The B&B was fairly typical for a European city and the staff was quite nice. The only negative had to do with the rambunctious teenagers/young adults near Piazza Santa Croce that would party it up to 2 in the morning every night. I grew up in NYC so I am accustomed to the sounds of city life (taxi, police sirens, ambulance, etc.). I can't believe the local residents stand for that disturbance and don't have the police disperse the crowds after midnight. This really has a negative impact on the tourist business in the area. We couldn't get a good nights sleep even with the windows shut and earplugs.

The B&B location is excellent for visiting Florence city centre, but the street it overlooks is extremely noisy at night: very difficult to sleep! Very "simple" breakfast.

This hotel is exceptionally well situated in the centre. The only drawback is the noise from the street below the balcony. We didn't mind it at all but I can imagine someone could object. We didn't expect the rooms would be as spacious considered the hotel is near the centre. The staff was very nice and the landlady was very helpful. Highly recommended.

This was our favorite place of all that we stayed at. Breakfast included eggs, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt and homemade baked goods - we could smell them baking morning and afternoons! I arrived with a bad case of bronchitis, but it was late enough that all the doctors' offices were closed. The wonderful owner drove me to an after-hours clinic and back. The elevator gave a happy break from carrying luggage up stairs. The location is a quiet side street, but a large grocery store is only a few doors away, and it is only two blocks to lots of restaurants and everything else.

Strategically located; 5 minutes walk to the most important touristic places. Good bedrooms with a very spacious, clean and new bathrooms. Nice balcony with a nice view. Good breakfast with enough variety and quantity. The owner and the staff were very kind and dispose. It has a parking place although it is a very expensive for 24 hours. The hotel is a little bit difficult to find because it does not have a big sign on the building. And if you arrive with the car during the day, be aware of the restricted historical area. We hardly recommend this bed and breakfast. We enjoy our stay very much.

I really enjoyed my stay for a week in May. It was central and easy to get around with taxis and major bus lines near by. The room is spacious and has a great balcony.I recommend this place and would stay here again.

Sehr zentral gelegenes Hotel!

This was my fourth visit to Florence. I never had such a warm and well located room. The combination of elevator, garage, good breakfrast, wanderful views of the roofs of Florence from our room and good mood of the personal makes this experience unforgetable. I sincerely recommend A Teatro.

Great accomodation! Absolutely clean. Very good location, just a few minutes from the Duomo. Big rooms. Ilaria (the only staff) was very nice!!!The only problem was the noise because our room was located to the street.

Convenient location, but we were there on a Friday night and it was a bit noisey, even though we had a room in the back. Lovely balcony. Would definitely stay there again. Great little restaurant two doors down.

While this place was great in many respects, the street noise was so loud that it outweighed all the positive aspects.

Great location, huge rooms for Florence, very modern bathroom & great air conditioning which helped with the one drawback - noisy (only the single and one double are on the back). But I pulled shutters and turned fan on high with AC and it was fine. Great healthy breakfast - lots of choices. No phones in rooms so bring your own. Probably best for business and adult travelers. I think they would accept children but only one room that sleeps three so no real family rooms. Has elevator. Supermarket is a few doors away. Rooms cleaned daily and linens changed every other day. VERY CLEAN.

A Teatro is an excellent accomodation! It is clean, spacious, and breakfast service was quite good. But the problem which I had was that I had a room located to the street. The room itself was very nice! But at night the noisiness from the street was to loud for me. Thus I had some problems to get enough sleep. Therefore, I would evaluate the relationship between price and quality with a rating of 7 only. But I would also like to stress that I could imagine to revisit this accomodation. But then I would ask for a room located to the backyard.

The photographs on the website don't do A Teatro justice, it is much prettier! Lovely B&B: good central location, lovely rooms and wonderful cappochino's with your breakfast!

This was a lovely little place, more like a large apartment in layout. The bedroom was huge, with a balcony overlooking the street. Location wise, it was around 5-10 minutes walk from the Ponte Vecchio, ideal really. It was quite a lively area- we were just there for a saturday night. Would definitely recommend it.
