We stayed in Istanbul for 3 days. The Antique hotel is a very good offer counting the relationship between price/quality. The best thing is that the hotel is very close (within walking distance from) the most important sights.

Run down, very small room where they cramped in two beds. The plaster was falling off the bathroom walls. The shabbiest but most expensive room during our three week trip to Turkey. The hotel has rooms with a better price/quality ratio. Ask for the size of the room (sqm) before you book!

Rooms are very small, but the attention and friendlyness of the staff more than makes up for that.

We find the hotel very good for that price. It was central and quiet. It was a perfect start of the day to eat breakfast at the wonderful roofterrace. Mustafa at the reseption was very helpful!

Mattress felt like it was made from the same material as a car wash sponge. Bathroom had mould in grouting and room smelt of cigarette smoke on arrival. Zero sound insulation between the hall, which meant we were woken up by both late arrivals and early leavers from 5am in the morning. Did not feel this hotel offers value for money - accomodation is closer to hostel standard.

Our stay at Antique was the best decision. There are probably more comfortable, more luxurious hotels, but regarding the price and the friendlyness of the staff, it was unbeatable. Although we arrived at 9 in the morning (check-in is at 12) we were immediately offered a breakfast and could enter the room already at 10. Everything was very clean (we ignored two or three tiny ants) and the rooms were sufficiently spacious. But despite the excellent price/quality-ratio, the staff is the really outstanding feature of the hotel: We could ask for help or advice at any time of the day (reminder: it was ramadan) and we were always helped as good as possible. Especially asking about non-touristic places to go was unbeatable. And by the way: forget that Lonely Planet Traveller Guide - many things have either double the price as mentioned or did not even exist anymore. The better oppurtunity: ASK MUSTAFA OR ANNUS (staff). Thanks guys - it was a great stay.

Friendly and pleasant staff. Lovely breakfast terrace overlooking the Bosphorous. Our first room was a little cramped, our second room much more spacious.

we received a warm welcome from Mustafa (despite arriving in the small hours), he was very friendly and helpful - also funny. He arranged our transfers from and to the airport which we really appreciated. The room was not particularly large but it was fine for the two of us and very clean. We would definitely come back and stay here again.

The Hotel is located in a good position, near big Moschees and 7/8 min far from Tram stop. My room was very clean but very small. Bed was confortable. Personnel is very very very nice and helpful. Mustapha is great !! There's also free WiFi connection. I would return to this hotel.

For our first stay in the beautiful city of Istanbul, we were very happy with our experience at the Antique Hotel. We stayed at the second building of the hotel (which is only 50m from the main one). Rooms are pretty small but very clean. Good turkish breakfast included. Mustapha, very sympathetic host, took care of everything. The location in Sultanahmet is very convenient for visiting the city : 7 minutes walking from the Blue Mosq, Agia Sophia and the Sultanahmet tramway stop, 15 minutes from Topkapi. The neighborhood is safe but not the best for night life... but with public transportation, reaching Taksim only takes 20/30min. We really enjoyed our stay there !

This is a guesthouse... Rooms are small, public areas very narrow, breakfast not as convenient as in most of budget hotels... If you consider everything, it is (too) expensive.

Hotel Antique has an annexe. The first building is the one illustrated in the advert, but the website actually books you into the annexe, which is not nearly so picturesque. However once you get over the initial surprise, you will find that the hotel offers excellent value for money. Avoid Rooms 13 & 16 in the annexe, they really are a bit on the tight side. The public rooms are in the first building. The bar lobby and the rooftop dining terrace are both very pleasant. The only public area in the annexe is the entrance lobby. The real strength of the Hotels Antique are the two young men who run them. You would be hard pushed to find two more obliging and helpful hoteliers on the planet. We had the misfortune to have all our money stolen while at the festival on Sultanahmet Square, and both Mustafa and Anus (pronounced Ennis)really went the extra mile to assist us in our difficulties. The atmosphere in both buildings is friendly and relaxed, and annexe guests are warmly welcomed to use the main building's facilities. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked in for our return to Istanbul in the spring next year.
