Bed and Breakfast Franchi Residence - Florence

You have to telephone someone to come for chech in, and then wait 30mins after the call. bad attitude.prix is good.position is OK.

We didn't see the boss and waiting for someoune to open che room for over 1.30H. We phone him to know che wifi pass, but he did'n remember. We never come here again

The owner is never there unless somebody is cheking in. so if you have any questions/comments or need information, there is nobody around to ask.

Good place to stay

Great place to stay! Quite, relaxed atmosphere. Awesome garden to chill with a cold beer @ the end of the day. Highly recommended !!!

The staff was one young gentleman who had a "too cool" air about him. He was nice but barely spoke English. The B&B itself was calm and at a fantastic location (5-10 minute walk to most major sites and the train station), although the street that the B&B itself was on was under major construction.

Plus: delightful simple and economical place, short walk from centre of Florence. minus: check-in amounts to a locked street door with a phone number on it! after six failed attempts to call, we retired to the bar on the corner and sent an angry text message; a few minutes we got a call saying the door was open.

Just 1 night there. dirty and noisy.no luggage room, B&B..without breakfast!

They do not serve breakfast, so it is just a hotel. The room was nice with an entry area, private bath, and bedroom. The bed was extremely hard. It wasn't far from most of the sights, but the sidewalks were very narrow and difficult getting your luggage there from the train station initially, but after that, it was a good location to set out from.

The hostess is very friendly. The room is clean. The B&B is beautiful. But the B&B doesn't offer breakfast.

It was the first time we stayed at Bed & Breakfast Franchi Residence. The location is ok. I stayed in Florence 3 days and we visited almost every highlights of the city by foot. The old center is about 3-4 km in diameter and Franchi is at is towards its northern edge. you can reach the Dome, the Academia, Medici Chapel is 5 min, the station, Uffizi, Michelangelo's house in 10 min, Pitti Palace and Boboli garden in 15-20min. They have a little green area, about 30m2, but we couldn't enjoyed for the neighbor’s dog went mad. We had room nr. 5, enough space, not to much light, with bath and toilet, good enough, but the sheets were dirty, and we used our own, hot water only last for 5 min, then we'll have to wait for the boiler to heat another charge. These are the only minuses. On more thing, get a city map.

Easy walk from the train station, met by a pleasant lady who checked us in at the quoted price. We had the front room which was roomy but right on the street and noisy with the window open. It was hot weather so we needed it open as there was no airconditioning. Very conveniently located with cafe for breakfast,(breakfast not provided) laundry nearby and walking distance to many sights.

I would totally recommend this place. The only objection would be that they didnt clean the rooms during the 3 days of our stay. Great price and comfortable rooms. Very quite, very nice garden. Its ubication is great.

Very very recommended budget alternative, the beds were uncomfortable, that's the only minus.

Although called in advance, we waited 15 minutes in the front door for the owner. We stayed 3 nights there and we were told in the 2nd day that there is certain B&B law regarding changing towls in Italy that clients should use the towls for at least 3 days before towls can be changed. However after we insisted, the owner agree to provde us with new towls. We appreciate the owner's generousness. The localtion is good and the community is quiet. But you can easily hear the voice of your neighbour. The public area is ok. From the photo it looks better. By the absolut amount, this place is cheaper, however they don't provide breakfast and there are a lot of flying bugs in the room. By spending 70Euro per night in Rome, the B&B in Rome is 10 times better than this one. Be frankly it is the worst accommdation we had during our 17 days trips in Greece and north italy.
