The landlord “Il Casale di Nanni” is situated from approximately 1 km from the beautiful sixteenth century walls that enclose the city of Lucca, but is as the same time dipped into the quiet countryside. The country house (which belongs to the family who managed it for several generations) is entirely restructured but maintains all its typical characteristics such as the old tiling pavements in “cotto”, ceilings of small joist put in from mizzens and a great terrace from which you can enjoy the pleasant panorama surrounding it; moreover it is equipped of all the modern comfort such as air conditioning and independent heating, TV, Internet, mini bar, hair dryer and a bathroom with a shower in every bedroom.The breakfast will be prepared and served by a receiving and friendly staff and will be taken in a large room equipped it of satellite TV and in the warmer months you could be served in a great inner courtyard with a nice view on the park where you will also find the private parking, the swimming pool and the playground for the children.The structure is equipped of a large multi-activities room and offers you the possibility to rent bicycles. The customer is free to enter and exit at any hour of day or night as he will carry with him the key of his bedroom and the key of the main door.The staff will be happy to give you all the touristic information and itineraries to follow to get to know and appreciate Lucca and its outskirts.

Stayed a full week in il casale and would thoroughly recommend it. The greeting we received from livietta was warm and welcoming.We arrived by bus from pisa airport-3 euros.taxi from lucca to hotel was 10 euros. As we had no car we walked into lucca- twice a day. It's a 20 minute walk, not 10 or 40 mins as some have said.Had several good meals in lucca but would recommend 2 restaurants in particular: cantine bernardini and rusticanella.The staff at il casale cannot be praised too highly for their friendliness and efficiency and were more than responsive to our all too frequent requests. After 10 nights sightseeing in Florence,Rome and Pisa we spent 4 wonderful nights in Lucca. The B&B was great.Breakfast buffet was fantastic and the staff would make eggs and bacon/ hot chocolate/espresso etc. They were all very friendly and we were given lots of advise on places to eat in Lucca which all turned out to be excellent restaurants. The pool area and garden is really lovely and very quiet.It was about 900m to the city walls which took us about 15mins.It was a plesent walk and Lucca is a lovely place to walk round in the evening.We will definately go again and will probably hire a car so we can see the surrounding area. A really special place!!

A very nice and quiet place about 900 m. from the Lucca center. Bicycles for rent. Swimming pool and garden very good and clean. Very recommended. Kindful host and a great breakfast!

Très bon acceuil. Les enfants ont apprécié la piscine. C'est tout près du centre ville. seul bemol : la chambre pour 4 est très petite, mais pour une deux nuits, ça ne pose pas de problème.
