Although not a bad place, I don't want to give the impression that it is any more than basic accomodations, at basic prices. It is located in the suburbs, 30 minutes from the city on the Underground (10 minutes to Heathrow), the train is only a 10 minute walk from your door. The neighborhood is row after row of apartments; food and pubs are 10-15 minutes walking distance, but in cold weather, not conveneient. The room and en suite bathroom are spare, but clean and, if you just need a nights rest before catching a plane, or going into town, it is adequate. We did have to ring and knock several times to get someone to come to the door to admit us and there was a note on the door indicating that we might need to phone for admission--very inconvenient. We were also not able to reach anyone by phone the day before when we called to confirm our reservations (I never received an email) and get directions--our last hotel helped us map it and find the proper train; after departing the underground, we asked at a pub which direction we should walk and how far. Although there is a good lock on the room door, during the night I got up and went to the kitchen to find the back door to the place wide open, with cold air rushing in--no one around. You have to walk through the backyard to the adjoining apartment for breakfast (which is also basic--cereal & milk, tea/coffee, toast and fruit). Although the very young staff is friendly, you are very much on your own in this place--it is hostel-like. This being said, I would stay there again, but just overnight to go to Heathrow in the morning; it is cheap and functional, but not a destination.

I realise that this is a low budget option. The staff was welcoming and knowledgable. I was expecting a small hotel as opposed to a room in a shared house (more like a B&B). The bedding was clean but the room was a little grimy and the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. The shared bathroom was also quite messy and dirty.

Wished someone open the door for me when I knocked the door. I called them at the London Paddington Station, but it was in vain. I had to call again from outside just to open the door. I knew it happened, but it really happened.

An economical place to stay, convenient from Heathrow airport on way to center. It's Spartan but inexpensive. I would book there again.

No indication on the house, just the raodnumber. Welcome by a painter who did not know we were coming at all and who spoke no English. Service of breakfast by different persons 1x very good and lovely, 1x a little poor, 2x by owner who was rather busy with other things than her clients. Connection of electricity did not fit, an adaptor has been given after two days. The painter was working all the time and left the smell of products. The last night we were told that we can watch TV in a common room. The shower was not so clean. You can easely reach the connection to the underground.

The landlady was very kind and friendly. A room was smaller, but quiet and clean. Connection from the centre to Brentford is good.

It is located in a residential neighborhood not very close to a tube station or shops and restaurants. The big problem is that nobody lives there except for the guests and two dogs, one of which growled menacingly on our arrival. Somebody is supposed to show up to check in guests and to prepare breakfast. Breakfast is supposed to be at 8, but one morning no one arrived until after 8:45. I think the dogs were wondering what was going on as well. One day, they didn't clean our room because the person responsible didn't have a key for our room. They could have left some clean towels by the door, but didn't. The management is only reachable by phone from inside the building. When we first arrived at about 1:30 in the afternoon, no one was there and we didn't have a workable cell phone. So, we had to stand around in front of the building for almost 30 minutes until a neighbor came home and we were able to use their cell phone. They wished us good luck. Not recommended!

Nearby you will find the Boston Manor Park. You may cross the street and enter there. It's nice to take the way trough this park to the Metro station Boston Manor
