Great location as it is basically inside the historic part of Lucca. Rooms are very spacious and clean and the staff very friendly. Bathroom was amazing as it is very big, not always the case in Italy. Even our room was facing the street and the windows are not soundproof, it was quiet. If ever again in Lucca, the Dimora dei Guelfi would be the first choice of accommodation.

How to reach Dimora dei Guelfi Bed and Breakfast
By carHighway: Crossing the A11 and the A12 to exit to the tollgate of Lucca Est, continue toward until you reach a rotary and go right (mind that the city walls must be on your left), keep going straight ahead and enter toward the citygate "Porta Elisa", then continue straight on in Via Elisa after 100mt. you will see a cross turn right in Via S. Chiara, then at the end of the street, turn left in Piazza San Francesco and Via della Fratta after 50 mt. on your right you will see a square, Piazza S. Pietro Somaldi, we are there at n° 5.
By train
Stop Lucca center. Once you get out from the railway station just cross the square and direct yourself toward the boundaries, then enter in the city through the citygate. Turn right until you reach Via della Rosa, then go straight on for 300 mt. and you will reach a square, Piazza Santa Maria Foris Portam, go straight ahead in Via dell’Angelo Custode until you reach Piazza San Pietro Somaldi, we are there at n°5.
By airplane
