Our hosts Paollo and Ada were friendly, attentive and provided assitance as requested. The room was comfortable and the outside living areas provided great spaces to relax, enjoy a glass of wine and to eat a meal. Montechari was the best value for money accommodation, we experineced in Italy.

The actual property was actually more beautiful than the photographs on the website! We had a wonderful time at Montechiari in Chianti with Paolo and Ada.

For a bed & breakfast 80 € seem to be not cheap. But the really communicative landlords gave their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The room was quite dark what is definetely an advantage in hot summer but is lacking enough daylight. The bathroom was very small but clean. Overall we were absolutely happy with the room and the overall location. BUT: The rates for the mini bar and internet access were even higher than in an upper class hotel and the breakfast offered was not worth its 5 € per person. Instant coffee and only one topping (home made marmalade) is not the kind of breakfast I'd expect on a italy vacation.

The Innkeepers were so friendly and helpful. The room and location was perfect. Postcard pictures from front and back. A very short walk from the beautiful town center of Greve in Chianti. The pictures online don't do it justice!

Very clean family run place. The owners are very kind and helpful. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the B&B to the main square. Would be a great place to spend a few nights if you have a car and want to tour wine country. There was a kitchen attached to our room that we could use for a fee. This is a classic B&B- highly recommended. Private parking is available. The location is close enough to the bus stop that a car is not absolutely necessary.

It was our 2nd visit to Greve in Chianti and we stayed for only 1 night. The rooms are clean, quite and typically Italian decorated. The terrasse with view of the great Tuscan landscape is perfect. The couple who runs the B&B are so lovelly and attentivly. We were served a lovelly breakfast with great coffee and homemade cake. The B&B itself is easy to reach by car, it is situated only a view steps from the center but absolutly quite and peaceful. I can recommend it without limitation and next time we come to Greve we will stay there for sure again.

We had a lovely one night stay at Montechiari. They have two rooms, there and we stayed on the bottom floor. The room was very spacious, with its own bathroom. There was a fridge(!), electric kettle, tea, instant coffee and all of the accouterments right there in the room! Ada welcomed us and although she does not really speak english, she did a very good job making us understand when breakfast was, where everything was, how the keys worked, etc. In addition to the bed, there is also a large wardrobe, a small TV, a large arm chair, a desk and a couple of other chairs. We felt it easy to relax in the room. There was also a great backyard patio area with a magnificent view of the valley. This is where breakfast was served, by Ada's husband Palo. We were served juice, toast, coffee, fresh made cake, and yogurt. Things to note are that it is on the top of a pretty steep hill if you are walking from Greve, and is probably a 10 minute walk to the town square. They do not accept credit cards. The bathroom, and especially the shower were incredibly small, and the towels were a little aged. Aside from that we had an excellent stay here.
