Excellent location in heart of Florence with all main attractions only a few minutes away. Two excellent restaurants right in front of the property but then there's no shortage of these nearby too. Room was very clean, bathroom small but adequate for our 6 night stay. Our only gripe was the 45 steps to the property so not sure how suitable it would be for the less physically fit as there is no lift. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Basic continental style breakfast in a communal setting which we felt could be improved upon but we were perfectly happy with what was provided. We would definitely stay here again and we thought the prices were good value based on location, facilities and service offered.

The location was great and the staff very friendly. The room was also very nice, modern, and well maintained with a few exceptions: the bathroom door got stuck and my girlfriend got locked in there several times when I was out and the shelf in the bathroom was falling down.

Domenico was a friendly and wonderful host. He speaks perfect English and had good recommendations for restaurants, booking tickets, sites to see. (Quattro Leone was a favorite for Tuscan steak esp.- reservations a must. Skip the place right downstairs, the service was pretty bad.) Cimatori has an excellent location, just moments away from Piazza della Signoria, Duomo, shopping. Easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Our bathroom smelled a little musty, but appeared to be quite clean, and the room was immaculate and quite spacious. As with any B&B, confirm your arrival time in advance, esp. if you don't have a cell phone. Typical Italian breakfast, which was fine for us (don't know why so many US/UK/Aussies complain about breakfasts on this site!) We had a wonderful time, I would definitely recommend this B&B and stay again!

The B&B is located in a fantanstic spot, right in the heart of Florence and easy walking distance to everything you'd want. Yes, the walk up the stairs is a pain, but then again, you are staying in a B&B, not a hotel. The host was very friendly and helpful with booking Gallery tickets. Main disappointment was with the breakfast. Pre-packaged baked goods are so cheap and nasty. It is such a pity that fresh produce couldn't be purchased and put out on the table each morning. We ended up ditching breakfast and heading down to Via Cimatori or Via del Corso for an espresso and a croissant. Recommened for the price, but don't hang out for the breakfast.

This hotel was great for what we needed. The room was decently sized and clean, and the hotel location is fantastic - close to everything! Staff is very helpful and friendly, but they're not on the premises all the time (which was fine because we could still come and go as we liked since they give you a key to the building). Free breakfast and internet available in the common room too. Would definitely stay here again.

This was our first visit to Cimatori, but not to Florence. Although the room was clean, it was very dark. The breakfast was a lot of prewrapped baked goods; not to our liking. Would have been nice to have fresh baked goods on the table. Capuccinos were luke warm, at best. Overall, good value for price and excellent location and the host and hostess were very helpful and accomodating.

My husband and I stayed in a room with my 13 year-old daughter and 10 year-old son. The room was great as was the private bathroom. All of us very much enjoyed the breakfasts. We had an internal room so there was not a view but the room was incredibly quiet at night. The stairs are a hike with luggage but after that no problem at all. Host was very pleasant. The place was adorable and I highly recommend it to anyone with or without kids. The place is very comfortable and quaint, with lots of personality in a super location. Also, the restaraunt right across from it is fabulous and affordable.

Great location for seeing Florence! It was convenient to walk to all the major sights. Domenico and Valeria were very nice and helpful - Domenico gave us great tips about the city. He even packed us a breakfast to go since we left early the last day. The breakfast was good for us - fresh rolls, packaged pastries, cereal and cappuccino. Lots of stairs up to the B&B but we didn't mind. The rooms were quite large by European standards and very clean. The shower in the bathroom was tiny but the bathroom was well maintained. The restaurant just outside the B&B building (Birberie Centrale or a name similar) had very good food. Make sure you confirm your arrival time with Domenico before you travel because they do not stay at the B&B - we had to call him on his mobile phone to get the keys.

We felt very welcome here and the location is perfect. It is on the third floor but we got used to that quickly. There is a common breakfast room for all guests which was very nice to start out our day. Staff and other guests were very helpful to us when we needed directions and guidance. Everything that you may need is in walking distance as are most of the sights. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. We had walked to the b&b from the train station and the directions that they gave us were right on. It only took us about 10 min. to get there. One time I started to walk to the breakfast room and realized that I hadn't put my shoes on and that told me how much they had made me feel at home.

We really liked this place. It was great value, clean, friendly, air conditioning, wireless internet in our room, spacious room. The location for this place was great as well, within walking distance of all highlights. We're young, so we don't mind stairs up to the unit. We enjoyed that we could pay credit card. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling in Florence. We saw many different types of groups (with kids young and older, mature couples) and everyone enjoyed this place. Cimatori was excellent in every regard: location, cost, hospitality, cleanliness. My husband and I stayed at the Cimatori for 5 nights and was able to experience all of Florence because of its covenient lcation. Frequently we would return in the middle of the day to use the facilities, or change of clothes (due to weather). Given the b&b's central location, it was easy to pop in-and-out. Domenico was absolutely wonderful too, courteous, friendly, and helpful. Also, Cimatori has free WiFi.

We were sorry that we did not plan to stay longer. The hostess was marvelously charming and helpful, the location couldn't be better, and we were very comfortable in our beautiful, safe room. Cimatori, an excellent place to stay, the folks were really great. Excellent advice on what to do and places to go to, eat at and day trips to take. In fact, they had mentioned Lucca as a day trip. Really a nice place. The location of the hotel is perfect, a short walk from the train station and also many key sites are just a step away, like the Duomo. Okay, I have to admit the climb to the 2nd floor is hard to get up to with heavy bags but, the room was nice and people great. Nice a/c and a safe, right in the room. At the night, it’s perfect in that you can get a gelato nearby, walk around the neighborhood see the sites in the evening. The kitchen area is open all the time so, if you need something, it’s easy to get to. My family enjoyed the hotel and the wonderful Florence.

We had a great time at Cimatori guest house. The home is right in the guts in Florence where you want to be, literally 3 minutes walk from main shopping and the false David as well as 5 minutes from Ponte Vecchio. Domenico and Valeria were wonderful hosts, fantastically helpful but never intrusive on your stay. They are very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas, provided excellent suggestions in town for restaurants and activities. I would absolutely stay at Cimatori guest house again. If you really want to ensure quiet, ask for the quadruple room and leave the window closed at night. The aircon/fan works well, so you dont need the window if you like some moving air and the white noise and good construction of the building will keep out the noise.

Clean…good air conditioning. Location was great. Walking distance to most tourist’s sites. Good food and entertainment within 50m of the front door. Staff was great. Parking at the train station was almost 40 Euro per night…the owner told us about another spot…a little farther up the road…that was only 15 per night! I would recommend this guesthouse. Karl Kohler

We found that the Cimatori House provided a pleasant and comfortable stay. The staff was very friendly and outgoing. They offered easy to follow directions to restaurants and the museums. Breakfast was served family style and gave you an easy move into the day. The rooms were very quiet and clean and the location was central to the Uffizi and other points of interest. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to our friends.

This hotel was in a great location in between the Duomo and the Piazza del Vechio. There are stairs to climb, 45 I think, but Domenico, the owner, will assist you with your luggage. He is very pleasant and we enjoyed our stay there very much.

We had a wonderful time at your guesthouse and will definitely stay there again when we return!! One thing to add - better directions from the train station to your guesthouse. It is an easy walk and most people would like to save on the taxi fare.

My wife and I were a little nervous at staying here as we`d not seen any reviews but on arriving and being greeted by the guy (sorry but we`ve forgotten his name) we knew immediately we`d found a gem. The guy was so helpful it was unreal. The room was spotless and well laid out. The bathroom was brand spanking new and everything worked a treat. The walk up a few flights of steps wasn`t a problem either and the location near all the main attractions couldn`t have been better When we go bakc to Florence we`ll be trying to book the Cimatori Guest House first. We can recommend it to everyone!!! Absoultely top class!!!
