All in all i´d recommend this B&B to everybody who wants to live in the heart of Firenze. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms have a charming flair. We stayed in the Pink Room for 3 nights. You can hardly hear noises from outside as there is a quiet little street outside and the red roofs of the typical houses. The first night we had problems to sleep, though, as there are people living upstairs with a little child, that was very noisy. It seems like the ceilings are badly insolated as you can hear everything from above. The staff was very helpful in that case, they talked to the people and it was quiet for the rest of our stay. Also concerning bookings of museums they did a great job. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom but no shampoos or shower gel so make sure you bring your own. Breakfast is not included but there are plenty of nice opportunities just close by.

This was the highlight of our trip. This is a beautiful hotel, right on Piazza della Signoria, but believe it or not, it was quiet! There could not have been a more ideal location to stay. The hotel staff were welcoming, warm, friendly, and helpful. They spoke to us in Italian and in English and were always cheerful. The hotel has a beautiful shared space with computer, printer, seating, and lots of local information. Be sure to try Yellow Bar on Via del Proconsolo. recommended by the hotel staff, the restaurant has delicious, delicate hand-made pasta of all kinds. I can't wait to stay here again.

Location -best you can get.An easy walk to all to the tourist hot spots .Cleanliness, very good.Having stayed in many 4&5 star places that have mold in bathroom areas it was great to have both a bath and shower area free from it.Staff very friendly and helpfull. Down sides-Very few -Around 12 stairs to the lift that takes you to the floor that has your accommodation on it but is such a small price to pay for the ultimate location. My husband's 62 & I'm a young 49 yr old and found them no problem. Only local tv to speak of but no great loss. And the limited room service is really no problem as all sorts of food and wine are at the front door. Would definately recommend this place and can't wait to go back and stay with them again . 30 mteres away are markets that offer the best value leather bags and jackets around. Don't be afraid to make an offer and play the game !Love Florence and now my husband does too.

The only bad thing that I can say is that in the Web site, it is told that there is an elevator... it is the truth, but you have to grow at least 25 steps to join this elevator, with your luggages, of course. All the rest is perfect.

The hotel is located just around the corner from the amputheater and the main street. It was clean and quiet, single room is a bit small but manageable. Breakfast is not included and very expensive it you take it. There are a lot of cafe bars just steps from the hotel, best to go there if you want breakfast.

Great Location!! The initial stairs would be a bit daunting to an older treveller but that was my only complaint. We had a wonderful stay.

Recommend coffee in morning or at least access to a coffee maker to get the day started. Otherwise, good stay in a great location at a reasonable price.

We stayed here based on a 'recommended' highlight from FODORS guide for Italy. The room was very large with a spotless bathroom and fantastic views of the piazza. It is easy access by foot to EVERYTHING you want to see. There is no room service at all and no attendant period after 1:00 PM so it is highly recommended that you check in prior to that. There is a steep flight of stairs upto the tiny elevator and then a ride up the tower. The place is quirky, the owner and his limited staff charming and I would recommend this place if you want something unusual and don't need service. Do not bring tons of luggage. Bring friends and family because all the room spill into a common living area. We had the best room - the 'gold room' which is the room with a view. Upgrades needed - tiny TV that did not work to catch up on news. The bed could use more pillows and a duvet rather than the low quality blanket. The linen was not upto par. No access to tea/coffee although that is minor since there are excellent cafes all over the piazza for that. NOT RECOMMENDED for anyone who is not relatively fit to deal with the steps and luggage. I WOULD stay here again despite the lack of comforts for a 4* primarily because of the location and the unhotel like qualities. Quite charming!!

The locaction of this hotel can not be beaten! It is close to all the major attractions, restaurants and bars. The hotel staff were warm and friendly and were more than happy the help. We stayed in hte ivory suite which had everything we needed, including a fridge in the bedroom! I look forward to staying here on my next trip to Florence.

Location location location - you can't beat Antica Torre. On the main piazza (Piazza della Signioria) in Florence, just next to Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi, this was an incredible find. Very friendly and helpful staff, a massive, massive room with an equally massive bathroom, keys to get in and out on our own at all hours of the night, this was one of the best places I've stayed in Florence (in over 15 trips)! Simply fantastic - wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or to stay there again. Be warned, however, that even if you put out the "Do Not Disturb" sign they're likely to knock on the door anyway to see if you need anything. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about the surroundings and can make some great recommendations. If you're considering, consider no further - stay here.

It was wonderful to be able to step out of the building and be on the Piazza dei Segnori. The central location also made going out in the evening really easy, as we knew that we didn't have to walk a long way back to the room. Oh, and did I mention that the room was wonderful too?

I want to suggest to venere and this family as a client that you have visitors pre-pay their stay as nonrefundable. The family has obviously had bad experiences, folks staying and then leaving them holding the bag. Those bad experiences carry over to current guests. The family was nervous about whether or not I was good for the balance due. They also kept my passport for the entire week I was there. Other hotels check your passport for ID and security, but this practice of holding the passport until payment is made is unnecessary. Please consider renogtiating the way this client does business with those of us who are indeed honest.

Wow, what a location! What better way to beat the heat and hoards of people than to retreat to your room off the Piazza de Signoria. These apartments have to be Florence's best kept secret. We were there for a wedding with loads of people from all over the world converging. We were the only ones staying here and every single person was green with envy at our location and room. Highly recommended. Very helpful and lovely staff too.

Our overall experience was fantastic, one night in a very special place, the location is onto one of the main squares in Florence, and the street entertainment and atmosphere was unforgetable. We booked a superior room which was very nice, but it was a little dissapointing that we had no view of the square. Advance warning of this and the cost of car parking would have been appreciated.

We came to Florence to celebrate my girlfriends 40th birthday and we had a fantastic time here. Pamela and Fabiana were brilliant, they helped us book opera tickets prior to our arrival and then when the opera was unfortunately cancelled due to rain, they helped us to get a refund on our tickets. We stayed in the Pink room and it was just beautifull. We would highly reccommend this hotel and will definitely be returning. The hotel is in a perfect location to explore Florence.

The late night and early morning noise from the piazza below is reasonable, given this suite's fabulous location. It is part of the festive ambiance, so bring earplugs. The local family ownership and management of the Soggiorno Antica Torre property is evident by the outstanding care and assistance given by Pamela and her staff. This is the best quality lodging in Florence. Thank you Pamela, you provided us with a wonderful visit.

Very disappointing. Had agganged to come on my husbands birthday and was told that for 60euros they would decorate the bedding in lace, provide champagne and fresh fruit for his special day. It did not happen. No mention of even a Happy Birthday from the staff who incidently did NOT speak English. No air conditioning on first night. We were told to open the windows. And got bitten up by mosquitoes.

Ottimo veramente.

We stayed here last year and my brother stayed here this year. An excellent choose due to both location (right on Piazza della Signoria) and rooms. In addition, Pamela and her dog Bilbo make you feel at home. I would recommend Soggiorno Antica Torre to anyone.

If you want to be right on the Piazza Della Signoria, this is the place to be. We stayed in the gold room, which is the largest and overlooks the Piazza and the Palazzo Vecchio. The other rooms are a bit smaller, located in back and do not have any view. For the first two nights, we were the only ones in residence as this is a slow time of year which we loved. The room and bathroom are spacious and nicely decorated. Bathrooms are all new with the best ammenities. On the down side, we had to fend for ourselves at breakfast time.WE recommend you leave the piazza environs or you will pay a great deal for a cappucino or an orangejuice. Also, I imagine in the spring and summer it can be quite noisy in the piazza below. We were treated to drunken revelers on more than one night until the late hours, but thanks to the sheer magic and wonder of Florence, we didn't mind and were exhausted enough from our days explorations to sleep on through the students carrying on in the piazza below. An ideal locale to explore the historic district and really get a feel for Florence. Staff were all very helpful with excellent English and answered email questions in a timely manner. Note: There is a one flight walk up before the lift that takes you up to the pensione

Nice place in good location. Staff very helpful. Good size room (Pink Room) by Italian standards. On 3rd floor of building - elevator from 1st floor up but you have to climb the stairs from ground floor first. Breakfast was a cup of coffee and defrosted croissant in your room - slightly shocked to find it was extra cost at check out - 12 euros for 2 persons for 2 days - much better to pass on the breakfast and go outside to a cafe for value for money and atmosphere.

I was somewhat dismayed to find that the price quoted on your site was virtually doubled on my reservation confirmation. This hotel was definitely double the price of my other 2 reservations in Rome and Bologna. In Rome all I needed was provided but not quite so central or modern. In Bologna I had at least if not better service for half the price except not so central to attractions. Similar distance from arrival train terminal however.

Location excellent, staff very friendly and extremely helpful. One long flight of stairs before elevator and no one to help with luggage. Gold room has a view. Pink, one stayed in, is light and quiet. Ditto on Red and Green, but no view from any. Ivory & Blue open on inner court yards with back of restaurants on ground floor. Will stay here again.
