In my personal opinion, this is a waste of your money!!!!! Except of the location, this is not even close to being an accommodation worth staying. It is a regular house the owner changed into a "Bed and Breakfast". Speaking of....Breakfast: slices of bread with some small packages of jam or cereals. Bed: too small for two people an very very filthy. In our case additionally with a huge dark stain on the mattress which was visible trough the sheets. Staff was not friendly or helpful at all. One of them couldn't even talk good english, not joking. My advice: Spent your money to stay away from this place!!!

Yes it's very cheap, and you get a room, a bed, a basic continental breakfast. Why complain? The wallpaper is sticky, the floor has seen why, the toilet/shower is tiny, walls and ceilings are thinnest. No reason to complain? Well yes, if you are no service-person, but only a robot, you'd better go into a factory and stop running a B&B. With one exception the staff is stubborn, non-communicative and don't care who's asking for the room-access. Do not leave any values in the room. I do not suspect them to take it away, but they won't care either. Trick, always ask for the wrong number, then correct them, after the 3rd day they will remember you. I didn't stay that long. Bring all toilet-accessories with you. they have nothing beyond a single towel and the worst soap ever used. Internet access is just not available anywhere aside from the main entrance. Even no phone signal in the room.

My boyfriend and I stayed there for a night and arrived in the early hours of the morning. We were pleased to see that there had 24hr check in and were even more pleased that the person at reception was not moody for being there at 2am. From the outside the hotel looks very nice, but inside it looks fairly dated. The corridor is narrow and I would say a good update wouldn't go amiss. Upon getting into our room, we found that we could hear people in the rooms around us when they went to the shower (which was shared with people on the level) and those walking around. The bathroom itself is very small and looks very old. The room that we stayed in was decent for what were paid for and we were only there for one night. I would not recommend it to someone who is staying there for a long period of time as there is not that much space, but is good for a couple of days. Overall, I was pleased with the service that I received and it was a good price considering that it is only a few minutes away from Victoria station. However they could do with an update.

The only possitive thing about this place is the area. It's very close to Victoria Station, therefore easy to travel around the city. Room was very poor, so small, that it was hard to move around for two people, double bed was acually a single one. We stayed there for four nights during Easter, despite that they were renovaiting the bathroom and painting walls. The staff was not welcoming at all. Not a good place for a holiday in London.

The room was very dirty: filthy carpet, marks on the walls, worn paint. The curtain of the window of the room (in the basement) was badly hooked and it was impossible to get the room in the dark. The dining room was also poorly maintained and dirty. The reception is very rude. One has the impression that they have no idea how to receive customers. The price is relatively cheap for London, but this does not justify dirt and bad reception.

If you like the finer things in life then stay away from this place. But if you just want a place to put your head down stay a night or 2 at a reasonable London price then it works. Yes, the place needs a total refurbishment or at least a tidy up and just a simple lick of paint (I see it, the owners may not or just haven't got the money?) Toilet needed fixing to the floor better and black mold coming through the paint work in a toilet there are no excuses for, priority No:1 is toilets are spotless in a hotel specially shared loos. I got what I was expecting but this place could be so much nicer if some time and effort not really cash was invested.

The hotel is close to Victoria station which is a great thing when you have to drag your suitcase to the underground. On the other hand you hear the trains during the night, not overly loud though. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate for the price. I will gladly return.

Pro: the hotel is only a few minutes walk from Victoria station, and it is good enough for the normal price. Unfortunately we stayed there for 1 night during the Olympic Games and the rooms were overpriced. Contra: The double room was rather small and the bathroom very tiny; everything was rather old except TV. There is no lift, so it is difficult to carry luggage upstairs.

This hotel is in a brilliant location with only a few minutes walk from Victoria station, and at such a low price, it was a natural choice for my low budget weekend trip. However, I would have expected the cleanliness of the room to be better. The interior looked old and worn-out, and the carpet seemed like it could do with a good rinse. Although I didn't spot anything, I felt a little paranoid as to what sort of creatures I might be sharing the room with, in particular with regard to the bed with its old wooden frame, and so the first thing I did when I got home was to wash all my clothes at 60 degrees and clean out my suitcase. After all, I didn't want to risk bringing back any unexpected hitch-hikers...

"Cheap and cheerful" in the positve sense of the term. The basement room I was given was minute and not particularly warm despite the heating being on at full blast. Staff were all welcoming and timidly friendly, but when I had problems with the hotel Wi-Fi were at a loss as to what to do. Fortunately, they have a communal computer for (limited) use by guests. N.B.: In common with most London hotels Wi-Fi is not free. Breakfast is simple but adequate - some fresh fruit would be welcome - a comment I heard from other guests too. Great location near Victoria and an excellent choice for visiting the city or just passing through where prolonged stays in the room are not necessary.

I stayed in a single basic room which was in the basement for a 2 night stay. The shared shower facilities were adequate and with no one else staying on my floor there was no rush in the mornings. The bedroom was small, typical of central London and the bed was comfortable. Carpet, curtains and bedding were clean but rather shabby. Breakfast was cereal and toast served just behind the reception area. My main gripe was that the staff were rather unwelcoming - no smile, welcoming comments about journey etc., in other words their customer service skills were quite poor, considering that they are working in the public service industry. Breakfast orders were given with almost an acusatory tone i.e. you want toast?/tea?/coffee?/cereal? etc. A smile and a caring comment cost nothing. There was also a charge for storing luggage until 2pm on the day of departure - whilst I appreciate space may be an issue, it does leave a rather nasty taste in the mouth at the end of a very good stay. I would recommend this hotel, however, the price, location and setting are excellent.

OK hotel, very central, with Victoria Station/ underground & bus services/ the Gatwick Express just a 5 minutes walk away. We had a very small double room with the tiniest bathroom ever, but everything was clean and in fairly good order. Friendly and helpful staff, free internet in the breakfast room. No lift in the house. We may visit this hotel again, mainly because of the very convenient location when travelling via Gatwick airport. We would most likely ask for a bigger room, though!

Given the horrendous hotel prices in London this hotel offcered a very good value for money...it is a budget hotel and you don't expect luxury but a simple clean room, nice environment and location. The only problem was the late entry at night...you don't have your own key and have to ring. The person in charge at night was always fast asleep and it took a while to wake him up to open the door. As I returned to the hotel late at night he didn't seem very pleased and was not very nice on repeated occasions. I advise the hotel to make their mind up.....either give people entry keys OR put people on shift who understand their role and are not bothered if you interrupt their sleep while on shift. All in all great value for money.

Sourrondings are nice and safe, no problems to go out at night also if we were only girls. The breackfast room is not big but breakfast is nice, not so many choiches but simple and nice. Staff is nice and polite. The price is very good for the area and service (walk distance from Victoria, so if you arrive at night you won't have unpleasant problems with taxi fees). Because I was flying out of Heathrow the next morning, I wanted something close to the coach station, and the Jubilee fit that bill. While my single was 'en suite' the bathroom was barely the size of a closet, and had a very musty order to go along with burned out light. The entire room was smaller than my bathtub at home. The bed was comfortable enough, squeezed up against the wall in a very tight corner. It wasn't a great way to end a wonderful two week trip.

For London, it's not a bad deal. The map on the website is wrong - the street indicated only exists after you cross a bridge (3 blocks down from Victoria Station), where the street you turned left onto, turns into the one on the map (on the other side of the bridge)...took me an hour to find the place on foot once out of Victoria Station...so beware ! The place is a bit of a dive, but for London, it's not bad...especially if you're from Canada and have to factor in a 100% exchange rate....

Then, the location was perfect, very close to Victoria coach station and to the underground. I'll definitely be back next time I'll travel to London!

It's the common not-very-expensive hotel type of Victoria Station zone. However the price is very convenient, and the location is excellent if you need to use the public transport. Victoria station is very well connected to every part of London and its surroundings. To sum up, I paid the double or even more for a similar hotel. I would stay here again if I have to be in London for a short period of time, and specially if I'm traveling solo.

Small rooms, but clean. Westayed with 4persons, 2 children at 8 and 10 years. Very helpful and friendly staff. . Not luxurious but reasonable prices.Just around the corner a grocer store where you get everything. Excellent location only few meters from Victoria station; Buckingham Palace, Westminster, etc. is near by. Not luxurious but we would stay there again for aLondon trip.

Your web dosen't specify that was shared bathroom. Rooms are big, but without nothing, no closet, no table, no chairs...only bed & tv. The girl of the hotel was very "funny", she was ironing towels at breackfast room...

We booked a double en-suite room and found a shoes-box with a three-quarter bed and a small corner for luggage (no table, one chair, a bath with a basin similar to an ash-tray, good for a couple of dolls). Impossible for two persons, but it was very late. The following morning I asked resolutely (and obtained) a larger room. Three beds (too many) but no chairs or sofa, good bathroom. Breakfast is just continental. They require one pound for each luggage left after 2pm in the day of departure.

This is one of the better budget places I have stayed in about 4 trips to London. But finding a great place in London is extrememly hard, and Jubilee was not perfect. Our room was on the bottom (basement) floor, and the hallway smelled badly of cigarette smoke. We think it was because people went to a little courtyard right outside our room to smoke. The room had a double bed and five single beds; we were four women. The single bed I slept on was not a real bed mattress, I'm not sure what it was, but it was pretty hard. The double bed felt fairly normal, and I didn't test the others, but I think one other single in the room was similar to the one I slept on. The bathroom, especially the shower, was very small, and the shower curtain had mildew on it. The towels were clean, but the bed top blankets could have used a washing, and they should consider replacing the carpet with wooden or tile floors, or removing one of the beds as some seemed too close together to reach a vacuum in between them. Despite all that, the location, only a few blocks from Victoria coach and train station, was excellent, and the price--considering pounds are almost double US dollars--good for London. We didn't get to try the breakfast, because our travel connections were too early, but the staff recommended a great area for restaurants and opened the phone line in our room so we could make calls. They also let us use a converter and hairdryer, and the converters we brought didn't fit the outlets. I would probably return with a smaller group, to see if any of the smaller rooms were any nicer.

the location is great:2 minutes from Victoria Coach Station. personal was kind. The accomodation is basic: room are small and the bathroom too..but i think it is right for the price u pay.breakfast was really good:cereals, coffe, biscuits, juice, yogurt, milk.two minutes walk there is Victoria station with the undergound and market to buy food.(for dinner, on the second floor of the station u "eat as u can" with 5 Pound.:) if u want to vist London without too many demands it is the perfect location.

It is a bad option. The night´s receptionist don´t speak english, she didn´t wake me up three days, the TV didn´t work properly and the room is similar to a shoes box. The manager is really competitive and when I asked for a reimburse (I had paid in advance) he did it. You have better option than this one.

As long as you don't expect much then this is a good cheap option for a nights stay in London City Centre. The area was surprisingly quiet and we did manage to get a good nights sleep. Don't expect much of breakfast though!

This is a good value for the price paid. It is quiet and clean and safe. There are a lot of stairs (I was on the 4th floor) and the rooms are small, but for the price it was a great value. The bathroom was down two flights of stairs. I walked by myself to Victoria near midnight and felt safe. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was fine.

We stayed 6 nights during September, 2006. We slept in the narrowest twin beds we have ever come across - but the room was clean. Shared bathroom was OK. The English Breakfast never varied: one egg, cooked under a grill so it sort of exploded, one piece of tough bacon, one spoonful of beans, and three half-pieces of white toast, orange juice and coffee. We asked several times for whole wheat - but no. The Continental Breakfast consisted of one bowl of cornflakes and three half-pieces of white toast - no meat, no cheese, no fruit. There was a WiFi network, but the attendant on duty most of the time did not realize this, and could not help. We probably would not stay there again, though the neighbourhood was very convenient for a London stay.
