Bed and Breakfast Le Stanze di Caterina - Florence

Le Stanze was perfect for our stay in Florence. It is literally a stones throw from the Duomo which makes it a perfect base for sight seeing and shopping. The room is stylishly furnished yet comfortable and kept very clean. We ate in the restaurant downstairs for one night and the food was excellent. Allessandra helped us select a very good Italian wine in our price range and at the end of the meal gave us complimentary home made balsamic chocolates - these were honestly the best chocolates I have ever eaten! Our only suggested improvements would be that they supply an iron and ironing board for guests, milk for us brits to have with our tea in the mornings and larger bath towels. We would definitely recommend this place to stay in Florence and would stay again if we are lucky enough to go back!

We met Alessandra the manager who was wonderful, helpful and very concerned for our comfort. We arrived several hours late after 10 PM and she had stayed late to meet us with a pleasant greeting. The love and love of beauty that created this hotel is evident from the moment we opened the hotel's lobby door. Our room was simply beautiful. It was a spotlessly clean, ultra-modern oasis with a very comfortable queen bed, crystal clear large flat screen TV, dining area and luxurious ultra modern bath. We also ate at the hotel's restaurant and experienced a fabulous dinner while seated a mere 30 steps from the Duomo in the Heart of Florence. We loved our stay, and you will too

Excellent accommodations in truly an amazing location. We liked it so much, we are staying there for the last three nights of our trip after coming back from the hills of Tuscany. Plus, the restaurant is the best we have had so far.

Le Stanze di Caterina is definitely worth a stay! The rooms are very special with love to details. Even though the town house is very close to the Dome we did not hear any noise from the street. The restaurant Il Caminetto downstairs is owned by the same family and serves great food and wines to really moderate prices! Alessandra helped us out with any kind of information we needed. She was a real gift for us since we had some trouble with our airline etc. Le stanze di carterina is a special place for people who enjoy high quality in hotel rooms and service.

This is a true find. Can not wait to return and stay there and eat at the restaurant downstairs that is out of this world.

The best feature for this accomodation is its location being right in the middle of all major sites. the whole residence and our room itself were very clean and impeccably designed down to the details; but too dark and small. it felt like being in a cave and hard for two people to move around especially if they are of large statures. we think it is a very good place for lovebirds,lol.. nontheless, the food and cappuccino were excellent down stairs and the host very accomodating. we enjoyed this stylish accomodation although we felt the room was little over priced.
