We got a really warmth welcome of the host and a lot of inspiration what to do in Firenze. Had a large room for two with spacious doors directly into this wunderful garden. It was really clean and the shower was fantastic. The place is really quiet. It is a bit to go into the city center, but we thougt it was really worth it and we would like to visit it again.

Florence is very easy to get around and although Orti di Cimabue looks like it is far away from the station and main town it's within walking distance. There are very nice cafes and restaurants close to the b&b that are reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend staying here. Sandra the host was also very helpful in giving tips and advice.

Room was clean, simple but with all you need. the Host is very kind and helpful. mattress was too soft and walls are quite thin while the surroundings are silent. the overall experience is valuable

The place is a little out of the way, but totally worth it. Rooms are very large, comfortable, and Giovanni is a fantastic host. This place is a steal for what he charges. Tours of the surrounding areas are advertised- we took a day trip to Sienna for a very reasonable price. HIGHLY recommended

This is an excellent b and b in a quiet part of Florence. Room and en-suite were very clean and our host Giovanni brought breakfast of toast, croissant and coffee to our room, providing hot chocolate rather than coffee for my daughter on request. It is a good 20 minute walk to the centre of Florence but there is a bus stop nearby. Excellent value for money and would highly recommend.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. The location is a little away from the city centre, but is still within walking distance for your daily treks. Take the bus if you have luggage. The breakfast was simple, but really fresh and tasty. It was delivered straight to our room each morning at the time we asked for. The bathroom and shower were great. The main host was away, and the host that covered for her spoke a little English so I can't really comment on the helpfulness of the staff. He really tried, but our Italian was pretty brutal (our fault, not his), so it was tough to communicate. There were maps and books available to us in the common room if we wanted. I would recommend this place to anyone. We had a really comfortable bed, a quiet room, and a great stay there. There is so much to see in the city that we didn't spend much time in the B&B. But we would definitely return in the future.

The hotel is more like a Pension than an hotel, family-run and friendly, the sort of place you'd go back to again just because the people running it were so nice. Giovanni was very welcoming, giving me a map of Florence, indicating the main sites to see, bus route from near the hotel into the centre, a nearby Co-op store and the two cafes (called bars) where I could take breakfast. Breakfast is included in the hotel price so if you want an early breakfast, you get a voucher to have it free in a cafe. If you have breakfast at 8.45 or later, Giovanni serves it in your room. In the cafe, you get a croissant and coffee; in the hotel, you get a toasted ham and cheese sandwich, a croissant, coffee and a couple of biscuits. The cafe I used, on the corner of via Cimabue and via Ghiberti, opened at around 7 am. Giovanni speaks Italian, some German and is learning English. His partner speaks Japanese and English. The rooms are on the ground floor, with just a couple of steps up into the entrance hallway. My room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The bins are emptied every day. Towels are changed if you leave them lying around. If you hang them on the rail, it means they're OK and don't need changing yet. The rooms have air conditioning which you can control yourself. The hotel is well situated to walk to all the major sites both north and south of the river in less than half an hour but is in a quiet street away from the noise of the tourist zone. The main noise I heard there was birds singing the dawn chorus. The C2 and C3 electric minibuses start/finish at Piazza Beccaria, which is a 4-5 minute walk from the hotel (cross the square through the tower in the centre). There is a Tabbacheria behind the bus stop where you can buy bus passes. The buses start running at around 7 am during the week and at 8.45 on Sundays and national holidays. The only drawback for me was that the hotel TV only shows Italian programmes, I don't understand Italian and I needed news a

Wonderful place!!! very clean, the room is very beautiful and peaceful. It's the recommended place but the weak point is its location as it's quite far from the SMN train station, better to take a bus rather than walk

We enjoyed our stay very much and will recommend Orti di Cimabue to all our friends. Giovanni was exceptionally helpful and created a relaxing, calm ambience and we look forward to staying with him again and exploring further the beautiful city of Florence.

I stayed here for 2 nights. It was a very clean, quiet, and cute room. The staff couldn't speak English, but he tried to communicate very much. The Japanese staff explained me how to stay here on the phone. They were very kind, and I enjoyed my stay very much. Thank you!

Florence is a great city for walking. Orti di Cimabue is not right down-town, but a good location from which to explore the city and wander about. Giovanni and Marie were the best hosts that i had the pleasure of staying with in Italy. Definitely recommend this place! Great value for money.

Excellent B&B to stay. Close to everything- Not only the historical places but we even went to sunbathiing near the river! There were also great places to eat near the Orti di Cimabue. The owner was very helpful and kind and i loved the garden where there were trees. The room was very clean, beautiful and quiet. I definitely reccomand this place to have an unforgettable stay in Florence.

Orti di Cimabue is an excellent choice if you are looking for a quiet, clean, well-appointed room within 15 minutes' walking distance of the historic heart of Florence. Also good public transit connections, train & bus. Bike rental available. I stayed in a spacious single room, with a small but functional and squeaky clean bathroom - all equipment and furniture is new. Light sleepers should request a room away from the street side, since passing cars can sometimes be heard. Excellent value: rates are half of what I've seen advertised in basic hotels in the centre. My host was very helpful, very knowledgeable about Florence, and very professional. I received a great welcome. A simple Italian-style breakfast is included (cappuccino & pastry), and the owner can recommend dining options in the neighbourhood. I will definitely stay here again on a next visit to beautiful Florence.
