We asked for a quiet room, but we had one, clean but quite small, at the first floor, direct on the Belgrave Street... so, noise till about 3.00 h a.m. and then early in the morning.

We had a great time in Winchester Hotel. The room was clean, we had a beautiful view and the window led to the quite street, the only disadvantage was missing elevator because the steps are very steep. But hotel clerk was very kind and helped us with the luggage. Room was narrow but OK.

Rooms small, the room behind the reception desk was noisy & only had a fan, no air con. Free internet was very handy. The location was very close to the station & bus depot.

The Winchester Hotel is really a good bed&breakfast. There you can find everything you need for a nice stay in London, clean rooms (with bathroom), very good english breakfast and kind employees. Furthermore it's situated in a very quite area, not more then 5 minutes far from the Victoria rail and tube station.

It was the second time for me in London. It was the first time at B&B Winchester Hotel and I'm sure that I will stay there next time I will go back to London. It is near the most famous monuments, just 15 minutes walking. Very close to Victoria Station and tube. A few buses in the road ( the bus stop is 5 minutes from the hotel). Many pubs, restaurants, cinemas and shopping centre in the near. Perfect for business people and for turists.

Staying in Central London is an expensive proposition. The Winchester Hotel is adequate... The rooms are small and the hotel is a bit worn looking, but clean. The full English breakfast was good and the location was excellent. They also have free Internet access, which was very convenient. If you can, try to get a room that doesn't face on the street, which is very busy and noisy. Also, be aware that air conditioning is a fan. Staying here in the heat of August would be very uncomfortable.

We were delighted with the Winchester, the staff were helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean and modern and the breakfast was great. Altogether a fine experience which we hope to repeat. We have been to London many times before and I think this is the best B&b we have stayed in.

Upon check-in, we were alarmed to hear the clerk tell us they had not been notified by venere.com of our reservation. We doubt this, as we had no such difficulty elsewhere with our venere bookings. When we reviewed e-mails after our trip, we found the Winchester had not sent us a direct confirmation, as all others booked through venere did. But they found a room for us the first night at the price quoted, and had us transfer across the street to another hotel in their organization for our second night in London. Apart from this problem, the hotel seemed all right, though nothing remarkable. Our room was extremely cramped, however. I believe the price was 89 pounds, which seemed high for what was provided, but I imagine is not out of line for central London. Breakfast was well done, with silverware and a wide variety of food.

The room was not spacious as indicated but very clean and the staff is very nice and helpful. Bits and pieces which could be improved but Breakfast is excellent (congratulations to the cook) and location is perfect.
