Bed and Breakfast Don Chisciotte - Picciorana, Lucca

The rooms were fine, the house didn't look so at first sight. The noise of the street was too loud.

The property was easy to find and the rooms were spacious. The big drawback: NOISE! It's right on the main street, and has no AC. Sleeping was difficult especially on the lower floors. Another drawback was that breakfast was not served on the property but at a cafe down the road.

The weak point of this bed and breakfast is the main road just below the windows - the traffic noise was horrible. No really. Horrible. We read about it in reviews from other travellers but thought they were just too picky. No. There is an endless stream of cars even during the night. As there is no aircondition, you either can't sleep because of temperature or with open windows because of the noise. It is a pity, because otherwise the room was nice and clean, comfortable bedding. Lucca is supposed to be only 2.5km down the road but this is not up to the historical centre. Public transportation operates until 18:45. Considering the heavy traffic, no street lights and no pedestrian sidewalk we rather took a taxi which was 13eur. And 13 back. Will avoid next time for sure.

We spent one night here. The room was spacious but very noisy because located on the main road side of the hotel. Ear-plugs are advisable. The credit card payment came off badly, but the staff reacted correct. The only inconvenience was that no staff was available in the morning. The remote breakfast was poor.

Not clean, hot, noisy. Of the 8 places we stayed in during this Italy trip, this is the worst, we hardly slept; the operator was anxious to leave, so she practically hurried us to get settled. Parking around the corner. It is a place to avoid. Cofee & cake at the QQ3 bar were excellent but we had to pay to get juice and hot chocolate for the kids.

Hotel muy correcto, cómodo para acceder a Lucca y a Pisa. Habitación muy espaciosa y baño grande y limpio. Dificil acceso, sólo con coche, pero aparcamiento gratuito a 50m. Algo ruidoso, ya que una de sus fachadas da a una carretera regional muy transitada.

Very nice and helpful staff. Rooms towards the street a little noisy. Smart to ask for rooms in advance that is not out against the street. Very clean and spacious rooms. Didnt bother to find the breakfast place, since its not in the same building. Had breakfast in coffeshop closer to town. Very good standard for the price.

We only didn't enjoy the bathroom because it is too small and moiste; and the breakfast wasn't in the B&B (on the other side of the road) and it was too light and frugal.

In front of the B&B there is the bus stop that arrive directly in Lucca, is very confortable, it' s better that you buy the ticket before, because on the bus cost 2 eur instead of 0,80. It's the cheapest location that I have found in Lucca. I suggest to ask the room not on Via pesciatina, but be advise that maybe there aren't with the bath in room

Unterkunft gemessen an sonstigen Preisen in Lucca günstig, Personal sehr freundlich, aber leider an einer der Haupteinfallsstraßen nach Lucca gelegen-fast die ganze Nacht fahren die Laster quasi durchs Zimmer, und wegen des enormen Verkehrs ist es kaum empfehlenswert, die ca. 3 Kilometer zum Zentrum zu Fuß zu gehen.

We spent wunderful days in Lucca, and we were absolutely satisfied with the accomodation.

Good service and friendly staff, but difficult to locate the property, a lot of noise at night due to the main road right by, and not too much restaurants in the area.

The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The accomodations were excellent - very clean and comfortable. We will definitely plan to stay at this location again. We even recommended it to a stewardess on our flight back home!

Good accomodation. The breakfast was served in a bar at 100m from the hotel. The parking area is 50m from the hotel. Goood deal for visiting Lucca, Pisa cities and province.

L'endroit est trés agréable et le personnel adorable. J'ai été enchanté par ce sejour dans l'auberge! Malgré le froid des chambres, les dirigeants de l'établissements ont su communiquer une grande chaleur, merci encore!

What a great little find! What a bargain! It's very basic, clean and well taken care of. And spacious by european standards. The staff was very willing to help with anything we needed. If you are looking for no nonsense, bargain lodgings, this is the place. It is somewhat of a challenge to locate though, call for more specific directions.

Sehr schönes kleines Hotel mit einem persönlichen Touch. für einen günstigen Aufenthalt in der toscana gut geeignet. Frühstück ist leider in einer Kaffeebar auf der anderen Straßenseite.

B&B booked but breakfast at cafe 2oo metrs away and also 1km away on mornings of stay. Staff extremely helpful when on location.

Everything was fine, booking and confirmation went well, recepition at the hotel was fine, unfortunately we had a room facing the main road and slept was practially impossible
