Bed and Breakfast Chalet Rocco - Morano Calabro

Bed& breakfast dans une nature environnante pleine de charme .Des hôtes accueillants et très ouverts.

This place was a dream come true - the family is warm and friendly but gives you your distance and privacy. We had the house to ourselves, a kitchen a dining room, a fire (lit by the owners), advice (even down to where the speed traps were on the road). My only hesitation in giving a good review is the dear that others might find our amazing jewel of a place in Italy.

2 one night stays while motoring up and down Italy. Ideal location just a few minutes from motorway. Property situated in national park with beautiful surrounding countryside. Would like to return and spend more days to explore the area.

The bed must be harder. International standard will be nice. Actualy it si to smooth. It was a great experience too stay there. Nice people et great place

We had one overnight stay in July 2006 on our way to Sicily and one in August 2006 on our way back home. The B&B is situated in a very beautiful area close to the hills and is accessible via a very small road (although it is only 2km away from the motorway): we had a very warm welcome. our room was on the first floor with an access to a very large terrace. The owners are very nice people; the breakfast is quite italian but with some 'personal touch': fresh fruit, homemade cake. The B&B does not provide any dinner: there is a restaurant nearby which can be reached on foot from the B&B, otherwise you need a trip by car (+/- 10 kilometers) to reach one of the villages. We can surely recommend this B&B to anyone who needs an overnight stay on its way to somewhere else or for anyone liking a longer stay for a walk in the beautiful surroundings.

Nice place, friendly owner. Nice surroundings. A fattoria with traditional italian food nearby. We can recommend a visit in Mormanno and Morano Calabro

What an amazing place! We had the run of the house to ourselves, the views are stunning, and the owners very welcoming (provided you can speak Italian). It's way from anywhere, so we had a drive to find supper at a restaurant recommended by the owners, but when we did it was worth it.

Chalet Rocco is located in superb surroundings and I only wish we had been able to stay there longer. Calabria is greatly underrated as a holiday destination and we enjoyed the absolute peace and tranquility of this place, and the luxury of the Chalet located in close proximity to a really interesting and quirky restaurant in this scenic but isolated environment.

Very good: One member of the family was talking a good English All member of the family were very friendly The breakfast was very good The room was also very good, but for a longer staying it woould be better to seperate the room with a door
