We stayed at the Rezidenza Le Rodini for only one night, and yet we left our hearts in Florence. Lorenzo was very helpful, friendly and we really appreciated everything he told us. The hotel was very cute, charming and wonderfully kept- even though its on the 6th floor, the staircase up is totally worth it. Great location- a wonderful, local panini place across the street- TRY IT! Sooo amazing. He also gave us a very important tip, about how you can go to bars, order one drink, and get the buffet...free! It was delicious, and we will definitley be back.

We arrived at late night, but the owner, Lorenzo was very nice and helpful. He recommended us good restaurants, said what we have to see in Florence.. The accommodation is about a 5 minute walk to the centre

Lorenzo is SO VERY HELPFUL... he carried my bags up the many flights of stairs, spent ample time pointing out places on the provided map. recommended restaurants (which we LOVED), and made himself available at ALL times... leaving a phone and his phone number in the "common room". We travelled in October and we were quite cold... we wish we knew how to work the heater but never asked. Warm water shuts of quickly- but we found that to be true in Rome and Venice, as well. Our door had a long crack down the middle and the door lock looked as though it had been broken into before- it made us a bit nervous, but the fact that there is another heavy, very secure door with a code to enter at the top of the stairs, we weren't too worried. There were scaffoldings outside our window, restricting it from opening and adding very slight noise during the weekday (renovations), and lorenzo was kind and gave a small discount for it. the room we were in is the picture of the blue/green beds... there was a total of 4 beds in there... two pushed together to make a big queen. room is large. a 'local' cafe/bread/meat shop across and up the street was lovely with very friendly server. At the top of the street is a super market and between those above mentioned places is a bike rental- it was not so pleasant riding bikes down the bumpy cobblestone roads which were many. But, it's a great way to get around. If there happens to be people outside in the hallway (rare) you CAN hear them- but other than that it's quite peaceful in terms of noise. The ONLY thing I dislike about this hotel AND about europe in general was SMOKING! Yes, it is NON-SMOKING hotel... but that's only on the 4th floor, which has a secure door to the stairwell. As we entered the door, another customer asked Lorenzo where he could smoke and he told him at the top of the stairs if he wishes... there is NO ventilation in the stairwell, and it's too many stairs to hold your breath the whole way down- and definitely while goi

Lorenzo was great & extremely accomodating. The location is easily accessable via the train station and nicely located in reference to the city center. Rezidenza Le Rondini is very adequate and fairly priced. It is on the 4th floor without an elevator but it wasn't that big of a deal and Lorenzo actually carried my wife's bag up for her. The rooms are small and basic but for the money you cant go wrong. I would stay there again for sure.

Very good value accommodation. Excellent place with wonderful and helpful owner. The location is ideal...walking distance to everywhere and a bike rental at the same street. The room with ensuite bathroom was comfortable and clean. I definitely recommend!

This place was exactly as expected as far as quality-- nothing fancy, but convenient and cheap. We actually really enjoyed our stay as the room had ice cold AC and a fan, tv, a fridge for us to use, and the owner was super friendly and helpful and marked places to eat and visit on the map for us without us even asking! The only thing we didn't enjoy was walking up 5 flights of stairs to get to the room but not a big deal. We slept well and would recommend this for the budget traveller or someone in town only a couple days.

I will not stay here again only because there are far too many steps. There are eight flights of stairs.

Clean, comfortable. good bathroom and shower. The best value was in the amiable, helpful owner-host, who welcomed us and provided great suggestions and information. Room was tiny, but spotless and in a good location. Be aware, however, no lift and lots of stairs.

The room we stayed (double room) was excellent for the price. At first it was difficult to find the hotel from the street address, as Florence apparently has two street numbering system (red and black). The hotel address "Via San Zanobi 43" is the black system. There is another building with "43" (red) on Via San Zanobi, closer to the main train station, which confused us when we walked from the station. If you are thinking about renting a car to explore Tuscany, we highly recommend a small independent rental car place called "Easy Car Firenze", located at the corner of Via della Scala and Via S. Caterina, a minute walk from the main train station. The service was excellent, and the price was much cheaper than major rental car companies.

This was a wonderful place to stay in Florence, with a great price. It was very clean and cozy; I especially loved the high ceiling and large windows I could look out in the morning. The owner was extremely kind and helpful. He even came and found us when we were initially at the wrong address (make sure you go the BLACK address number, not red). :) I highly recommend.

The staffs were pleasant, prompt and helpful. The room was new, clean, and spacious. I especially fell in love with the cleanliness of the bathroom in spite of its size. The only problem was the lack of wi-fi service. I am sure they will have it by the time you stay there though!! In short, the hotel was professional yet personable! Assuredly, you will definitely get your money's worth out of this.

It was a real climb from the bottom to the 4th floor up without any lift at all. If you are carrying a heavy suitcase, better to forget this place. The receptionist was there only to welcome you, and later he will disappear leaving you only with a phone number to call if there's anything. But he was a very nice & helpful guy.

There are no elevators to the 3rd floor where the rooms are, we had to carry our luggage up all those stairs. Make sure to indicate your arrival time so that someone is there to greet you and give you your room keys. We were given maps and lots of info on where to eat and places to see where there aren't a lot of tourists.

The rooms are very small and lack character, but the price and location are excellent. Overall, an excellent relation between price and quality. I would recommend to any traveller on a budget who wants to spend their money on the sites of Florence (vs. the accomodations).

Location is great, and very convenient for restaurant\fastfood\supermarket\sigt seeing. The hoster is very helpful and friendly. Since the hoster is not always there, I strongly suggest that you had better arrive at the right time you confirm to the hoster by email before your stay. Or you have to wait or call him.

This hotel was a good value and conveniently located 1 block for the Plza Independencia, only a few minutes walk form the Galeria Academica and David. Upon arrival, we realized it was on the 3rd floor with no elevator; fortunately our bags weren't overly large or heavy, but you should be aware there is no lift! This location consists of one floor of rooms inside a 4 story building. Our family room had beds for 4, with just enough space to walk around them. So, it won't be overly spacious, but it was a good location and great value for the price.

Basic B&B in a good location in Florence. Price was good, but there is no breakfast and facilities are very basic. If you want to save with your stay, I would recommend the place, especially if you will use it only for sleeping...

For the price the place is great: it is in the center, 5 minuits from the Duomo. The room is small but clean. The owner is really kind and helpful. Only thing to be aware of is that it is on th 3rd floor (with really high floors!) and there is no elevator.

Highly recommended for the price. The owner of Le Rondini, Signor Lorenzo, is welcoming and pleased to share his recommendations for sightseeing. As another reviewer noted it's better to call Sig. Lorenzo before arriving to arrange a time to check in. Le Rondini is is on the third floor of its building (no elevator, but the stairs are broad). There's a shared refrigerator in the foyer. The central station is a ten-minute walk, less to San Lorenzo or the Duomo. There's a laundromat a hundred yards away to the left on Via XXVII Aprile.

Owner is very friendly and helpful but I would advise arranging a meeting time to book in as he is not onsite all the time.

Very nice hotel, quite, well situated, with private bathroom. I recommende it without hesitation!
