My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the room with the antique fresco ceiling. Ulrica welcomed us very warmly. We were treated like friends and she made us feel very welcome. We met Fabio in the evening and he too was very nice and accommodating. We requested for a water boiler. He gave us one including cups and tea bags. The B&B was very easy to find. As instructed by Ulrika and Fabio thru email, we walked to Via Panzani from the train station. We took the C2 bus and got off at Via Ghibbelina. It is a very short walk from there. All the tourist spots are an easy walk from the B&B. The room was nice and the bathroom very clean. Breakfast was alright and filling. Wifi is provided free of charge in the room. Service is what makes this place the best for us. Fabio and Ulrika would go out of their way to provide everything that their guests would need.

We were so well looked after by our beautiful hostess..always smiling and happy, yummy and varied breakfasts and drinks, complimented by the delicious brewed coffee. It was safe, triple locks.. and in a great location for all the sights, river, restaurants and bars....we fell into bed every night after lovely hot showers and crisp clean linen to dry our aching muscles....made us a special breakfast pack on the day we left early for out trip to Cinque Terre...so considerate and kind..Thankyou for such a wonderful interlude at Le Seggiol

I just returned from Florence, and I am still impressed by the journey. We arrived at Le Seggiole Monday afternoon and Ulrika was there, expecting us. She was extremely nice and helpful, and she gave us all information about places, and buses and trains and so on.. Our room was quite large, and the furniture was new. The bathroom is small, but you have everything you could want. The rooms are very clean, the TV is new. The breakfast was included, and it was very pleasant, as everybody was sitting at a large table and talking about their trips with a large cup of very good Italian coffee. We really felt like coming home in the evening, and even in the afternoon, to have siesta. I would definitely return to Le Seggiole.

Such a fantastic to place to stay, right in the very heart of Florence and within easy reach of all its attractions! I loved the decor which was incredibly modern and understated. My room was so well equipped, with a comfortable double-bed (finally!), flatscreen tv and free wifi. The experience was only enhanced further by the wonderful hosts – from the minute that I walked through the door, they were so very obliging and genuinely interested in me and my story, that it felt like home. I am an Australian trying to make her way in Italy and they even went so far as to indulge my attemtps at speaking Italian! Thankfully, they both have exceptional English, so that when I flailed it was easy enough to revert back to my mother tongue. Le Seggiole makes for a truly unique and pleasant escape from the tired, drab and depressing accommodation that can be all too common (especially for a budget-minded person travelling alone). And it was so welcoming to have a good night’s sleep on a double bed in a quiet room – after earlier experiences of staying in the heart of Florence and being woken constantly by discomfort or the continuous echoing voices as others made their way down the street. I loved the big communal dining table, which made for a nice, warm and contemplative space during the day and for wonderful breakfast in the morning. After many mornings of nothing more than a cup of coffee and dry bread rolls, you cannot imagine my delight at juice, yogurt and the offer to make me wholemeal toast! I challenge you to find a more welcoming, homely or comfortable stay at such a reasonable price and right in the centre of Florence. After travelling around many parts of Italy, this has certainly been a standout for me and I will strongly be recommending it to anyone I know who is visiting Florence.

This is an excellent B&B within blocks of the Duomo in Florence. Hostess Ulrika was so welcoming and very helpful in helping us find things in the city. Big room with triple paned glass to keep out noise. We understand there is no airconditoning so keep that in mind in warmer weather. We are definitely going to stay here again when we return to Florence.

We met wonderful people there, not only the owners that were charming and helpful but the other guests. The time there was fantastic, the place is modest but we felt very well welcome and the atmosphere there was fantastic.

We think this is one great B&B in Florence. The rooms are very nice, it is clean and the owners are very caring about making the stay comfortable. There are no problems with communication as they are multilingual, for example speaking excellent Italian, English, Spanish and Swedish. The beds are comfortable and there are generally much space in the rooms, ours also had a TV. We really recommend this to everyone who wants to live close to the city centre in nicely renovated rooms. It is excellent that there are wifi Internet connection available and even a computer to use.

Le Seggiole is located the center of Florence, very near the main attractions of the city. The rooms are very clean and spacious, it is generally simple and tastefully decorated. We were very comfortable, except that on Saturday night there was little fanfare on the street where is located. Except for that, for us it was perfect.

Good location although really noisy as the traffic started up in the morning. Car alarms also frequently went off during the night - not the hotel's fault! This is a mainly unmanaged apartment and you will have difficulty getting hold of someone if you need anything. The person who checked us in didn't seem to know what he was doing, although our Italian is about as good as his English!

Central accommodation, close to everything. Lots of noise in the street though. Breakfasts were adequate. All in all, a good choice price vs quality.
