Bed and Breakfast Villa ai Tigli - Tessera, Mestre

If you don't mind walking, the location is fine. You have to walk up a street with no sidewalks to catch the bus which runs regularly. The woman in charge is very efficient but not much help with directions or any other questions not directly connected to the B&B and seemed somewhat rigid upon our first meeting.

Villa al Tigli was/is a gem! A beautifully decorated and outfitted B&B with lovely little touches everywhere. We especially appreciated the 5 am shuttle drive to the airport. A picnic breakfast that morning was another unexpected touch. Our only down side was that our GPS took us to 167 A then 167 B before we found 167. In North America we are unused to A & B parts of an address being totally different establishments. A marvelous find and half the price of downtown Venice.

We stayed at Ai Tigli our last night in Venice area choosing it because it offered van service to the airport, less than 2 km distant. Place is difficult to find because it has no sign other than a small plaque on the gate---it is opposite the large agriturismo and just before the auto body business. The grounds are nice but not spacious. The check-in service was fine, the room very nice. Did not have breakfast because we had to leave so early but---the best news---the manager Eliana was waiting for us at 05:30 to take us to the airport at no additional cost. Excellent service. For eating, the nearest restaurant is closed Thursdays but the fine restaurant at the Marriott Courtyard is a 10 minute walk. Overall, a good place for one night

WiFi does not exist, TV has only Italian Channels, stayed one night. Not easy to find, coming from airport the street via Triestina bears to the right just after the Marriot Courtyard Hotel, the main street continues, with another name. The B and B is on the left shortly after a resturant on the left and just before a AgroTurismo on the right, Only a smal sign on the gate to the B and B.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa ai Tigli. The family was extremely helpful in guiding us through our vacation to see Venice. Personal attention was given to us to make sure we knew the bus routes, the best prices for what we wanted to do. Maps of the area were given to us and special help with some credit card issues were volunteered without us asking. The outside patio was beautiful for our breakfast in the morning.

Villa ai Tigli exceed my expectations. very good service. confortable room. delicious breakfast. beautiful surroundings.

We reserved this room because we were flying out the next day from Marco Polo. It is very close to the airport--less than 10 min on bus which goes direct. Bus stop at front gate. Very clean, very nice room. Nice breakfast in the morning. We were very pleased. A bit difficult to find initially because the street numbers on one side of the street do not directly correspond to the other side--and our GPS was off accordingly, but we finally figured it out. It is also very easy to get to the City of Venice via bus or boat taxi from this B&B.

Villa ai Tigli is a lovely house and our room was spacious and clean - however, as all bedrooms are in the roof and there was only one Velux window in the room, it was rather dark. Great advantage being picked up from the airport but not the place to spend more than one night I don't think if you're visiting Venice. Surrounding area is not that nice. Breakfast was unimaginative (a plate of sweet croissants and other pastries, very strange juice and coffee). Overall, thought the price was high for what was offered. We only paid 200 euros for 3 nights on The Lido, but 90 euros for one night here.
