Bed and Breakfast Ape Rosa Relais - Florence

Ape rosa is exactly the way it was described at the web site. Even the directions for the bus from the train station as well. The hosts were great. The staff members were brilliant.When I arrived I got off the bus stop that would take me 7 minutes to walk instead of the one that would have taken me 3 minutes.I called the hotel as i got my numbers confused. So Mark who I had talked to came and met me as I am dragging my luggage along the road. This place is two floors and has no lifts due to the heritage nature of the place so may be difficult for people who cant climb stairs. The large garden is great if families with children are staying here. I just loved this place. where i woke up with the sound of the birds and watch the sun rising over the hills. It takes only 10 min to walk into city centre, only thing is that when coming back part of the way is up hill so I wouldnt advice anyone to walk with their luggage, catching the bus is very easy.

I loved the historic villa. I actually had to decide whether to stay in Florence one more day or move to the next city , and the beauty and comfort of the hotel helped me decide to stay in Florence one more day. The rooms for 3 people are so lovely, but the two-person room is smaller. It was OK, though, because there are sitting rooms in the middle of each floor with antique furniture you are welcome to use. Of all the hotels where I stayed in Italy, this had my favorite breakfast because the bread was fresh and homemade, with a lot of choices for breakfast. It is true that it is far from the city, but the location is so lovely that it is a benefit rather than a drawback. Plus, it is so close to the bus stop that you just take the bus in every morning and come back when you're ready. Not a problem. The staff was very helpful and welcoming.

I was there during Piti uomo january 2012,enjoyed my first stay at ape rosa,the room I stayed Privato is on second floor.Room was neat and clean as well as the bathroom. There breakfast was very good .specialy the home baked cakes . The staff was very courteous and ready to help as n when required. The bus no 4 is very convenient to reach the property from santa maria novella station. definately will like to come back again.

B'fast could be a bit larger, too much sweet things, nordic people are used to eat salty things on mornings.

We found Ape Rosa to be perfect for our stay in Florence. It was very nice to have a quiet place to spend the evenings--away from the noise of the city. We found it very easy to catch the city bus right near Ape rosa, then use the City Sightseeing Tour buses to go anywhere we wanted in Florence. When we purchased the sightseeing tour ticket, we were pleased to learn that it included free city buses. One place we really enjoyed was a trip up to Fiesole as part of the sightseeing tour. Isabella and family at Ape Rosa were wonderful and very helpful and eager to advise us on our first visit to Florence.

Bus 4 commutes between the train station and the hotel. During the weekend every 20mins and more frequent during the week. A really good place to recreate after a day of visiting so many beautiful places.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ape Rosa. Although it is located a short trip out of the centre (well served by the number 4 bus), it is a welcome retreat from the bustle of central Florence. It is a beautiful, spacious villa with a large garden and the breakfast good by Italian standards - great coffee and enough to get you going - and served outside in the garden. This was definitely good value for money.
