Bed and Breakfast Alla Dimora Lucense - Lucca

This is a lovely property run by two very service-oriented women. We found the recommendations for what to see, what to do, where to go, restaurants all to be first rate, and sensitive that we were looking to experience something beyond the usual touristy stuff. The rooms were impeccably kept - neat and clean. The location was great with easy access to nice restaurants, shopping, the evening passiagiata, concerts, etc. All this while still not being on a main street. Although it is a small hotel, it is closer to a B & B in quality; it was a quiet place with a sense of almost staying in somebody's home...it was that well cared for! Our hostess clearly loved her home town, and wanted to show that to visitors. We highly recommend this property. We highly recommend Lucca!

Very small room - and the absolute first time staying at a B&B where breakfast is not included in the price! we had breakfast once, and it was expensive and not particularly good. we found this B&B in the Michelin guide and thought it would be a good 'boutique style place to stay in Lucca - it is not at all. we are very disappointed with the place. hardly no amenities at the hotel - and the small court yard mentioned - it is SMALL! too expensive for a B&B that is not better in quality.
