Good location and great value for price. The AC was very noisy and the breakfast was quite bad, but the room was pretty good in general. The shower was quite small and I could hear the noise from the next room. The staff is very friendly and helpful and gave several suggestions of things to do and see in Florence.

We waited for about 5 minutes outside the B & B building before the staff came back to greet us. We ended up staying in a different apartment building about 5 minutes away in walking distance. (I wouldn't call it a hotel at all.) The room was spacious. It was like a 1- bedroom apartment with a good-sized living room, though kind of old and with dim lights. We had a double bed and 2 single beds for our family. The bathroom door didn't close all the way. When you sat on the toilet, you could easily hit your head as you're facing (about 1 feet from) the wall and the bathroom was like a narrow rectagular shaped. We stayed on 2nd floor and had to walk up those stairs. The breakfast was very simple. They were just instant coffee packs and individual packaged cakes (like a muffin?!). However, the microwave and the mini fridge are definitely good assets. The TV channels are just in Italian. No internet access in the room. The location of the B & B is good. The staff was helpful and gave out good tips for dining and sightseeing spots. For the price we pay for 2 nights, it is considered as not bad a deal!

Room old, tired, and ugly. Bathroom poor, and breakfast way below standards for a "B and B". Environment of hotel rather scary at night-street full of drunks and men standing around intimidating visitors. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

A great place to stay in Firenze. Very convenient to the train station and the old city. Just a couple of blocks to the Duomo. Not hard to find once you figure out the numbering system (even on one side and odd on the other). The owners were very helpful and spoke excellant English. The room was spacious and quiet with a private bath. Breakfast was minimal. We would stay here again. Ask to see the frescoed ceiling in one of the rooms!

The hotel room was even nicer than in the photographs! Plus the person who runs the hotel is very friendly and helpful. He offered us the option of adding air conditioning for a fee and we took it as it was very hot. Nice to have the option as temperatures vary during the year. Also allowed us to keep our luggage in the room the next day as we had a late departure and he recommended a superb restaurant for dinner. The mini-fridge was great for keeping our water cold. There was a large water bottle already waiting for us when we arrived. Breakfast included a full bottle of orange juice and plenty of milk. We were very happy with everything.

Owners very very nice, make you feel like at home, give you advice on town, art and food, and available in case of need. The room was clean. Very good position if you arrive by train (1 min by feet), but also to visit the town: all attractions are at walking distance. Our room was very quiet, but we stayed in Florence during public holidays. I suppose that during workdays it would be more noisy, due to the traffic outside. Two minor negative points, which should be included in the b&b description: uncomfortable incomplete bathroom, with an open shower (camping style) and without bidet - which requires to be adaptable - and not freshly prepared breakfast. For these reasons b&b price should be lower to achieve a good price/quality ratio. But overall we were very happy of our stay and I would strongly recommend "Relais Florence" to other travellers.

I was in Florence with my sister to see "La Boheme" at the Opera House. The room was clean and enough spacious for two people but breakfast was not included even if it should have been and that upset me a little. Location very close to the Santa maria Novella railway station that is good for the logistics but not very much for the people around. We weren't at ease going out two girls alone.

The room was at a great price and very close to the train station - very convenient to catch our early morning train. And Florence is small enough to easily walk everywhere. The hosts were welcoming, and gave excellent recommendations on where to get food.

No frills. more bed than breakfast. breakfast of instant coffee (with water you take from your bathroom tap, heated on a microwave), and prepackaged danish leaves much to be desired. the room was spacious and clean though and staff were helpful and nice. hotel rate and proximity to the train station are the main reasons to stay here. will recommend to anyone on a budget.

Service is the best, the owners are wonderful hosts, and location is really convenient because you can go by walking to main attractions or take any bus in the train station that is so close. Breakfast is european style, it was good enough for me and my mum, but if you are use to have a huge breakfast you will have to buy some extras. In general this is a great place.

In generale, però, valutazione: 8 pieno!!!

Great central location, close to the train station and minutes away from the downtown core. The hostess was terrific giving us a run-down of the must-sees and a map to help get us there. The room was surface clean, but not clean, clean. Breakfast wasn't appealing...a packaged danish with coffee/tea or juice box. Unfortunately there was a bus stop outside of our window on quite a busy street. Overall was okay.

Very nice stay...host and hostess were wonderful and very helpful...only 2 minor comments...the morning breakfast was a bit too simple, and the soap was not adequate...there was liquid soap in the shower that should be replaced with bar soaps...the liquid soap does not give off pleasant scent. You need to realized traveling Europe these are very minor inconveniences, and I would recommend this bread and breakfast to anyone.

The people were very nice and friendly. The was big and furnished. But it was located toclose to the street and very noisy. The bathroom was not comfortable. Noise from other room was herd very loud. The breakfasr offer in nearby coffe bar was very poor. The major asset of this palce it was close to city center.

Our stay with Marcella and Piero was enjoyable and they welcomed us into their home with enthusiasm. Our first night we did not like our room, number one, Marcella quickly found a solution and we had a new room the next night and truly enjoyed the time we had in Florence. The area is very busy so dont expect total silence but for the money it was good value. We would go back if we visit Florence again.

The owners of Relais Florence were fantastic. They were extremely helpful in suggesting places for dinner that accomodated English speakers. The restuarant by the hotel was so good that we went there twice duing our 4 day stay. Marcela went out of her way to answer any questions. Although the rooms were slightly noisy from street noise, it was nothing that a pair of earplugs couldn't dull out. It's all a part of being in the city. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Florence.

Very friendly managers - little English spoken but communications were OK. A very well stocked fridge in room with drinks & snacks at very good prices. Electric fan provided as no air conditioning.
