Bed and Breakfast Astra - Naples

The hosts were wonderful and so helpful and friendly. They made you feel like one of the family. Our second morning they made us some kind of homemade cake and it was delicious! The place is a bit cluttered and the location seems a bit sketchy at first but once we were there a day we felt more comfortable with it. We stayed two nights.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was right at the historical centre and the historical streets are just around the corner. Struggled a bit when looking for the hotel for the 1st time (it doesn't help we arrived on their market day and full of people on the street). The lift to the place is not working, so had to carry our big luggage upstairs. Overall, we're happy with where we stayed.

The room was as expected, the owner does not stay there at night, at night there is no one from the management -you are on your own, in case something happens - doesn't give a comfortable feeling, there is no telephone at the place. Location is good

Astra is a diamond in the rough. For me it as an unforgetable experience. Maria's homemade preserve and Micele coffee, Best coffee have ever had, I made lifelong friends and think of them throughout my day. I can hear Maria saying "not to worry". I had my own personal guides. Michele seems to know everyone and we were welcomed in with each place we were visiting. Michele made lunch for us and an early dinner "yum". Still hard to believe the wonderful time I had. Gave me such an appreciation of Naples and the lovely, animated people. Please stay and experience two of the lovelies people in the world. '

It is a very friendly small hotel. The location is quite good. If you travel as a couple or 2-4 friends and you don't have a big budget and don't want to stay in a hostel, it's the right choice for you.

Highly recommended. Hosts are divine. Super clean and only noisy if the windows are open - but that's Napoli. Excellent advice on where to go; Maria will go over a map with you and show you the way to the sights in Napoli. The most easily reached part on foot is the Centro Storico which is about 5 minutes away. Do go to the pizza place that she recommends. It's busy as hell but you can get 'portare via' (take away) quite quickly. And remember that 'marinara' did not have seafood on it originally... and doesn't in Napoli most of the time. Do try the Crema di Limoncello at Astra, it's gorgeous. Only icky bit was the shower which had a mind of it's own with temperature control. I would most definitely stay here again.

Pia and Michele are very genuine people and go out of their way to help you.They showed us around naples.We tried tradional italian food and drink.Very enjoyable stay

That’s a pleasant and warm place where I’m going to come back at the first opportunity. Rooms (I’ve tried two) are light, spacious and clear, with a French window and great bed. Shower is outside, but rather comfortable, pretty hall with pictures and carpets, and the area is just cool (so Neapolitan and alive!), and staff is LOVELY! Mariapia and Michele, I love you, and my kiss to Luna. Recommend to everyone.

Welcoming, affability, helping, comfortable bed, good breakfast, maximum freedom for guest. What else should a traveler?

Nice place. If you don't like dogs don't stay here the people that run the BB have a little dog and some might be bothered by that.

One of the best hostels I ever saw. Tolle Lage, bester Service, angenehme Räume. Astra ist nur zu empfehlen!

Stayed in naples with my gf and the room were very clean and spacious enough. The employees were very very welcoming and everything was perfect.

Excellent bed and breakfast in Napoli, a warm place with lovely people. For sure next time I will go there again !!

We had a brilliant stay here. The owner and her family made us feel very welcome and really went out of their way to help us during our 3 night stay. Very busy area around Garabaldi but we had no problems in terms of safety at night. Would definitely stay here again. Grazie mille! Debbie & Dom

It was a great experience because the owner and employee are really very kind. I even had free acces to Internet and they were really helpful.

Very nice and helpful staff, well situated in the old town of Naples, easy to find if you use public transport. Only negative point: no fresh bread or 'cornetti' for breakfast.

Die Pension liegt sehr zentral, zur Station des Flughafen-Transfer-Busses sind es aber doch eher 1000 statt der angegebenen 400m. Sehr nette Chefin, die das Frühstück (sehr spartanisch !)aber leider nicht vor 08:30h anbieten konnte.Die extrem kleine Küche hat nur 3 Plätze, wenn mehrere Gäste da sind wird´s sehr eng.Zwei der drei angebotenen Duschen sind viel zu klein. Trotzdem ist die Pension empfehlenswert für Einzelreisende, die wirklich nur ein zentral gelegenes Bett suchen und sonst keine großen Ansprüche stellen

Staff is very nice. Room is clean and quiet. There is a distance from trainstation to hotel. But metro station is close to hotel. Just 5 minutes walk ways.

Very close to city center - easy to get anywhere. Hosts incredibly helpful and friendly. Breakfast a little sparse - supplement it yourself from the excellent little shop around the corner on Umberto if you want :) Breakfast room small - hence low rating - but usually not a problem. Private bathrooms but not attached to bedroom - but no-one there seems to mind walking around wrapped in just a towel :) You really need to speak Italian in Napoli!

Good service for a very cheap price; I would happily return. + Brand new facilities + Very friendly personnel (Antonio, Emilie. E.g. they allowed to use their laptop; but be prepared to speak Italian...) + Very clean + In a walking distance from major tourist attractions - Do not expect very rich breakfast - Nighttime the district is a bit scary (Even though in fact nothing wrong happened to us. In general do watch out for thieves if you go to Naples - in our single bus trip we saw two pickpockets.)

What a surprise when we discovered the B&B ! From the outside, we could hardly imagine it could be at this adress... dark street, damaged building... and once you have passed the door, it becomes cosy and very welcoming... The staff was very kind.
