Very enjoyable stay. Stefano and Guiseppe were so welcoming, helpful and informative, with suggestions what to see and where to eat, Guiglio's, for instance, excellent Tuscan cooking. The breakfast provided was generous and imaginative, torta di nonna even, but the tables on which to have this spread are somewhat cramped. Our stay at La Mimosa, with its quirky decor, was very special. Thank you, S and G.

Our stay at La Mimosa was very comfortable and Giussepe is a kind and welcoming host. Finding La Mimosa was quite difficult, as the directions are not very clear. Would recommend reviewing and clarifying them.

Excellent facility with very dedicated staff. BB La Mimosa is a great deal and we highly recommend it. The room was clean, large and very well decorated. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning with fresh pastries, fruit and delicious capuccinos.

La Mimosa was the perfect place and location for us. Guiseppi was the ultimate host, extremely helpful and generous! The B and B was wonderful, breakfast was great, bikes were a great bonus, and the location was easy to get to the inside of Lucca. A-PLUS!!!

Small B&B but Giuseppe and Stephano were the best. Both were very helpful and made us feel welcome every morning. We appreciated their smiles and would recommend LaMimosa to anyone who wants to be close to the walled city of Lucca without staying inside. The B&B is also within walking distance of good restaurants.

Not a standard B&B, but it reflects a personal touch due to the use of fresh colours in the rooms.

Hotel was average size for europe. Hotel was outside the walls which made for some walking. The best part was the staff. Very friendly and accommodating. This helped overcome mentioned shortcomings.

Our stay at La Mimosa was a wonderful start to our time in Lucca and Tuscany. Giuseppi is a kind and welcoming host and made sure we had a comfortable room and everything we needed for our stay. When my mother got ill on the day we were to leave, we returned to La Mimosa and they kindly made room for us and made sure she was well. Giuseppi is a host who loves to travel and learn from his guests. His English is good and he is proud and enthusiastic about Lucca and Tuscany. This is a fantastic place to have your Lucca vacation. My only distraction was that I am still working while traveling. Their breakfast and lounge is not open all the time, and some rooms do not have a space to sit, only the beds. They do have WiFi you may use, however.

Wonderful place to stay, the two young men Stefano & Guiseppe, who run it were helpful, friendly & charming. Breakfast was good, our room,Edera, was perfect, hotspot for good internet access & bikes to to use for a fun day riding round this lovely flat town & it's ancient walls. I would certainly stay here again if I were to return to Lucca.

Room was a little small for three days butGiuseppe's warmth more than made up for any issues- there is a large common room where great breakfast's are served and there is Wireless internet in the rooms. We throughly enjoyed our stay-very close to the city- bike rentals was included in the price so we spendt a day riding around the wall and Giuseppe was able to arrange Vespa rentals for the one day it didn't rain. Now if someone could just do something about the weather....

Stayed here on our first trip to Italy and Giuseppe's warmth and helpfulness are what's driving me to put up my first ever review! This was our 5th B&B in a 14 day trip and quite honestly my wife and I had resolved to NEVER stay in B&Bs again, before Mimosa that is. People like Giuseppe are the reason tourists stay in B&Bs, to experience the warmth and 'family feeling' you'll never get in a hotel. But Giuseppe's ensured that his B&B is about more than him. Mimosa was THE cleanest and most tastefully decorated B&B of the six during our trip that we stayed in. Read the guest book to understand how popular this place is. People have been so impressed and touched, they've left their phone numbers inviting Giuseppe to visit them (so did we) Here are some highlights: - Giuseppe helped us put together a last minute winery tour, helping us call wineries, ensuring we got good deals and knew how to get there. - When we requested him to call a cab for us to the station, he insisted on driving us personally instead! - Breakfast was notches above average. Generously, many items are kept on till late afternoon so you can return to snack. - Free bicycles (very good condition) are a great touch. They’re a great way to see Lucca, especially the fort walls which are great for biking - Bathrooms were spotless and hot water available throughout. The rooms themselves were way better than a typical B&B, with tasteful curtains, bed covers .. - Free Wifi was great to have Here are the only cons we could see, we did discuss them with Giuseppe and wouldn't be surprised if he's already fixed these. - Wifi connection was not always on - The few rooms facing the street were slightly noisy but the fact that traffic isn't heavy especially in the late evenings helps - The place is not easy to find on foot. If you've arrived by Train, take a cab instead

Directions to the B&B from the train station were not very clear so it wasn't easy to find the B&B. However, when we did find it, we received a very warm welcome. The B&B is very conveniently placed just a short walk away from the Port Anna entrance of the city walls. We found our host very helpful and we spent a very enjoyable three days exploring Lucca.
