Bed and Breakfast La Villetta - Milan

The room was situated in a small private house in a calm one way street quite a bit from Milan center, owned by a very friendly, elderly couple. The environment was extremely "popular", and the owners paid a huge attention to "security", nothing should be left in the car ? One felt very dependant, as there was no particular access to the room, keys were not given why one had to ring the bell at every entry. Even if in Milano, the room at 100 € is far too expensive, this location should not exceed 60 €.I don't see why I should recommend this B&B to anybody !

We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Francesco, Yolanda and son, Marco. Their warmth and sociability overcame any language barriers (minimal) we may have had. We liked staying in a real home in a real Milan neighborhood, which did not feel touristy at all. The bathroom was beautiful! We were only there for one night, on our way to Geneva, but enjoyed the walk to the nearbv restaurant they recommended and stopping in some of the shops. Breakfast conversation was fun. We wish them well.

La Villeta is a charming, super clean, and moderately priced B&B about 20 minutes away (by metro) from the City centre and the train station. From the station you can take the metro to the location or a taxi will take you for about 11 Euros. The bathrooms were the most spacious we encountered during our trip, and the owner was not only extremely welcoming, but also very accomodating. She rolled-out an additional bed (no extra charge) for our 6 year old son. The neighborhood was super quiet, and in a nice suburban street. It is within a 2 min walk to the metro to reach the centre of the city. For families with samll children, the "metro" was the grosest and smallest one in all of Italy. We could barely fit the stroller, there are hardly any seats, and no A/C.

Very friendly people and warm welcoming.

We had a very friendly welcome at the B & B and help with luggage to our room.Although we were given a lot of assistance with directions and public transport information we found it difficult to buy tickets or locate buses from the area as it was Sunday.The property was very private and quiet although not far from a very busy road. The family were very friendly and the son had good english which was a great help. The light continental breakfast was served in the large family kitchen but did not feel very relaxed eating there, however they did make every effort to make us feel at home.

La villetta is good situated near to to fair and ggod to reach by train and bus to the centre of milan. Extremly nice service, you feel very familiar. Extremly clean room and bathroom.
