A bus stop is located just right in front of the B&B allowing easy access to Florence's best attractions such as the art collections in the Pitti Palace and the Uffizi, or the Ponte Vecchio bridge over the Arno River. You will be able to come and go as you please, and be completely independent, since you will have your own key as well as a code number for the B&B's front door.

The room and bed was clean and comfortable. We opted for the ensuite room. However, the bathroom was very small. There was nothing separating the toilet from the shower. You essentially shower in one corner of the room and the toilet is right next to you. The bathrooms external to the rooms are more spacious (so it is actually probably better to get no WC in room). The owner was helpful and allowed us to use the kitchenette area to microwave food and use dishes. The breakfast was not great(coffee, packaged croissant and grissini). There is free Wifi, which is a redeeming factor.

For 35 Euros in the heart of Florence this is a good deal. Quick walk from the main train station, but area was a little sketchy at night. Hard to find as no big sign for the place. Was on a very noisy street. Real Espresso is a plus and the lady was very nice and helpful. Cab to the airport from here was 20Euros.

My husband and I both agree that our stay here was disappointing. We arrived at the hotel address by taxi, but had to walk 4 blocks, across busy streets, to the walk-up flat, turned into hotel rooms. We reserved a room at Peterson B&B and we ended up at B&B Cassia: not sure the connection. The pictures on the website indicated much more than was actually offered at this B&B, however we weren't really at the B&B we thought we had reserved. Also, the cleanliness was an issue. The shower was not very clean and the floors were dirty and not been properly cleaned prior to our stay. The breakfast included pre-packaged toast and boxed milk. The location would have been great if we'd actually gotten to stay where the website told us we were staying. It also said that English was spoken, but the woman who checked us in, did not speak English and it was difficult to ask questions and get information. The one good thing was that the apartment did have air conditioning.

We've been there just for a weekend and the place was really comfortable. If you want a cheap B&B, Peterson is a good choice. The services are good, the breakfast was "little" but the welcoming was nice. If you're looking for an accommodation near the train station (santa maria novella) and the city center this is the perfect place to sleep.

The 'single bed' is only a sofa daybed, for taking a nap maybe, not suitable for sleeping. i am only 5'4 and it is short and narrow for me. bathroom has muddy smell from lack of cleaning though years. the apartment is on the 1st floor on a busy street, right outside the window it is bus stop, very noise. the beakfast was a few packed cheap biscuits. would not recommend to anyone to stay here.

The location was good. Not right in the center of things, but only a 5 to 10 minute walk to train/but stations. The only drawback was the noise. Lots of traffic noise, so couldn't keep the windows open and lots of "lobby" noise, doorbells ringing and loud talking. Maybe the employee had guests??

May 14-20, 2009. This is a Bed and Bed place, no breakfast. We wanted a place near the Florence SMN train station. Walkable to all the major sights in florence. The B&B is roughly 4 long blocks from the train station entrance (when you pass the small greengrocer, it's in the next block almost in front of the bus stop). It has a lift to get you up to the first floor for you and your bags. They do have a small fridge you can use and provide expresso/capacinno from a machine. Noisy 24 hour main road in front of the place, but AC drowns it out. a very large room.

The rate was good although no breakfast was included. However, the location is not favorable at all since it is on the other side of the train station from the main tourist spots. It would be tough for you if you purchase something in the central market and want to put things back in your room and keep visiting other sites. That is a major downside.

B and B Peterson is exactly what I expected. They provide excellent value for the price. Gino is an excellent host and he recommended a wonderful restaurant. There is a small refrigerator and coffee machine for the use of guests. I wish we had known, however, that we should phone Gino before we arrived so that he could meet us at the building to check in. Also be advised that they take only cash.

We stayed in Italy for 8 days and I have to say B&B peterson is the second best, even better than some so-called 4 stars hotel (the one in Mogliano Veneto close to Venice, if you know what I mean). The room is spacious and clean, bathroom is reasonable sized with free toiletries (soaps, cups and etc). Location is easy to find but since there is a construction work, you may not get there in 5 minutes on foot (lol).

Was actually furthered to another location two streets away due to 2-times change of reservation due, in its turn, to my friends' repeated change of travel plans; never regretted the alternative

Anyway we hadn't met with the host or hostess of the hotel and the person who welcomed us is some neighbour of them. She's quite helpful and kind. But the employee of the hotel who appeared at last just couldn't speak English. The room is Ok, except the smell of the newly equiped bathroom is a little terrible.

This accommodation is basic and if you are travelling on a budget is suitable. The breakfast was a cup of coffee from a vending machine and the host did not speak any english (the same amount of Italian that I know) Location is approx. 15 min walk from town centre so was not too bad. Location is a little noisy. Overall it was very basic accommodation.

We were very pleased to be put into the room with the name of "heart", since we informed the owner that we are couple. The room service was very good. The facilities including a watercooker and a refrigerator, were very convenient. Only it was about 10 min by walking from railway station than indicated 5 min. We had some difficulties to communicate, but not a big issue. There are notes in both Italy and English. Generally we were very satisfied with this choice.

Then Peterson was for us and our budget, just what was needed. It was a good experience. I was disappointed with the common area, as it was just a small hallway.

A good accomodation for a reasonable price, considering prices of hotels in Florence. An inconvenience is that there is no phone in the b&b.

Very good price for people who do not care about noise due to the road next to the room ''Pinocchio''. Too noisy for us. Good welcoming.
