What a great place to stay! Easy access to Florence via walking. As this is located within the city of Florence the room is not quiet. The hostess was so welcoming!

When we arrived we were greeted by the maid. Her english was not good so we were surprised, thinking she was Alessandra and expecting someone who spoke english well. The next morning we met Alessandra and she fully met our expectations. She was friendly and conversational and very willing to help us understand the bus schedules and book a bike tour of the Tuscan countryside. The accomodations were great considering the price.

Alessandra is doing a great job, thanks for this nice stay ! Some details: The room was clean and spacious; the bathroom small but sufficient; I did not really like the breakfast (instant coffee...); there is a bus stop right in front of the entrance the b&b is very near to the center

The room was facing the street. Other rooms looked to be facing a courtyard, and are probably more quiet.

Nice mid-priced B&B. It can be a bit noisy, with doors opening and closing, heels on the floors, etc, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. It's well located and Alessandra is terrific.

Location was good, but noisy. Entryway a bit disconcerting -- danky, musty, but rooms were nicer. Hellish trying to drive there -- don't! Parking additional $15 euros per night and not mentioned -- also, not that close, about 5-6 blocks away. Staff was nice.

Good location. Clean room, good shower and lots of hot water. There is no lift. Advance booking for the Uffizi Gallery was done for us. The room had a darkening blind which was nice. The only real issue with us was the double bed was 2 singles pushed together. This was very uncomfortable and the mattresses were lumpy, which resulted with both of us having sore backs. Our room had it's own bathroom but I noticed the next room's bathroom was actually across the hall from the bedroom (something to consider if you have to get up during the night).

I expected the breakfast to be prepared by the owner at bed and breakfast. However, the breakfast meal was already in the room, which were commercial wrapped bread and cookies. When we entered the building, there was some starnge odor and dust. The main room area was better but it was a little bit shock at first.

Only the quitness is to criticize, if you have a room to the front street

Excellent location. Very spacious and clean. A 6-7 euro cab from the train station, but one could easily walk to all areas of interest from the B&B. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Florence!

Very clean and large room. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Traffic on street below was very loud and noisy. Easy walking distance to everything. Would stay there again.

Soggiorno Alessandra is a really great place to stay! The owners are very friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean and each room had a private bathroom. If people complain about this soggiorno then their expectations were just incredibly too high. Our group reserved three rooms. We asked for one to be a really quiet room and it was. The single room was quiet too. The double room at the front of the building was as quiet as it could be with heavily-glazed windows and nice heavy curtains. We were not disappointed! Tourists have to understand that Italy is very busy at all hours so there is constant traffic on just about every road! We were very happy with our choice to stay at this soggiorno. There was a hot water kettle in each room along with teabags, instant coffee, china cups and plates, spoons, napkins, biscuits, melba toasts and sweet croissants for breakfast each day. This I thought was fantastic! There was an ample supply of towels, blankets and pillows too. Very nice. The only thing I would say is to get a good map to this place before you go but once you get there, you are given keys for anytime access and you are only a few minutes walk from the major Ponte Vecchio area. A great deal for a great room!

My wife and I stayed in this very pleasant apartment for 3 nights and it lived up to our expectations. It was a budget trip for us, within reason, and we felt this apartment was good value especially with a fridge. Its about a 15 minute walk from the main train station. Alessandro was very helpful on our arrival, making a booking for us at Gallerie Academia and Uffizi. Without her knowledge and helpfulness we would not have been able to visit these places as they are booked out 3-4 days in advance. Location is terrific being a short stroll from the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi away from the tourist crowds. We had a top restaurant a few doors down, however there are plenty of pleasant eating houses within easy walking distance. I would say this is a great find, although if you are looking for plush white towels forget it. The only negative would be that the towels were a little paper thin!

A really warm welcome and good basic accomodation. Location excellent, just out of the centre and quiet but within easy walking distance of all attractions . Very good restaurants close by. Tea and coffee available in the room but you do need to go out to a nearby cafe for a decent breakfast. Would definately stay again.

Soggiorno Alessandra proved to be a comfortable base for our stay in Florence. It is situated centrally and there are several great and cheap restaurants nearby. Everything worked fine in the room, although the bathroom was minute. Alessandra was very friendly and helpful and it was more like staying in a private apartment. We would certainly stay there again.

This was a great place to stay. A large clean room with coffee and croissants in the room each morning. I'd stay again but ask for a room on the back side instead of the front where it was pretty noisy.

Alessandra (who waiting for us to arrive, despite our delayed train) was gracious and informative. Her staff was helpful, making sure we had everything that we needed. The location is fabulous - just out of the tourist zone, but very close for walking. If in Florence, we won't hesitate to stay here again.

Alessandra is a very nice person and she welcomed us even before getting to her home, by e-mail. We enjoyed our stay very much, the room was very clean, spacious and quiet, the bathroom the same. If we ever visit Firenze again, we will definitely use Alessandra's home again. Thanks.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was huge and nice, the location very good, a 10min walk to Ponte Veccio and lots of good restaurants close by (the Arno just a block away). Alessandra was very friendly and helpful (probably the nicest host we had on our trip). The breakfast could be a bit better but it was ok (I liked that we could heat water in the room and make our own tea or coffee) and we had a fridge so we could get a few extra things. I highly recommend this place (although it may not be best for someone who would mind the flight of stairs or a bit of walking).
