Villa Borbone is a beautiful b&b in a stunning location, with wonderful views of the Tuscan countryside from its lovely terrace. Gardens and swimming pool are immaculate and the obvious pride of owner Cosimo. Our room was rather warm at night but the views from our window in the morning compensated for that. Staff work very hard to ensure guests are well cared for. HOWEVER - be warned that the villa is not 5 mins from Lucca as on Venere website. It is a good 15-20 min drive. We had no car and had to rely on the owner to drive us to restaurants in the evening (which he kindly did)and taxis. My husband and I and 14 yr old son had 3 wonderful nights and will definately return, but with a car next time!!
