Marica Bed & Breakfast - Foz do Iguaçú

Marica Bed and Breakfast is a lovely, well cared for property. Arriving on New Year's Eve, Maria, the owner, generously provided a bottle of champagne for me and my family. The breakfast provided was the best we had in all Brazil. Since we did not have a car, Maria was very helpful providing information about the town and the falls of Iguacu. She made numerous phone calls for us, even going so far as to make a late night call to secure an airport taxi for us. In hindsight, My family of 5 and I should have rented a car for our 3 night stay; nevertheless, we wholeheartedly recommend this bed and breakfast.

Maria is an excellent hostess. Homemade breakfasts are special everyday with surprises to delight. We came to brasil to see iguazu falls and Maria assisted with our tours and we found the value for money was excellent. We had lost our luggage from Sao paulo which was very distressing and we are not sure how we could have managed without the assistance of Maria in achieving return of bags prior to departure, hence making our trip end well. As bed and breakfast operators ourselves, I found this stay everything we could have hoped for from reading reviews. We felt like we were home away from home which is so wonderful in a foreign speaking country. . We recommend 3 days stay and a must to see both brasil and Argentina falls.

Stayed here just two nights, and made the most of my time thanks to Maria who helped me and two other guests with our plans for visiting both sides of the Falls. Beautifully decorated, clean bedroom (Romantique) complete with balcony, very generous and tasty breakfast. Top recommendation for travellers to the Falls wanting to make the most of their time and money.

We stayed in the Romantic Room and were totally happy there. Maria is a great host, very friendly and welcoming.

WE would definitely recommend Maria's B&B. It is a wonderful place to stay after a busy days sightseeing. Although it is in a quiet residential area, the bus service is excellent. Maria is very friendly helfpul host.

Marica is a wonderful host: very friendly and reliable. We discovered on the plane to Iguazu that visiting the Itaipu Dam would also be very interesting, but we had planned no time for this in our schedule. Upon asking her on the phone one day before, Marica organised for us a taxi to go there and booked the visit at Itaipu for us. The taxi brought us there in the morning and then drove us to the Brazilian falls and finally to the airport. All of that in a short day (we were leaving at 5 pm). Thank you very much Marica for that, it was highly appreciated!

We enjoyed breakfast and hotel was well cleaned and beautiful. If they have some amenity goods, it might be much better.

A beautiful house very comfortable a good location the breakfast is superb the bus stop is easy to find to go down town and also for the Iguassu Falls my highest recommendation it is home from home.

This place is a really recommende place to stay. Maria, the owner of the Bed & Breakfast, she is really friendly and helpfull. She was really one of the reasonse that we had a perfect stay at Foz du Iguaçu. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is really nice. Futhermore, there is a small swimming pool which is really refreshing after you walked around at the iguaçu falls!

The three days that we stayed at Maria's "Marica" were among the most pleasant of our trip. Her house is beautiful: clean, comfortable and orderly, yet Maria has also added lovely and creative touches--orchids in the garden, a delicious avocado "milkshake" among other good things on the breakfast buffet. In general, B and B clientele is usually a more interesting and adventurous lot than a hotel clientele, and we enjoyed meeting the variety of nice (very considerate) people who stayed, as well. Thank you, Maria, for the relaxed, friendly atmosphere and your ready help whenever we needed it. This was one of our first B and B experiences. We are very likely to do it this way again next time. (The map on the back of the card needs revision! That's the reason for the 8 in that category)

A very helpful guest in this B&B instead of the fact that I arrived at 2:00 am, she was waiting for me in night gown...

Good Points: Marica is lovely and helped us with everything. Breakfast was good. And Marica recommended a really superb restaurant for dinner. We were disapointed (but maybe our fault) in that we booked the 'Lavendar Room' and thought we had booked a room with private facilities, but found we were sharing a bathroom. The area was a residential one, but not within walking distance of anything.

Maria was an exellent host, helped us with information, etc. Our stay was enjoyable.

We felt very much at home. Maria is the perfect hostess. Her home-made jams are excellent! We also loved the decorations of the room and the romantic balcony.

I really recommend Marica B&B. Quite simple but exceed expectations. Hostess is very gentle and you can count on her attention all the time. Breakfast is fantastic. Installations very clean, aired and linen very clean. You feel like home!

That's really gorgeous and no one remains indifferent to the warm hospitality of landlady, Maria!!!I'm happy to make the acquaintance of Maria and had a perfect stay at Marica's. Advise everybody the super comfort for such little amount of money.

We were travelling with our friends from Switzerland and we had a very nice stay at the B&B. Marica was very helpful, when we asked where to eat, how to get somewhere etc. The only thing we think would be nice is when there is a possibility to lay or sit close to the pool (there were no seats). But the rest was perfect.

I stayed at Marcia B & B for three days in September 2010 and was totally happy with my choice. Maria is warm and helpful and speaks english, italian and spanish as well as portuguese. I stayed in the Romance room with its own bathroom and slept well each night. It is close to a shopping center with excellent shops and food that you can eat there or take back to Maria's house. Maria organised all my tours as well and you really do need to see the falls from both sides and make sure you do the bird park on the way to the catracts on the Brazilian side as well. I spent three hour there!!! Maria makes the best coffee that I have had in three weeks in Brazil and the wireless internet works in the bedroom as well as everywhere in the house which is relly convenient. I would definately stay there again if I return to Foz Do Iguacu!!!

Had a lovely time at Marica Bed & Breakfast. We were looked after very well by Maria in her lovely modern and beautifully decorated home. Breakfasts were excellent and very generous, including home-made Brazilian treats! Rooms were a good size and beds very good - the romantic suite is well worth the upgrade, if it's available! Foz do Iguassu has a lot to offer and Maria was very helpful in recommending restaurants and shows, and making reservations and arranging taxis - made our stay very easy and enjoyable! There's a large shopping mall including a supermarket within walking distance but you'll probably want to take a taxi or bus to the central areas of Foz - there's a bus stop a few minutes walk from Marica B&B and the buses proved very regular. Definitely recommend Marica B&B and would choose this B&B again.

A charming B&B on the edge of Foz d'Iguaçu Marica offers an unbeatable price/quality ratio. She was very helpful in order to plan our activities during our stay. I would recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quite place to stay.
