The hotel is in the centre of Lucca, near the most important churches. You can move on foot or by bike (only 5 € a day). The employee was so nice and lovely!!! She suggested us the best restaurants and places to see! I recommend this property!!! I'd return to it...I hope soon!

We stayed at La Boheme for a weekend break and cannot give it enough praise. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful, the rooms are fantastic, and a very nice breakfast until 1030 so you can lie in. The perfect base to stay to explore this wonderful city. Consider no other place to stay.

The hotel is well situated. Lucca is a walking town and La Boheme is right in the thick of things. The staff was extremely helpful both with directions to sights and recommendations as to where to eat and what to do. Sara was a delight and makes a mean scrambled egg. The down sides are there is no common space or lobby and there is a large number of stairs to navigate so if you have any mobility issues this is not the place for you.

This is an adorable place. I would return to Lucca just to stay at La Boheme again.

The only problem we had was the noise from the street early in the morning - street cleaners, school children, people going to work and the click click on the cobblestones as people walked - but that was unavoidable because of the locality of the hotel - we were very impressed with the girls who got breakfast for us, made us coffees and helped us with our questions - we were holidaying in Lucca for three days as part of our Italian adventure and enjoyed the city very much.

After travelling around in Italy for one month we ended up in Lucca and La Bohème. The room was really nice and spacious and I loved the bathroom with it´s candlelights! The breakfast included everything you could need, even freshly made scrambled eggs.Don´t forget to take a bike-trip on the wall that surrounds the old city and a nice place to eat is at Prosciutto & Melone. It´s situated on a street close to the Roman theatre square.

A modest B&B with just one reception room, apart from the breakfast room. We thought the photos were very flattering, the actual room decor was rather ordinary, in a rather dated English style. Lovely bathrooms however with excellent showers. Also the breakfast was very good with a choice of lovely fresh rolls, eggs, ham and cheese as well as the usual jams etc. We paid the same price in Florence at the Caravaggio for far superior accommodation (in our opinion) Good central location in Lucca though.

La Boheme is located right in the center of Lucca. The taxi from the railway station cost about $7 but it is really only 10 minutes walking distance. Since we stayed three days we were given a spacious room with a four-poster bed, antique furniture and a large bathroom with separate shower and bath tub. My only two trivial negatives are the breakfast which was rather meager and the tiny TV in the room high up on the wall. This is a great location if you want to explore Lucca. By the way, Lucca is so much more interesting and lovely than Pisa which can be reached by train in 20 minutes.

This B&B is simply lovely and within the old walls. The bathroom was huge by European standards. The host Ranieri, and his staff, were charming and helpful. This is definately a jewel in a wonderful tuscan city.

La Boheme is a very charming bed & breakfast with beatiful rooms. Even though we had a little problem with the airconditioning the first nights, we had a real pleasant stay.

An excellent Bed and Breakfast to stay in and we have stayed in most in the centre of Lucca. All the facilities were of an excellent standard and the owner, Ranieri, was very welcoming. Unfortunately there is some work being done in a neighbouring apartment and they began work at 8 am one morning. Other than that, and I am sure it was a one off, I would not hesitate to stay there again.

This is a very nice bed and breakfast in a beautiful town. The owner was very helpful, and the accommodations were a combination of old world elegance and modern facilities. We will recommend it highly to our friends and will definitely return for another stay.

I would recommend La Boheme to anyone. The staff were friendly, the room very comfortable and the breakfast fresh and plentiful. The location was ideal for exploring Lucca. Good value for money.

Signor Ranieri was wonderfully helpful with severeal problems unrelated to our stay at La Boheme. This is a small but exellent place.

The owner Ranieri,was most helpful by e mailing us to ask what time we were expected to arrive and on arrival was there to greet us and explain about the parking etc.The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Since we arrived back from our holiday, he has e mailed us again to thank us for staying and hoping that we enjoyed our visit to La Boheme and Lucca.Just that extra personal touch that stands out from the rest !

Realy nice and small hotel in the center of Lucca! Best location for sightseeings in town. Newly renovated rooms with large bathroom and large shower. Very private!

This was the only hotel that we stayed in during our two week travels in Italy that did not provide a hairdryer, which was a little disappointing. The room was very spacious, but the breakfast was very disappointing. A roll and coffee was about all we got.

Thank you to Johnny, Andrea & Marta for a wonderful stay! Our red room was beautiful, we loved the breakfast & the breakfast room. You could not have been more friendly & helpful. It is a very convenient location, a lively area if a little noisy. We loved it and would come again.

We really enjoyed La Boheme. The location was perfect, and the Manager was extremely welcoming and helpful. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and are spotlessly clean. I cannot fault this property at all.

The welcome and facilities were of excellent quality for the type of accommodation we expected. The couple who ran the B & B were very helpful and spoke competent English. I had emailed them to get directions as to the exact location of the hotel and they were spot on - we found it straight away. It is situated down a narrow street, but it is central and very convenient. The rooms were clean and the service was very good, as was the breakfast. Excellent value for money

We loved staying in this place because the rooms and the overall property were lovely charming. The staff were so friendly and accomodating. We would rate this establishment as a 5-star but the noise level was pretty high. In the mornings, we could hear the pigeons cooing and the Luccheses getting up noisily for their day. And on the Saturday night we were there, some residents in or next to the building were having a very loud party which kept us up a bit. Overall, however, we very much enjoyed our stay at La Boheme and would recommend it. The noise level did not diminish all the charm of this wonderful place with a super staff.

The room was comfortable, and well decorated. It was not air-conditioned, and in order to get cool air from outside, one had to open the window. The noise from the street was horrific with the window open; not bad when closed. The price was rather high, considering the nights prior to our stay at La Boheme were in a 4-star luxury hotel (not in Lucca) that cost only 25 Euros more per night.

Breakfast can be improved
