Bed and Breakfast La Casa del Garbo - Florence

If I had to pick the perfect place and location this would be it! We stayed in the Benevenuto room which was perfect for a family of 4. The second bedroom was a queen bed not 2 twins.... But there is a sofa bed (twin)in the same room. We are looking forward to our return trip some time in the future. We were in the same piazza with the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio!

An excellent location. As this is a B&B the reception is closed between 1pm and 3pm therefore you cannot get into the building on arrival during these times. Good breakfast at communal table.

The best place in a wonderful scenario. Very high competence and services. The rooms are clean and confortable. Excellent breakfast. Very good price.

This was our first time we stayed at la casa del garbo and we had great time,we enjoyed vey much our stay,and everything was fine,great stuff, area, all ok. we will stay there again!!

Wonderful stay in a great location. The recommendations for eateries were great and the staff very efficient and friendly. Would recommend to anybody wishing to stay in central Florance

This location was perfect for us...our room was directly across the piazza from Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi, so we couldn't ask for a more convenient location. Also convenient was the computer in the common area with free internet access, so we didn't need to search out an internet cafe. The staff was wonderful...warm and willing to help with anything we needed.

We were waked up at 7:00 AM every day by the staff clanking dishes around in the breakfast area. The location was great for sight seeing, but a long walk with luggage from the train station on a hot day. On our trip we stayed in 3 other B&B's and this was one of the cleanest, with a great location, but also the only one where we were woke up by the staff doing there daily tasks. All in all we would not stay again.

We stayed three night in Florence and felt the accommodations were absolutely perfect. I would reccommend this B&B to anyone and will definetly stay there again.

Casa del Garbo is located in the best area of Florence ( Piazza della Signoria- in front of the Palazzo Vecchio) . I have stayed in a single room that was rather small ( not published neither in Venere not in the hotel page, this being the only thing I can criticize) ) but was compensated by the rest of the services provided as well as the competence and kindness of the employees.I highly recommend this place.

La Casa del Garbo was excellent. It was the last leg of our Stay in Italy and we really enjoyed it. The apartment was great and the staff were very very friendly and helpful.

A small, friendly and quiet hotel, right in the heart of Florence.

The staff was right from the welcoming very, very friendly and helpful and accomodating (we had to change one of the rooms because it was too small for our needs, it was no problem at all). We loved having our breakfast served by Virgilio, who is just wonderful, and we enjoyed the fact of being so much in the center of the city yet in a very quiet, clean place. 2 important tips: If you like to open your window at night to have fresh air, and if you like to have a view, definitely ask for a room that goes out to the plazza. They are a bit more expensive, but really worth it! Also, for dinner: try the little trattoria "Pergello" (? I am not certain about the name anymore, but it did begin with a P )right around the left corner stepping out of the hotel, walking 200 meters straight and you land right in front of its door. Looks very unassuming from the outside, but great food, service and decent prices!

Let me tell you a secret (but I don't want you to tell anyone else), La Casa del Garbo is a little gem. Its location on the Piazza Del Signora is stunning with views from our window of the Palazzo Vecchio and the Loggia. Seeing all the statues immediately reminds you each morning that you are in the very heart of Florence. The room was beautiful - a good size and extremely well furnished. The staff were friendly although reception isn't manned throughout the day. Will we go back to? Yes - I find it difficult to imagine staying anywhere else because the location and accommodation is just so good.

As close to perfect as can be expected.

Possibly the best hotel experience I've ever had. Oustanding location, huge room which was immaculately clean and unparalleled customer service. The staff there, especially Giovanna, was so helpful. It was a real pleasure staying there, and I almost feel bad for anyone who chooses to stay anywhere else. I suppose if you want a hotel so you can have a front desk always on call, go for that, but the apartments are twice the size, at least, of any hotel room we stayed at in any other city in Italy and have everything you need for a week's stay or more like dishes, plates, a dining table and the rare hotel iron!

This was a fantastic place and location. Janis was the best of the best as our host via email before we came and after we arrived. She set us up with a great tourguide for Florence and for Tuscany, took the ladies out to show them the best of shopping in Florence arranged for dinner our first night. She even came and found us when we realized we couldn't drive the car directly into the square the apartment was located in.. she then guided us in and talked to the local authorities to allow us to unload the bags. This was a top notch property I would recommend to anyone.

On-site US manager Janis was a wealth of information and was very helpful. Great location, although noisy because of it. Its basically a 2 room apartment with no real public area other than the hallway and stairs to get to the rooms. I would definitely stay there again.
