Because of the staff's friendly helpfulness, the great price, and the nice rooms: this was my favorite place to stay in Italy. You can't beat it for the price. Small downside was the location was not on the most convienient side of the train station, BUT it was totally worth a few extra steps to stay in such a nice, friendly, quiet place.

I've stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Staffs were kind and efficient - grazie, Gianni -, services were good. But, sound proof equipment desperately needed. Every shout, every conversation came directly to my ears..No complain at all except for that.

Directions (written) were BAD - it is much closer and easier to get to than the directions....Very close (5 minute walk) to train station - but away from the crowds! The proprietors were excellent - and very available to our needs.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and corteous. The breakfast was OK. The bathrooms are clean but the towels are very small. It is at 5 minutes walking from the Maria Novella train station and we could walk to almost anywhere in Firenze from the hotel. Ask the staff for best restaurants where to eat at night because most of restaurants in downtown Firenze are expensive and offer poor food quality.

It was good room was clean and people was good. The only thing that bad is beds. Bed was abit old and not comfortable. They need to change it I think.

The owner is very nice and helpfull. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated. The hall looks well kept. Daily cleaning, not the towels, but I wouldn't expect that in a B&B. The B&B is on a road where the cars drive quite fast. So if you have a room at the front you will hear cars and lorries all night long. We were able to change rooms to the back where it is much quieter. There are restaurants around and you are 10-15 mins. walking from the towncenter. The street may not be interesting but the neighbourhood did feel save. And less busy than around the trainstation.

there's a lot of traffic outside the bed and breakfast. Cars went fast and the noise was maddening especially during the night. The rest was ok: bed, staff, breakfast and location not far from the station. I suggest this structure to people who have no problem with noises while they sleep.

How to reach B&B Sogna Firenze

By car
From the A1 highway, Firenze Nord exit:
Follow the indications to Firenze centro that will lead you onto Viale Guidoni. At its end, on the right, you will find Via Forlanini. Drive along it until its end, then follow the roundabout and take Viale Redi on your left. At its end you will be on Viale Belfiore. Because of the one-way traffic, you will have to drive along Via Guido Monaco in front of you and, after a few metres, turn left onto Via Cittadella. Drive along it and you will be back on Viale Belfiore. Then turn left onto Via delle Porte Nuove. The B&B is at number 36-38.
From the A1 highway, Firenze Sud exit:
Drive along the highway junction, then turn left and proceed along the Arno river. Continue straight until the ring avenues, viali di circonvallazione, and then drive along Viale Amendola (Piazza Beccaria), Viale Gramsci (Piazza Donatello), Viale Matteotti (Piazza della Libertà) and Viale Lavagnini (Fortezza da Basso). Continue on your left and take Viale Strozzi which leads you under the railway bridge and then onto Viale Belfiore. After a few metres turn left onto Via delle Porte Nuove. The B&B is at number 36-38.

By train
From the Santa Maria Novella railway station take the exit on your right (with the railway tracks at your back) and walk down Via Alamanni. Cross Viale Fratelli Rosselli and continue straight on Via Guido Monaco until its end. Then turn right and you will be in Viale Belfiore. After a few metres turn left onto Via delle Porte Nuove. The B&B is at number 36-38.

By airplane
From the Firenze-Amerigo Vespucci airport you can take the Ataf or Sita shuttle bus service running every 30 minutes to the Santa Maria Novella railway station. Then follow the above indications.

Shuttle service is not included in the price and costs €15,00 to Santa Maria Novella railway station, and €20,00 to Florence airport. All prices are per car.
