La Magnolia welcomes you to the historical centre of Lucca, in the garden of the sixteenth century Palazzo Bottini.
Located just behind Piazza Anfiteatro and near to the famous Torre Guinigi, it is also close to via Fillungo, the main street in Lucca.
La Magnolia has 5 rooms, double and single, which are part of the old Palazzo Bottini and are looking out to the garden.
Guests arriving by car can make use of a nearby private parking area with custodian.
Its special location will provide you a nice and quiet accomodation and at the same time the possibility of taking part to the city life.
The owners’ kindness will be available to satisfy and guide you to the discovery of the town and its culture.

How to reach La Magnolia Bed and Breakfast

By car
Once you get to Lucca take directions for centre . You will come to the ringroad surrounding the walls which have six gates to get inside. The two gates to reach our B&B are Porta S. Maria and Porta Elisa .
From Porta S. Maria:
Get through the gate and cross the square (right in front there's a tourist office for any need)
and go into Via Fillungo .
Continue into Via S. Gemma Galgani till the end
and turn right into Via della Fratta and
afterwards turn left into Via Mordini where you will find us at n. 63 .
From Porta Elisa :
Once you get through the gate (a tourist office is on the right) go along via Elisa until the sign of no access.
Then turn right into Via S. Chiara and you will get to
Piazza S. Francesco ( on your right the church with the big rosone on the façade).
Turn to the left and pass the high statue of the Madonna
Then straight on into via della Fratta and finally
Turn left into Via Mordini and we will wait for you at n.63 .


By train
In front of the railway station there is a taxi or shuttle bus service available for the centre.
If you prefer to take a nice walking tour:
cross the railway station square (walking across the garden) and then
the traffic road that surrounds the city walls.
Walk along the pedestrian path that cross the lawns and gets into the walls.
You will get into the historical centre on the lawns right behind the Cathedral of San Martino .
Cross the square to the right until you get into Via dell'Arcivescovato.
Walk along it, cross via S. Croce and go along Via Guinigi .
At the end turn left into via Mordini and our B&B is at n.63.

By public transportation
The bus station is in Piazzale Verdi .
Leaving the bus station behind you, go to the right
and walk into Via S.Paolino ( first street on the right) until you get to
Piazza S.Michele.
Walking along the right side of the square you will reach
Via Roma, and then after a few meters go to the left into
Via Fillungo the main street of Lucca.
Walk along it until the street turns slightly to the right and turn right into Via Mordini .
At n.63 of Via Mordini la Magnolia will wait for you on the left.
