My husband and I (seniors) were there for five nights. The positive thing about this place was the location, which is convenient to walking or taking the bus to all the important sights in Florence. However, the 'full' breakfast was very poor and I saw that the open bowl of granola was left uncovered on the table overnight. The walls and doors are extremely thin, and we could clearly hear conversations in all the rooms on the second floor, and the loud voices of the staff in the common area just below us on the first floor every morning. We could hear the extremely loud buzz of the doorbell in our room at all hours. Our bathroom was in our room, but the shower was part of the extremely small bathroom and not separate, so everything in the bathroom was wet. Our view was scaffolding that was installed on our side of the building, and we were told that it had probably been there for years.Although our neighboring room had a cable box, we had only local TV and only Italian. The wifi only worked part of one day out of five. Our queen sized bed was very comfortable. The owner, Rita, was friendly and gregarious, but I would not stay at Ninna Nanna again.

Nina nanna is very cozy and comfortable B&B. We could choose the room with the balcony and with our own bathroom. We had some troubles with meeting the employees...but the owner of NinnaNanna Rita was very friendly and helpfull. Everything was very clean and we were very close to the station and most of the important monuments of Florence. For that price, we couldn't ask for anything better!!!

Nina nanna´s owner Rita is very friendly and kind, she made us fill at home, the B&B is very near from the interest places and the train station in Florence, the area is safe and the rooms comfortable with a nice view of an Italian garden.

Bed was good, location was ideal, there was a good sense of security, close to landramat. Easy walk from railway station. We had a balcony overlooking a garden. Very Italian. The proprietess was a real character, something to write about in your novel. There was a wireless internet connection, though not in the rooms. The central market and street market was blocks away. All in all you couldn't ask for much more for the price.

Our room was on the ground floor and seemed to have been made by partitioning the guest room or something with a sliding door. The sliding door itself was too heavy, slammed hard into the wall and could only be locked by pressed it forward while turning the key. It had another entrance, which opened, into the courtyard but we kept that door closed. We had 2 separate beds; my bed seemed to be a kid’s bed and was constantly creaking. The only other things in the room were a wardrobe and a TV. The shared bathroom was next to our room so we didn’t have any problems with it. There was no shortage of comforters or sheets (it started getting cold at night). We opted to exclude the breakfast and purchased our breakfast from nearby supermarkets but we came to know from another guy that the breakfast just was “find anything in the kitchen” and he said that the reservation said otherwise. The purchase indicated that we could get free tickets to some place but all it was a number which would allow you to bypass the queue. The B&B was near the shopping area and the railway station, so transportation was excellent. The owner was a nice homely lady; overall, it was okay for the price we paid.

Dear ladies and gentlemen! I do not recommend the NINNANANNA B&B to anybody!!! As a frequent traveller I am used to all different types of accomodation. I am not asking for any certain specification or luxury - not at all! A room could be simple but clean - and it should be worth the price. When I arrived, nobody opened the door. At least the cleaning woman, which almost did not speak English or even not Italian, opened the door. She did not know about my arrival. I tried to sort out that I booked my stay at this place. The furniture in the room were old and damaged. The room and the bed looked quite dirty. I still don't know if there were fleas is the bed or not. The bathroom was 1x1meter. Taking a shower everything got wet. The water did not work all the time. The towels stank. The neighbours were loud - even during nighttime. The price was not worth the stay (€90,- for 1 night/one person). I do not suggest this accomodation to anybody!!!

We arrived much earlier than planned and had to wait in order to get into the B&B (homeowner was not home). A helpful neighbor found a contact person who had an extra set of keys and got us into our room within about 30 minutes.

The accomodation at NinnaNanna was comfortable, although our private bathroom was quite small. Rita was very eager to please, and supplied a good, help yourself, breakfast. As all we required was a secure place to sleep each night we would be happy to stay there again if we again visited Florence.

Hostess engaged in loud domestic arguments at 10:30 pm. Property smelled of clorox upon arrival and of frying oil at 9:00 pm. Common areas unwelcoming, full of disorganized furniture and private belongings of the owner. Internet access not available as advertised.

We had a good time staying at Ninna Nonna. It was overall a good value. Rita was really nice, energetic, and welcoming. She even called our next B&B in Sorrento to help us out. The room we got was charming and clean, and so was our private bathroom. Except for the neighborhood cat (?) - or at least that's what we thought they were - the place was quiet at night and we had good rest each night we were there. If you want the experience of staying at an actual Italian home, with the benefits of B&B hospitality, I think Ninna Nonna is a good choice.

Rita was very helpful to us during our stay -- she made Uffizi reservations for us, called the car rental office to change our pick up time, drove us to the car rental on her way to aerobics class and even discounted our rate when another guest's extended stay meant we had to share a bath the first of our three nights. If you are on a budget and want a comfortable, clean accommodation in the center of Florence, this is the place to be.

Ninnananna is a centrally located penzioni located within easy walking distance of most key places in Florence such as the Academy, Duomo, San Marco, San Lorenzo churches and Ufizzi Gallery and close to restaurants. It is a cheerful, friendly and informal place to stay. I much enjoyed my stay here and highly recommend it for travellers.

Disappointing stay. We had booked a room with ensuite that was unavailable when we arrived. The room we had was clean but the shared bathroom was inconvienient, with plumbing not working properly making it a a little distasteful. The location was close to public transport and local attractions within walking distance. Breakfast was ordinary and not served till 8.30. A little late if wanting to get moving to see the sites.

If you require a budget room in Florence then this is a great place to stay. Almost in the centre this place has excellent access to all the tourist attractions Florence has to offer, and is easily walkable from the train station. We had a tidy spacious double room, with a large clean shared bathroom. If you simply want a place to sleep then this is an excellent place to choose.

I speak on behalf of my wife in reporting that we both found Nina Nona's to be affordable, clean, well presented, close to bus and train. Location is excellent for the experience of Florence sight seeing, shopping eating out, markets etc. Our host was very profesional, helpful and up to date with current events of interest to the tourist. Rita made us feel very comfortable, we wouldn't hesitate to strongly recommend Nina Nonna's to any person wishing to visit Florence.

The room didn't have any window except for the door to the balcony. The room felt damp. It's more like a house so I felt like I was intruding everytime I go there. Rita was very nice though.

Don't be put off by the entrance (locked door shared with private residences), the bell is at the bottom left-hand corner. Accommodation is homely, idosyncratic and informal, with a nice artistic feel to the place. There is a pleasant green courtyard oasis at the back of the guesthouse for sitting out. Excellent large shared bathroom. No air conditioning - though we stayed in May so this wasn't a problem. Owner extremely frendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bit ad hoc, and disposable plates and cutlery disappointing. Handy location, especially for rail station, which is within walking distance (10 mins). Good range of cafes, bars and resturants within 10 mins walk. Excellent value for money. Would stay again.

Very closed to everything, NinnaNanna deserves being known. It's better if you're alone or a couple without children. Inconvenience : you have to pash cash, no credit card accepted. For everything else, I have no regrets and I was happy for the time spent there. You have to try !

The pictures on the website cheat our eyes. The accomodation in Florence became a pity during the trip in this famous city. The management of the B&B is in a mass. You had to live with the family in the same house and use the same bathroom, it's a real good chance to experience a Italy family's daily life. BTW, you'd better prepare to be told that there is no room left for you even your reservation had been confirmed. In the two days we stay at this B&B, we saw two of such event.

It was not so easy to find this B&B, because we only took a note with the address of NinnaNanna and would have thought that there must be some symbol for it. But actually when we arrived at this street (by taxi from railway station), and found the number (there are two 37#, one is in red and another is in black),to our surprising, there is no hotel or any indication for NinnaNanna. To save time we at first visited a museum with our luggage. We came back later and fortunately met the host in front of this apartment. Then everything was ok, they are very friendly. For some reasons,we moved to another place with better equipment (bath-room,self-catering) at same price. The only problem was too hot since it is on the top, once open the window the traffic noise on the street will come in. So please bring the hotel contact information, i.e., telephone number, contact person.
