Bed and Breakfast Antica Residenza Santa Chiara - Lucca

The hotel is very well located, you can walk and be in the centre of the city in 5 mins time. We were 2 adults and 2 children and had one very large room. I suggest to Book parking as you can let the car just in front of the hotel where there is room for 3 cars only; breakfast was ok, could chose a nice variety of food. Lucca is a very nice city, I suggest renting bikes, they have many types according to the age of the child, and have a tour along the walls.

Nice B & B, good location a little outside the most crowded streets. Breakfast was very good, better than expected. During our stay the air condition did not work properly and switch off every 30 minutes. It made the rooms too hot, and the space offered for 4 persons were too small.

This B&B served our needs well. It was clean and spacious, with fresh decor. The hostess was pleasant and helpful. The location was a bit noisy and the breakfast eating area was a bit unusual - a tented-in back patio that one entered by leaving the residence and walking around the corner. It was a bit chilly, but the breakfast was very good. We would probably not return to this site, now knowing a bit about Lucca and other options.

A nice stay. The residence is quite elegant and refined, and the value of the accommodation is well worth the price.

We had some problems with the electricity in the room -- but to be fair, the town was having intermittent power outtages at the same time.

Very well situated near the centre of Lucca. Good for staying a few days. Also can be used as a base from which other places nearby (for instance Pisa) can be visited.

Lucca is a fantastic place which we really loved. This B&B was really well located and a small hotel with a lot of character. The staff not being there at times meant we did not really benefit from their presence and created difficulties when we arrived in the heat of the day.

Great accomodation 5 minutes stroll from town centre and 2 minutes from nearest restaurants. Friendly helpful staff and the buffet style breakfast is excellant with plenty of choice.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had the room for four and it had a small private balcony that lead to the breakfast area that was really pretty. Our room was very pretty too. We only stayed one night but it was a very pleasent relaxing night. We rented bikes at a rental place near by that the staff with there great english directed us to. Breakfast was good. Would recommend and revisit here.

Wonderful bed and breakfast in every way! The only problem was there was no internet available.

B&b bien situé dans la ville de lucca. chambre spacieuse, bien décorée , nous avions une suite. possibilité de se garer à proximité avec parcmétre (gratuit la nuit); dommage, en cette saison le petit déjeuner est servi en plateau en chambre.

Everything about the Inn was exceptional. The room was large, beautiful and clean. The location is ideal (5 minute walk to the train yet central to everything in the old town). I will definitely return when revisiting Lucca.

Santa Chiara was a nice little hotel, inside the walls of Lucca. The breakfast was lovely and the rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff always provided assistance when asked. We would stay there again.

Residence is located in a quiet street but close to everything - shopping and the wall around the city. Room was very spacious and had great character. Really enjoyed the breakfast out in the garden patio. Just a short taxi ride from the train station.

A good place to stay with good location, around twenty minutes walk from train station. Surrounding area is quiet and all tourist site can be easily reach within 10min. We enjoy staying in Lucca and this B&B provide what we wanted. We're satisfied with their service.

I stayed 2 nights in Lucca.Found the breakfast very good----a lot better than last year's reviews suggested. On the quiet side of town which suited me and there is a very good restaurant nearby. I would stay here again.

Pequeño hotel familiar,muy céntrico,se llega a todo paseando,habitaciones espaciosas,limpias,desayuno no muy variado pero correcto,tienen parking del hotel cercano a muy buen precio.

Lovely room with bathroom, excellent breakfast, staff very kind and helpfull.

3 months prior to arriving we had booked our room yet when we arrived we were told there was a "problem" with our room and were given a smaller one! When questioned we discovered someone checking in a day earlier had insisted on having our room over their pre-booked one. I consider that very poor customer relations/service. Could definitely supply more fresh fruit at breakfast, too many sweet things and not enough savoury available for breakfast. Listing says ironing board available, but when requested did not have cover - had to use blanket instead.

This is a great little family run b&b in central location. The room is very comfortable,clean and well equipped. Excellent breakfast!
