Bed and Breakfast La Signoria di Firenze - Florence

All was OK except noise in the street, just in front of our window, very important since 6 o'clock in the morning.

Super location, very nice owners, clean, decent breakfast, great value. Very satisfied! The only thing missing from this hotel is 24-hour front desk support, for things like recommendations, help with dinner reservations, etc. The desk is pretty much staffed from breakfast until mid-afternoon only; let them know when you expect to arrive so they can be there. I was glad I had a little bit of Italian, as it made communicating with the owners a bit easier. The hotel itself was nice and quiet, there was only a little standard early morning city street noise for trash pickup, street cleaning, etc. The actual street was not labeled on my tourist map; be sure to google it before you go. Also there is no elevator, if that is a concern, and it's up 2 floors to the hotel quarters.

This B&B was a gem. It was clean, in a great location right near the Piazza della Signoria, and a quick walk to all of the sights. It was totally renovated and modernized a few years ago. The owners were more than accomodating, it had air conditioning, a desk in the room, and good internet service. The breakfast was cold, but adequate. I stayed in the single room which was well equipped with a twin bed and closet. The bathroom was a good size and had a comfortable shower stall. The windows blocked out any noise at night. Would not hesitate to return or recommend it.

This was a very clean, spacious, and impressive bed and breakfast. I wish that I had stayed longer- the modern room, service, and overall space are even better than represented in the pictures. The location is excellent! I had not stayed in a bed and breakfast before but would highly recommend La Signoria di Firenze to a friend visiting Florence.

We had a wonderful stay and the rooms and location were great. Very quiet considering you were in the heart of Florence-there were good windows that really kept out any street noise. Luciano and family were very welcoming and the breakfasts and espresso in the AM got us seeing the sights early. Included internet was a nice bonus. Would return in a heartbeat!

This was my first time at La Signoria di Firenze. I was in Firenze alone for one night before I met my family. This B&B was perfect. The single room is small, but the space is perfect for a single person. Everything was very neat and clean. I slept with the window open and was not bothered by any noise - inside or outside. The location was also perfect. The breakfast met my expectation and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. I'll be back if I stay in Firenze again.

I'm fully satisfied with all contents and staffs of hotel. Particularly hotel staffs are very courteour.

Stayed four nights - fabulous service and a great location. My only request would be that the bed was a little softer, otherwise Luciana was wonderful and a great place to stay.

This B&B is the perfect location for a stay in Firenze.Our hosts Luciano and Luciana made us feel very welcome,nothing was to much trouble for them. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good and Luciano makes a great expresso! We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this B&B to other travelers.

I liked this hotel very much - excellent value for a superb location. What I most liked was the hospitality shown by the owners and their enthusism for helping us - whether it be with the luggage, places to visit, timely responses etc. I would definitely go back again.

Gorgeous little place right in the heart of Florence, with the Uffizi, the Cathedral, Ponte Vecchio, the Boboli Gardens as next door neighbours. Very nice and helpful staff, spacious rooms, good breakfast. Close to Stazione S.Maria Novella.

I will give you the good and the bad for this B&B. The good is the owner. He is VERY welcoming and kind. He carried my heavy suitcase up and down the 3 flights of stairs (my husband carried his), reserved our tickets for Uffizi and Accademia, and went over the map of the city and gave restaurant recommendations. He speaks pretty good English also. The other positive is the location - it is on a side street off of the Piazza la Signoria. It is a lively area, in the middle of shopping, dining, and 2 minutes from the Uffizi. It is about a 25 minute walk with luggage to the train station. We never used public transportation the whole time we were there. Now the negatives...the bed is VERY uncomfortable. It felt like sleeping on the floor. I am only 30 and I woke up stiff every day. The tradeoff for location is noise and you could hear quite a bit from the neighboring piazza. The breakfast was lacking to say the least: two types of cereal, packaged treats, mediocre croissants/rolls, juice, coffee, cappuccino. The towels were never changed in the 3 nights I stayed at the B&B. Moreover, the normal TV for the room was not working, so the owner put in one literally the size of a computer screen (my husband and I joked his ipad screen was easier to see). The last negative is although the owner was great, he was gone by about noon, so if you had a question/concern (or like us and could not figure out the turns for the key to the B&B - FYI it is 2 and a half turns) no one is there. We are not needy travelers, but not having someone there just in case was disconcerting (the owner did gave us his numbers and said he'd be there in 20 minutes if needed, but we aren't the type to bother people). We were actually excited to leave, and that is too bad.

This is a lovely, clean, B&B in the heart of Florence. The location could not have been better! Luciano, the owner, was so courteous and helpful. Breakfast was light faire but lots of good choices - and the cappuccino was superb! I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone.

I visited La Signoria di Firenze for 1 night when I visited Pitti Uomo. They offer a service and quality like a quality hotel but with the feeling of a Bed & Breakfast. Will stay at their place every time I visit Florence.

My mum and I had a wonderful stay at La Signoria di Firenze. The woman who runs the place is lovely and very helpful. The breakfast provided was fantastic as was the location of the b&b. The only small issue we had was the front door of the b&b (once you climb the steps) can be a little tricky to open. Other than that, I would highly recommend this accommodation.

If you're visiting Florence head for the best: at 20 metres from piazza della signoria you'll be sure to be right there! The rooms are beautifully decorated and really confy. Luciana and Luciano are perfect hosts, you can see they're passionate about what they do: their best to make your staying memorable!
