Poor driving directions. Upon arrival, welcoming was below standard. Room offered was too small and unacceptable. We negotiated a better room but had to pay more. The room we got was new and very nice, but missing some details. Wood burning fire place was a BIG hit. Shower is way too small. No "Great Room". Manager had relatives staying there that took up all her time and attention.

The directions to the farmhouse leave some room for improvement. Brush up on your Italian basics before you go, as there is little English spoken by the staff (adds to the authenticity of the experience, but made for some difficult conversations about directions, ammenities, etc).
Room Details
The farmhouse Ardene is made up of two farmhouses set in the midst of olive groves and fruit trees which are typical of the Tuscan landscape. It has a wide outdoor space (about 1,500 meters) and garden with a great variety of local herbs and plants and a barbecue area. By carFrom the north:
Leave the A1 highway at Valdichiana. Turn left, pass through Bettolle and reach Torrita di Siena. After 1 km, you will see on your right a sind to Montepulciano.
From the south:
Leave the A1 highway at Chiusi-Chianciano Terme, turn right on the SS 146 road to Montepulciano. From Montepulciano follow the aforementioned indications.
