It wasn't what I was expecting but it was nice and cosy. I travelled with my wife so she was okay with it and relaxed alittle.

B&B is located in the upper part of an apartment building in an shoe makers quarter. Look out for the house no.36 and you'll find it. Staff is very friendly and competent, and the rooms are clean and spacey - very good for the price! From Mo.-Fr. you'll hear shoe makers sounds from ~8 to 22:30h, thereafter the rooms are very quite and you can sleep well. We had bad luck one night where a pack of customers yelled up and down the staircase till 4 am, and our rooms' door was thin. Still, we warmly recommend this place as it is excellently located in walking distance to all important places!

We were travelling with my son for a brief holiday in Turkey. We stayed in a twin room for 6 nights. It was excellently located place (considering value for money) and quiet room. The Manager of the hotel was very friendly and truly kind man. The staff of the hotel was also efficient and well-trained. Overall, I could strongly recommned this place for budget travellers.

The room was clean spacious with good facilities. I think it is good value for money! However, there was no sign and/ or any other indication outside the B&B in order to find it easily.

The B&B had a good location, walking distance to the main tourist sites. The owner of the B&B was very polite, friendly and helpful, suggesting nice places to eat and visit off the tourist track. Price equivalent to the room quality. The rooms are located in a busy shoe-making area so during the day you can hear all the street and staircase sounds, which are not a problem as usually that is the time when you are sightseeing. Meanwhile nights are quiet and calm, with no disturbing outside noises. This is a perfect option for those who look for a well located friendly priced basic place near the main sights in Istanbul. Friendliness of the staff makes you feel very welcome.

Nice hotel for its reasonable price. Lots of thanks to Aziz, the hotel master, for everything. Surrounded by shoe factories, but the district is safe and quiet at night. Very close to transport and to the main square.

We spent a great time at this hotel. It is very well located in Sultanahmet area - you can actually see the towers of the Blue Mosque from the upstairs terrace. The area is quite busy 24/6, with shops everywhere - it/s shoe quarter there, and lots of options for eating. Unfortunately the rooms are not very quiet, you can hear all kinds of noises from the street and the inside of the hotel and the staff, although very pleasant and helpful has very poor command of English. Beware, Turkish people have very, extremely poor command of English. Also, Internet doea not work properly in the rooms, but you can always use the upstairs lounge/breakfast room for free, good Internet. The rooms have good AC, which actually works and keeps the room chilly all night long. And the Airport transfer shuttle they provide is very punctual and reliable. You may find cheaper options at other agencies, but they operate on a fixed timetable. Whereas, the Metin Han airport shuttle is at your services, according to your flying schedule. we highly recommend it and we will certainly come back there!

The room was excellent, breakfast was adequate the proximity to major sites in the old part of town great. The street access is weird but wonderful. The manager met the shuttle out on the street and carried our bags to the street door then up 2 flights of stairs to our room. There is no reception area, but don't let this put you off unless you want/need expensive surroundings. This hotel provided very good accommodation without expensive extras.

The Room and cost was everything we were promised. I would prefer to describe it as a Pansayon (Turkish Pension) as there is no Reception area or public rooms. The immediate surroundings is a shoe makers Street, but all the Major sites are easy walking, including the Metro Station. The owner was friendly and helpful. He procured tickets for Entrance Fees or Tours at discounted prices that meant you did not have to stand in any queue. Recommendation, a budget stay in a 4 star room.

If you have a small budget, this hotel is for you. But you have to accept bad surroundings,a low quality breakfast( nescafé...)and don't trust the advice of visits and cruise on the Bosphore from the staff. Nevertheless, it's very close to the main monuments and tramway.

Most important point is the hotel is just afew minutes a way by walk from the tram station and grand bazaar already jus behind the tram station. We went most of the places by walk. Rooms design is very good. Bathrooms is so large and daily cleaning is perfect. BReakfast simple but ok if we compare price and hotel this hotel is perfect. The staff is very helpfull they are always redy for help.

Very friendly and helpful staff, but no electricity during a long time which resulted in no hot water. (not the fault of the hotel but the city). For the price it is a very good choice and with very friendly staff who took us to the city to show us a good cafe for water pipes. I would recommend the hotel for people on low budget and informal settings. Very good!

We stayed at Metin Han for 5 days (29 Oct - 3 Nov) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are sparkling clean and the services provided were impeccable. Despite the understated entrance of the hotel, the interiors of the hotel were well renovated and furnished. The hotel host, Zeki, made us feel welcomed and immediately introduced us to Istanbul. His humility and hospitality to us was very much appreciated. Location of the hotel is central and easily accessible to all touristic places like the Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, etc. It is also located nearby a tram station and this made it accessible to other parts of Istanbul like Taksim Square and Spize Bazaar. In all, we highly recommend this hotel and will definitely head back there if we visit Istanbul again.

The location of Metin Han was sandwiched between many shoe shops and our first thoughts were not too good; however, once in to the hotel we were made very welcome by all the staff and they made the whole stay excellant. The atmosphere was basic but homely and we became good friends with the staff. It was our son's birthday whilst staying there and they took the trouble to go out and buy a cake for him. We would definately stay there again.
