b&b - exterior Located in the centre of Maastricht, De Hofnar Bed & Breakfast is housed in a 1730's building which has played several roles in the past, including that of a cigar store. Evidence of this can be found in the image of the Dutch Hofnar cigar brand in the glass-stained window over the frontdoor.

This building is today a welcoming Bed & Breakfast of three modern and comfortable rooms. You will find free Wireless Internet connection, breakfast and bar service as well as a lovely courtyard to rest and sip a drink.

double room All of the rooms are accessible by way of a separate entrance. There is a spacious shared bathroom with toilet, shower, bath and double wash-hand basin on the first floor.

The room on the first floor has a double bed with TV and DVD player.
The room on the second floor takes up the whole floor. There is a twin bed and additional beds can be added. It is also equipped with a colour TV.
The third room is located partly on the second and partly on the third floor. A TV, a DVD player and a wash-hand basin with hot and cold water are on the second floor. A spiral staircase leads you to the third floor with double bed. There is a possibility for one or more additional beds.

How to reach B&B De Hofnar

By car
Coming from the A2 from Eindhoven or Heerlen, make a right at the first set of traffic lights when entering Maastricht. You will pass 2 set of traffic lights before crossing the bridge over the river Maas, called the Noorderbrug. At the next set of traffic lights stay on one of the 2 right lanes, then make a right turn. After 50 metres you will notice cars parked in front of Rene Pans Meubelboulevard. Keep driving as far as the traffic lights. After the lights make a right, and then turn right again. You are behind the GAMMA department store where free parking is available only during shopping hours. Once tou have parked your car, walk back to the traffic lights, cross the street and turn right into the Capucijnerstraat. Walk past the former fire station and you will find number 35 on your left. It is the house opposite to a grapevine.

By train
Maastricht central railway station lies within 15 minutes walk. Buses are also available.

By airplane
From Maastricht Aachen International Airport take bus line 51 to Market Place stop.
