Bed and Breakfast Locanda di Firenze - Florence

Well located hotel. Only downside was an unpleasant smell, which we did get used to, although at the next hotel we could still smell it on all of the items in our suitcase!

The owner of the hotel is very warm ,helping us reserve the ticketd of DAVID and Uffiz,giving many useful recommendions! the room is clean and the location is very near the station!

Very central location. Welcoming staff. Excellent value for money. But the airconditioning in our room was out of order.

This place was good value. We paid 58e a night and we had a King bed with private bathroom. The hosts were very nice and helpful. The location was really close to the Duomo and other attractions (bell tower, Boboli gardens etc) One thing to note is that there isn't a big sign for the place. It is only a small gold plaque because it's in an apt building. Make sure you have the address with you.

We stayed in Locanda for four nights in a double room. High ceilings, large bathroom and very welcoming, friendly staff. Despite a leaky air conditioner, which they fixed, the friendliness of the staff and sincerity made our trip wonderful Angelica is just that, and the location of this lotel from the train-station, Duomo, and museums... we loved it. It is also afew blocks from San Lorenzo which we had heard was sketchy, but proved to be vibrant, a great demographic mix of working people, and great food. Locanda is perfect for those of us who love waking up with a neighborhood, watching days unfold for the common man and woman, for those of us who want proximity to important sites without isolation from the people we came to visit. We enjoyed our time in Florence. Angelica was a great host. The bed and breakfast is close to the train station, about a 10 min walk at most. Everything in Florence is in walking distance of each other. We felt safe and besides the noise sometimes at night (which is the same everywhere) we enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this place to our friends and family. Cheers!

Angelica was a fantastic host. Stayed for 6 nights and loved it. Try to get the rooms off street as they are nice and quite. This is a great place and recommend it without hesitation.

Good location, friendly, helpful staff

Locanda di Firenze was a good choice. The staff was helpful and the young lady at the desk(Angelica) really helped us out when we wanted to stay two more days in Florence. She set up a nice room just down the street for the one day that her hotel was booked up and it didn't cost us anything more. She was also good about offering to book tours and train tickets. Locanda di Firenze was not only a good place to stay but a good place to find out about Florence and the activities that one can do there.

Simple but very spacious room.excellent for those who need a place to stay for vacation at affordable price.good accomodation thanx to angelica, she is very approachable.

This B&B was in a great location and the price was great. Angelica spoke English and was very accommodating. She suggested a great place for lunch which was off the tourist route and one of our most enjoyable meals in Florence. We had a nice triple room and the bathroom was reasonable. The AC stopped working in the middle of the night and the street was too noisy to open the window, but otherwise I would highly recommend this B&B.

Very friendly staff.

Without a doubt one of the nicest place we stayed in during our month in Italy. There was a noise factor at night from the streets but as you are in the very heart of Florence both my wife & I felt that to be a small price to pay. The staff were overwhelming in their efforts to see you were happy in your stay.On arrival late in the afternoon their first priority was to make us a cup of tea. We would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Allthough very noisy from the streets (don´t forget to bring earplugs) and somewhat small for a 3bedroom, the host (il professore)is very friendly and helpful. The location excellent, the rooms very clean, the breakfast plentiful. Would stay there again.

Great location: 5 minutes walk from the train station and yet around the corner from the market and minutes walk from the Duomo and the Academia. The host is a charming retired professor from the local university, and althogh not fluent in english, he went a long way to satisfy our needs, even late on sunday night. elevator is a bit densed, but the room itself has lot of space. Price is somewhat expensive, but the value is more than fair. I would definately recomend this B&B.
