Bed and Breakfast Al Duomo - Lecce

Very nice place in the main street of Lecce. So at night it is very busy and a little noisy, but on the other hand you´re at a perfect location if you arrive by train/bus (you can’t go there by car).

Ottima posizione nel centro della città. Bello l'arredamento moderno e buoni i servizi (tv, aria condizionata). La prima colazione non è servita ma presente in loco (gli appartamenti hanno la cucina dotata di caffè, latte, miele, marmellata, etc...). Rumoroso di notte: 1 appartamento affaccia sulla 'movida', l'altro su un ristorante/pizzeria che d'estate lavora fino a tardi.

Right in the middle of Lecce. In walking distance to all the sights of the town. A little noisy at night due to young people having an urge for singing and shouting in the streets.

We loved our stay at Al Duomo, and thought it offered very good value for the money. It is very centrally located right in the heart of the historic center of Lecce where traffic is severely restricted so if you come in a car, park it and walk to the apartment to get the keys and and a parking pass. The owner Giovanni Bruno could not have been more welcoming and gave us excellent suggestions for local restaurants and wines. We would definitely return.

A very large apartment with spacious rooms. Aside from a slightly primitive shower (the shower head does not detach) this was an excellent stay in quite simply the best location in the city - step out of the front door and you are right in the middle. However the sound of church bells can be rather noisy, and the pizzeria kitchen (well worth a meal at) below can be a bit noisy in the day with the employees shouting. Neither is a serious issue, however. Note that the landlady, while very friendly and welcoming, does not speak a word of English. This can make it a bit harder to communicate - and we were not offered the free shuttle ride to the station when we left, though it is an easy walk anyway. The biggest problem with this place is that it would be almost impossible to find unless you knew exactly what it looked like: there is no sign on the door to indicate it is a lodging. Ringing ahead will not work well unless you speak Italian. It may be worth it to get a shuttle from the airport and have the driver phone, as we did. The kitchen is useful, though supermarkets are far and few between.

We stayed for 5 nights in the larger of the two apartments. It is situated on the main road of the old town which is very busy at nights, it's pedestrianised and the passegiata goes on till about midnight, but we were at the rear so it was very quiet. The other apartment may face the front, don't know. It was probably the best place we have ever stayed and was absolutely beautiful and, for once, actually looks like the pictures. We had a large living room, one large bedroom and there is a smaller lobby which can double as a bedroom. There is a well equipped, efficient kitchen and a bathroom and shower room. There is a market about 5 minutes away just outside the walls which sells pretty well all that you need. The owner is a very nice guy, friendly and helpful if you need it. He was away when we arrived but we were met and welcomed and given lots of bottles of water which we badly needed at the time. You don't really get breakfast but you do get a supply of coffee, tea and milk and biscuits and jam to get you started, you can just pick up what you want locally. It's right at the centre of the old town, two minutes from the Duomo and handy for restaurants and all the main sites. We will definitely stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Ottima locazione. pieno centro,parcheggio gratuito vicinissimo all'appartamento e card gratuita per circolare nel centro storico con l'auto.accoglienza e gentilezza sopra ogni aspettativa.Vi consigliamo sicuramente di alloggiare qui. grazie di tutto!!!

Beautiful apartment in excellent location. There was not a breakfast offered (unless you count one 150g package of cookies for two people) and there was not a free shuttle to the central station. Fortunately, you can reach the central station in 10 minutes walking.

Our host was wonderful. The B & B is situated perfectly in Lecce. Your host is helpful and personable. Everything is clean and tidy, including a small kitchen. Well work the cost. My wife and I would return.
