Rocca di Monreale is nicely located, within walking distance (a tough climb though) of the cathedral. This is not Palermo but still a suburban, very densely populated area though the hotel is surrounded by orchards. The hotel however has no garden. Though nice view, no charm. The room was simple but OK Breakfast basic, OK. At the time of our visit, the hotel was undergoing major upgrading. The staff is sweet, friendly. Nearby restaurant Al Rustico2 has excellent Sicilian food, in an unpretentious setting.
