After a long trip, my wife and I needed some rest and relaxation. Although the property was a little tricky to find, off the beaten path and down an unpaved road, Villa Cicolina was more than we could have imagined. The beautiful villa is surrounded by lovely landscaping and plush gardens, and wild chickens strut around the property. To the side is an infinity pool overlooking the hills to the north, with luxurious views. We stayed in the suite, a two room apartment with kitchenette and semi-private outdoor breakfast area. The suite was romantic, with draping on the bed, a pretty (but smallish) bathroom, and a spacious living room. The pictures don't do the villa justice...it was much prettier than we could have imagined. Everyone was incredibly pleasant, and the stay was remarkable. Montepulciano is a lovely city, with great restaurants and wines, and I would highly recommend it as a destination during a trip to Tuscany. If you go, Villa Cicolina is the perfect place to get away after the hustle and bustle of Florence or Rome.

This is the most wonderful place we have ever stayed, including the surroundings, property and room. When driving through the country and arriving at the Villa I am quoted as saying, "This is a small slice of heaven". Absolutely Beautiful. Breakfast in the breakfast room is fantastic and Sergio was extremely helpful. Be sure to schedule a private wine tasting with him, he is extremely knowledgable of the local region. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Cicolina. Our room was gigantic, staff helful, and surroundings lovely. We espcially enjoyed the evening meal that we had on our last night. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was that of a perfect Tuscan holiday evening.

How to reach B&B Villa Cicolina

By car
From North on A1 highway exit at Val di Chiana-Bettolle. Turn left in direction of Montepulciano, proceeding on SP 327. Pass through Bettolle and Torrita di Siena. Always following the indications to Montepulciano, proceed on SP 135 for about 7 km. At the end of a long descent, turn left in the opposite direction of Montepulciano. After about 300 meters you will arrive in front of the main entrance of Vecchia Cantina. On the left side of the entrance, a small road brings to Villa Cicolina.

From South on A1 highway exit at Chiusi-Chianciano Terme. turn left in directione of Montepulciano, pass through Chianciano, Sant’Albino and arrived in Montepulciano proceed to Montepulciano Stazione. After about 300 meters you will arrive in front of the main entrance of Vecchia Cantina. On the left side of the entrance, a small road brings to Villa Cicolina.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
