Residenza Vespucci was all it was advertised to be. Large bedroom for 3 plus a huge bathroom with large tub & excellent shower. Owner Francesco was very helpful & kind. Breakfast was great- eggs, toast/bread, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, juices & coffee. Met an interesting young woman from Malaysia, who lived in New Zealand and was travelling throughout Europe plus a father from England with his 2 children. Had interesting conversations with both. This is in the best location, beside the river within easy walking distance to everywhere. We highly recommend this B&B.

The service was wonderful. The host welcomed us warmly. We wanted to stay longer! The location was very good as well but sometimes we could hear outside but it was not a big problem at all. Good breakfast, large and clean room, and a wonderful host are waiting for you!

Staff was very helpful giving directions and what to see. They had a computer and printer available to purchase sightseeing tickets ahead of time. We stayed in the room with a separate bedroom for the adults and 2 single beds for the kids. Breakfast was good variety of cheeses, breads meat and fruit all cold and if wanted they would make you bacon and eggs, also cappuccino. The view off the balcony was wonderful overlooking the water. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a very warm and welcoming place to stay. The owner, Francesco, was a warm and welcoming host. He offered us many things to make our stay pleasant. It was like staying at his home. The room was nice and the location in Florence very convenient. I would recommend this venue to anyone who was going to Florence.

Excellent rooms and friendly staff. Rooms overlook a busy intersection so it was a bit noisy. The breakfast was excellent, the best of any B&B we stayed at in Italy. Great location, all the major sites within walking distance. We had a very pleasent stay.

We had booked Residenza Vespucci for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our suite facing the Arno River was spacious but the bathroom was tiny. Although noisy at times (I’m sure other hotels would be the same) the view from our room made up for that. The staff could not do enough for us - suggestions for restaurants and ticket reservations at museums saved us lots of time in queues. They treated us like family and fussed over the children, especially for breakfast where they had a wonderful selection of foods and the coffee was excellent. Location was also excellent, we walked everywhere! Thankyou to Aurelia and her family for making us feel so welcome. Overall, we would stay there again.

This was an excellent hotel. I would highly recommend it for anyone. The room was huge I was a little concerned that the bath was outside the room but as it turns out it was a private bath and it was also huge with a soaking tub and a seperate shower. This was by far the best stay of our 2 week trip. Only downside was the noise from the street but this hotel is well worth the stay. We enjoyed the breakfast a large variety of foods including cereal, eggs, (real)toast rolls quiche breakfast bars juice and choice of coffee and the owner is very friendly and helpful. It was an easy walk to town just followed the river I wish we had stayed more than 2 nights.

We stayed in Florence for a night in Residenza Vespucci. The staff who greeted us was wonderful & she prepared for us coffee & tea upon arrival. The manager's sister was in later in the afternoon & recommended some restaurants & bar that we could go to for the evening. Only problem was the toilet, we had to wait for sometime for us to be able to flush after someone has used them before. Otherwise Residenza Vespucci is a wonderful place to stay in Florence with great staff, good rooms & a spectacular view from the rooms.

Terrific facility, in a great location. We had the suite facing the Arno, and the view was breathtaking. Street noise can be an issue, easily solved with earplugs. Slight issue with toilet, but staff could not have been more helpful and responsive. Best breakfast we had in Italy, and a friendly, gracious host. A great value, highly recommended.

Residenza Vespucci made our trip! It was clean, spacious, beautiful, and had a great breakfast. We really recommend consulting with Francesco about restaurants--he directed us to great places and we never had a bad meal. He also knows some great jogging routes throughout the city. The location is unbeatable--would stay again!

As others have mentioned, Francesco was a superb host. He made every effort to accommodate our needs and provided us with many resources about the city (sight reservations, dinner reservations, etc.). The rooms are located right on the river and are perfectly situated for exploring all of the major Florence sights and restaurants by foot. The traffic during the day was a little noisy, but the view was well worth it (we had a balcony room). Excellent security.

This stay was absolutely fantastic! The rooms were HUGE! Very spacious and beautifully decorated. Since we were a family of 5, we got the whole area (3 bedrooms plus family room)all to ourselves. The location was PERFECT. Right on the outside of the center, situated along the river with a gorgeous view of the sunset. The hosts of Vespucci were so friendly. They accomodated are every need and when I left my camera battery behind in the room, the owner spent a heck of a time trying to courier it to us all over Italy. He even ended up picking up the tab for it too. I would recomment this place to everyone I know and I would definitely go back. Thank you for taking such good care of us!

Had the most wonderful time at Bed & Breakfast Residenza Vespucci. Francesco was kind and helpful. The breakfast spread was very nice with fresh fruits and juices along with other delicious meats and cheeses. Excellent American coffee and Cappuccino. Great location in Florence to see all the sites. Francesco made reservations for us at the museums, which saved us a lot of time not having to stand in long lines. Pointed out nice restaurants, etc. Made us feel very special. Also it was great to have free access to a laptop with high speed Internet... Would recommend this B&B to anyone...

I had read the reviews on the excess traffic noise, and yes it was very loud. Just take earplugs. Breakfast was good but it would have been nice to have had fresh bread and crossiants, not pre-packed. The room was very clean and there was a small fridge with soft drinks available free of charge!. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend a stay here

We enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were large and well-equipped. Although not super luxurious the accomodations were very, very nice. Especially for the price. My husband and I were traveling with two teen children and we were able to book a suite/apt. that had 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms which was terrific and much more economical and homey than booking 2 hotel rooms in a standard hotel. The beds were much more comfortable than they looked. The bathrooms were well supplied with hair dryers, tooth brushes, shampoo, etc. The only comment is that the towels are not as plush as we're used to in the states. Francesco made us feel at home and was very helpful and accomodating. The location is excellent. We could walk everywhere. There was parking nearby for our car. Francesco arranged for the garage to bring our car to the hotel when we were ready to leave so we didn't have to drag our luggage to the garage (which was just one block away). The only slight negative is the street noise. However, the windows were amazingly sound proof when closed. The only thing is that we couldn't open them due to the noise. Fortunately the temperature was quite comfortable with them closed. I noticed airconditioning units in the room so I assume that in the hot weather guests can use airconditioning rather than opening windows. I would recommend this B&B especially for families who want to stay together but have separate bedrooms.

This place is wonderful. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were great, and the location - right on the Arno and within walking distance of many major sights - can't be beat. The only problem with this hotel is that the room at the front (which has a great view of the river) is VERY noisy. Its location next to a bridge incurs a lot of traffic, and on a Saturday night (when we were there) you find yourself hoping there's a special circle in a Dantesque Hell reserved for motor scooter riders. This problem could easily be ameliorated if a simple fan was provided in the room for white noise, and we suggested this to the owner (hopefully he'll act on it - he was very pleased to hear the idea). Otherwise, bring ear plugs if you're in that front room. And bear in mind that much of Florence has the same noise problem. The very tastefully decorated room is terrific otherwise; it doesn't have an ensuite bathroom, but you have access to a private (i.e. no one else uses it), lockable bathroom down the hall. It was worth it for us for the view of the river. Despite the noise, we'd definitely go back - it was the best place we stayed in Italy. Nearby are many of the major sights and some wonderful eating places. Francisco (the owner) recommended Trattoria Marione, a few blocks away, and it was wonderful.

Our host, Francesco, was outstanding!!! He went out of his way to see that we were comfortable. He did everything from helping us with computer searches, to making restaurant reservations, to making reservations for us at museums so that we did not have to wait in the long lines to get in. Francesco is the absolute best. Of the three places we stayed during our visit to Italy & France, Residencia Vespucci is NUMBER ONE!!!!! The cappucino and daily continental breakfast were perfect! Thank you for making our stay in Florence a memorable one!!!!!

Francesco met us at the front desk and was so welcoming. You will not find a more helpful host. He made us dinner reservations each evening and even shared a bottle of wine with us. The rooms are good sized and nicely decorated. The full sized soaking tub and heated towel bars are something my wife looked forward to in the evenings ater walking all day. Francesco even opened up the breakfast room early for us one morning as we needed to depart early. Fresh fruit for breakfast was appreciated with all the other cereals and usual breakfast items. You will be very happy with your stay here.

A lovely room with a fantastic view of nearby cathedral and ponte vecchio. Sitting room and bedroom are beautifully furnished in antique florentine fashion. Few downsides include evening road noise and limited range of wireless Internet. Staff was incredibly friendly and helped us make last minute museum reservations.

We are a family with two children, 8 & 11. We shared the family suite, which was big and very beautiful. Francesco is charming and helpful and the breakfast was good. The location is fantastic, right on the river, but not in the middle of the tourist crowds. I would recommend taking insect repellent, because we were bothered by mosquitos even in November (it was cold). We have the same problem at home in Rome, and there's not much one can do, but repellent might help. We highly recommend this place!

A clean, well-maintained B&B with huge bathrooms by any standard. Our 3-bedroom suite was well furnished and very comfortable. But...it was really loud at night. Perhaps the location (right by the Vespucci bridge) was the issue, but unless you are a heavy sleeper (ear plugs) or are a group planning to stay up late, the sound of cars, trucks, scooters and definitely police vehicles never stopped throughout the night. The perk of this building's solid construction is also a downside as the sound reverberated from the street, through the windows and curtains and made it tough to sleep. I can't speak to the rooms in the front, and its a shame because the facility is tastefully decorated, offers a great view of the Arno and is located in walking distance to just about all of the major sites, not too mention the host was extremely nice and helpful, but unless you're a heavy sleeper, I have to reserve a recommendation.
