Bed and Breakfast Il Magnifico - Florence

The hostel is very near to center, but in a quiet zone. The personal is really competent! we were the couple whit 3 children and , my opinion of this hostel is very very positive . congratulations!

The location is wonderful- just south of the Arno, and easily walkable to the rest of Florence. There is no parking, so we parked at the free public lot at Piazzale Michaelangelo, a 10 minute walk away. Letitzia was very helpful. There are a lot of stairs to climb! The room doesn't have air-conditioning, and did get pretty hot during July days, was better at night, but noisy. The breakfast is pretty minimal, but we were able to have some use of the kitchen, which helped.

A very nice place to stay! We had the pleasure to sleep in one of the rooms with view to the Arno and the city, very beautiful. And only few steps to the historic centre. The owners are very friendly and courteous.

The perfect location when staying in Florence. Walking distance from all the main attractions, with beautiful views overlooking the city. The staff were extremely helpful when helping us with our excursions. The rooms were cleaned everyday and breakfast was given the night before which meant we could eat as early or as late in the morning as we liked. The only problem I found with the B&B was that even though we had our own bathroom we had to walk down the hall to reach it. Ours in particular was outside of the reception desk, a little awkward when you come out of the shower. They do however leave each room a bath robe so that was helpful. Overall the stay was very pleasant and would return in the near future.

Fantastic Florence hotel all thanks to the lovely man who runs it. He is incredibly knowledgeable, extremely friendly and speaks a number of languages fluently. Hotel is well located by the river, with a great view from the rooms.

Alain and his wife are very friendly, we really appreciate their hospitality. We had our breakfast in the room every morning, we felt like at our own home. The bathroom was enough spacious as the room. We had a beautiful view to the historical center from our window room. Enjoy your time in Florence, so nice place.

We had booked a room with private facilities, but received a room with a beautiful view of the river, but with communal facilities. There is a terrible smell constantly in the reception area. One has to walk through reception to get to the bathroom which is directly opposite the front door!! Otherwise all ok

The distance to center was at 5 minutes! All services was excellent, but the breakfast was small and sweet. The badroom was small but very clean. I recomended at all my friends!

Le propriétaire nous a donné de bons conseils pour les visites, cartes de la ville, parking payant et gratuit! Le petit-dejeuner que l'on prépare soi-meme dans sa chambre, pourrait etre amélioré avec des aliments disponibles tous les jours. Superbe adresse à Florence, facile d'accès en voiture, à pied...

Il Magnifico has beautiful and modern, spacious rooms. However, it's on the 4th floor, with no elevators. (Something to think about if you plan to walk all day and then have to climb 4 flights of stairs at the end of the day). I had also requested a room with views of the Duomo and Arno River, but instead got a room overlooking other people's windows. This was my biggest disappointment. The location is good, right at the Arno River. A little bit further than I thought from Ponte Vecchio. The bed and breakfast is located in the corner of the garden. Definitely take the bus from the train station. (We walked and it was a bit hectic with luggage and cobblestone streets and motorcycles). It's very quiet, away from the crowds, but if you want to be in the center with all the monuments and piazzas, then stay on the other side of the river. This place, however, is pretty close to the Piazza Michaelango, which after a good hike has gorgeous views of Florence, and the Pitti Palace. Breakfast was simple... all packaged. It was already placed in our room when we checked in and was left untouched throughout our stay. Bathroom was fine and basic. Although private, it was not connected to our room, but we had to cross the kitchen/office area. A bit awkward. Watch out for some mosquitos in the summer. They have some device thing, but not sure it works. TV doesn't work. No batteries in the remote. Host was not helpful (gave us wrong directions)in directing us to the market, tabacchi, or certain restaurants when we gave him the address. Just know beforehand where to go or ask around.

Perfect. good location, kind master, clean room, the only thing feeling sorry is there is no electric fan. It was so hot, but there is no fan.. T.T I recommend this b&b for everyone. :)

The location is excelent, walking distance from everyplace you want to go in Firenze. Don´t be impressed by the external aspect of the building or the stairs (there is no lift), the room we got was big as it was our private bathroom (not ensuite, there was a hall to cross), the shower was excellent, and everything seemed to be clean. It is possible to walk to/from the railwaystation, but with luggage it´s a 35 minute walk. "Breakfast" was poor (a muffin and instant coffee you make yourself) and nobody came to change towels or to make the bed in 2 days. It´s a little bit noisy (traffic, ambulances) until 1-2 AM, not a big issue if ou are a heavy sleeper, and there is no AC, what can be an issue during hot summer days. But you can come and go as you please, and if you are not too picky, for the price it´s a good deal.
