I felt very welcomed and like at my own home. There is a very peaceful and quietness quality in this place. I really look forward to come back.

I had a very comfortable stay and felt safe staying at B&B for women. Meet some very nice people. A bit hard coming and going as had lots of key entries. The rooms were very hot and they would not turn the air conditioner on which made a little uncomfortable when sleeping, but the locality was great as was in walking distance to all the galleries and catherdals and eating places. I would return to this B&B if I return to florence.

The owner-managers of FWO B&B were the most hospitable, friendly and kind hosts and I recommend them and their accomodation most highly. They are a source of wonderful local information and extremely helpful on all fronts. I warmly recommend them to lady visitors.

I chose this B&B for safe, so I felt really bad that the person I met in this B&B asked me whether lesbian or not!! I think it's better to take bus or taxi, because I actually walked from the train station and I think the location is little bit far. The number of the room is not so much and the room is large enough and possible to relax. There is a bath tab and we can take bath with hot water. Before making reservation, I checked there is heater. But at night the heater is stopped and it's really cold! I think It is too cold for Japanese people for winter.

What a wonderful, quiet, safe and clean place to stay. My sister and I enjoyed the view from our room and to have a real shower!! we met 2 ladies from Bristol, UK and 2 ladies from New Zealand whilst we were there! Great to be able to chat and swap travel stories, but still plenty of space to ourselves. Especially wonderful for us over 50s! Great to have a lift, too. Highly reccommended!

We discovered that one of the top 10 restaurants in Florence is on that street! We had an excellent meal at La Giostra - do not miss it! Excellent location. Good breakfast.

I have been to Florence many times, but this was my first time at the Bed and Breakfast for Women Only. I was travelling solo with my small poodle, looking for a reasonably priced hotel now that the dollar exchange rate is so low. This was the perfect place. It was like having a private apartment in Florence, in a neighborhood which is residential but also very central. While there were other people staying there, we only met at breakfast - there was no problem at all in having to share a bathroom, and it was very peaceful. The owners were lovely and I really appreciated the fact that they allowed me to bring my dog. And the elevator made it very easy to come and go, despite the fact that the hotel is on the top floor of the apartment building.

I stayed in a single room with a lovely view over a courtyard garden to the Duomo. Access to two bathrooms shared between four rooms prevented any backups in the morning, and a nice variey of breakfast foods was provided in the kitchen. Other guests were from various countries and of different ages. It was a relaxing ten-minute walk to the Duomo. I would definitely stay here again.

We did really enjoy this B&B. The place was in the middle of the city so it was easy to go every place by walking. The room was guiet and clean. Thank you Christine for wellcoming us and taking care! And greetings to Karen and Katie to Illinois!

I stayed at the B&B for 4 nights and it was a brilliant experience. The B&B has a lift now which makes it even more comfortable. Liana and Cristina are very nice and welcoming hosts. They make their hostel a relaxing oasis after long walks and sightseeing in Florence.
Germany, May 2007
Lovely flat with four guestrooms facing the backyard, so no street noices which was really relaxing in bustling Florence. Only the birds in the morning made noice together with the church bells ;-) The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the communal areas were clean. For breakfast a good choice of food was available in the kitchen (self-service). The pictures give a really good impression of the atmosphere of the flat which is just wonderful, and the location within Florence is very central. Would definitely go there again.

first time at B&B. Clean, safe and reasonable prices. What more can you ask for? I personally found the manager to be quite hospitable. I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks for making me feel welcome.

A bit difficult to find. You MUST phone and arrange your arrival time as Christine the owner does not live on site and is not always available. When I eventually found the place, another guest had to let me in. The entrance area is not too good and the B&B is 4 flghts up. However they are just now installing a lift so this will make it all much easier. Once in the B&B I found it to be very comfortable as felt vert happy with the facilities offered especially the self-help breakfast. I would definatly stay here again.

The B+B is very clean and spacious. The host can be quite stern but was happy to provide information and assistance. There are two bathrooms which are shared between guests. There was a wash basin and mirror in the room which was very convenient. Both room and bathrooms were kept spotless. Breakfast was minimal compared to the other B+Bs I stayed in throughout Italy and you prepare it yourself at your leisure. Pay attention to the notes posted around the B+B from the host as I overlooked one regarding cooking and received a stern reprimand. Ensure that you advise the host several days prior to arriving of your arrival time as she does not live at the B+B so will have to meet you at the property. The property is a five minute walk to the Duomo and I could see the dome from the window of my bedroom. Buses regularly travel down two streets close to the property. There is currently an elevator being installed into the building which I was told will be completed prior to Christmas - this is good news for future guests because the hike up to the top floor via the stairs is a tough one with baggage!
Belgium, Oct 2007
I would not recommend. It is awful after an exhausting day to have to climb 65 high stairs bathrooms for 5 or 6 rooms are not pleasant .A breakfast with industrial bread ,melt cheese and jam is not pleasant too.The lady who received us was agressive. We met kind people

It was a bit of a trek from the train station with luggage (next time I would take a cab). Once we arrived there was quite a hike up 68 steps to the top floor with luggage. Otherwise the property was very clean, nicely furnished, and quiet.

The room unified in white was clean and large enough to us, the same as the photograph. We did not feel inconvenience because all room has a washstand and there were two shared bathroom. The breakfast was completely self-service, but we were satisfied that not only bread and coffee but also egg and fruit were prepared. The only bad point was that there was no elevator. My mother had a hard time. But anyway we completely enjoyed staying at this B&B and recommend this!

The Bed&Breakfast has a good location, is quite cheap and the rooms are very simple but nice. If you just look for a cheap place to stay it's ok. However, i you're looking for a charming place, go somewhere else because the owner woman was not friendly at all. She didn't seemed keen to help us and didn't gave a good service. We booked a room with one double bed but got one with two single beds and no view on the Dome. We joined the beds, but found them aside every next morning after the cleaning of the rooms. The airco wasn't working. The bathrooms were ok, despite the hairs of the precedent guests who took a shower. The breakfast was nice and self-service: eggs, jam, bread, coffee,... Short: the place is ok, but the service of the house lady isn't.

My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed our 6-night stay at this B&B. The facilities were ultra clean, the breakfast was the best of our whole trip (fresh fruit, yogurt, muesli, bread etc.) and far exceeded the "typical" Italian breakfasts. Although the B&B is somewhat far from the train station (20 min. by foot) its proximity to the Duomo (7 min.), its view, quietness, and overall comfort make it an absolute quality place to stay.

The B&B is an immaculate state, and one can see that the owner really cases about it. Breakfast is available on a help-yourself basis 24 hours, which is handy if you arrive at odd times. The main sights such as the Dome are in good walking distance (some 10-15 min).

Fabulous place. Spotless, spacious and right in the centre of Florence. You can walk everywhere. Excellent breakfast and great value. Only thing I could pick on would be no one to greet us on arrival and had to walk up three flights with heavy bags before we knew if we had the right place. Otherwise value you can't beat. Wish we could say the same for the rest of Florence. Beware. Florentines in general are out to fleece the tourists.
USA, Jun 2007
My mother and I had a double room and felt very safe. We enjoyed meeting the different women and exchanging experiences. We did not interact much with the manager, but instead a very nice neighbor who let us in and showed us around. We definitley will stay there again.
Belgium, Apr 2007
we recommend this place to every woman! the 2 shared bathrooms were very clean all the time, the room was very spacious, there was always bread, cheese, fresh juice and fruits, yoghurt, jam, coffee and tea available in the kitchen. Christine and Marianne

We had a wonderful four night stay at For Women Only. The room was lovely and we enjoyed meeting the other women guests over breakfast or in the evening. It was great to be able to fix our own breakfast in the morning. The view of the garden was lovely. I would highly recommend For Women Only to any women travelers.

My sister and I loved staying at For Women Only. Everything about it was great. The room was really nice and comfortable, the neighborhood was wonderful and charming with good restaurants, a laundromat, internet point, shops, etc., and the location was very convenient to walk to all the major attractions. The room looked out on a lovely, lush courtyard. The only thing that could use some improvement would be the breakfast, which you prepare yourself from various foods with which the hostess stocks the small kitchen. I really like that idea but there wasn't much to choose from when we were there. Not a big deal though. I would love to come back and stay there again. Paola, our hostess, was very nice and accomodating as well. I really can't say enough good things about this place.

Germany, Sep 2006
Wir (Mutter und erwachsene Tochter) waren sehr zufrieden, Paola empfing uns trotz immenser Verspätung superfreundlich. Alles sauber, alles okay.

Rooms were very clean and spacious. It was a safe and convenient B&B for myself and my mother. Price and location were great as well as the breakfast variety (do it yourself). Didn't get a very warm welcome at all and that is ok, however I would have expected a B&B hostess to be friendlier.

Paola was very nice. The room bright and spcious. Breafast was self service better to eat out than in. Rooms are on the 3rd or 4th floor with no elevator so you need to consider this when travelling. Close to the Duomo and the piazzas.

I had a lovely stay at this B&B. The location is ideal for accessing all of central Florence. Paola was very friendly and helpful and my room was nice and spacious and overlooking a quiet garden, with the Duomo in the background. I liked the do-it-yourself breakfasts. There was a good choice of breakfast foods and it allowed me to go about my holiday on my own schedule. I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone.

we very much enjoyed out time in this accommodation. We were happy to discover a women-only space, and enjoyed meeting the other women travellers who shared the space with us. The room we had is very comfortable, and has a beautiful view into a courtyard garden. The location is very convenient - within a few blocks of all the important museums and galleries, not far from the river - but remarkably quiet and private. It should be noted somewhere in the advertising, however, that the space is on the the fourth floor of a building with no elevator - difficult for some of us.

I liked to stay here very much. The room was clean, calm, and safety. I could feel relax. Except one problem. When I took a shower,it was stopped suddenly. It was because the water pipeline was the same in the appartment. I think they have the limit for using. Tough I could use it again 1 hour later. The owner is very nice, so I would love to stay here again when I have a chance to come back!

Great location to all the sights and bus and train terminal. My flight came in at night and that was not a problem if you let Paola know ahead of time. I had a room with a view of Duomo and it was nice waking up to the bells and birds singing. The breakfast is self service and that worked out great for me.
