The reception was just receiving the money, no explanation, no nothing welcome. On the walls of the bedroom had mold and the bathroom was dirty there was not even toilet paper. This B & B is not worth his money would not even b & b should be!!

Nobody there to welcome you. You havé to phone the gay each time you need something. We first receive à room very tiny, dark and à lot of noise till late in thé evening and also very soon in the morning. Good point hé gavé us dirrctly à better room at garden side' nice and quiet . Bathroom not in good state but cleanless ok. Situation is good to visit florence but it was thé only good point of this bed and breakfast.

This B&B was scary. The sheets on the bed were damp and springs were popping out of the bed. It made for a long, cold, uncomfortable night. The towels provided were so wet, even attempts at air drying them did not work. There was no toilet paper, no tissues, and no one competent to call who was willing or able to provide supplies, dry towels or sheets. What appeared to be cock roaches were sited in the kitchen area. I could not ever be paid to stay at Andy's; it was a nightmare.

A really bad hotel, i would expected something more for the price i aged there, the rooms were old and not clean, the tiles of the floor were lose, it needs an urgent remodelation for being a good place to stay, it is by far the worst place i had ever stayed, i even run out of there at 7 am because it was so creepy. The kitchen was dirty and old. The only good thing of this place is the location but that is all. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL

The host was very friendly, and cooked for us one night. Didn't speak English too well, but tried his best to help us whenever he could. However, I must say it wasn't a good place to stay for winter. Our room was freezing cold...

Highly disappointing and overpriced. There was never anybody from the staff, if we wanted to ask for anything we had to call them to their mobile. When we arrived we had to call them so they could open the door for us. If you go there do not have any expectations about the breakfast, it is only tea and cheap bread with jam.

Very comfortable. Make-your-own breakfast with plenty of food availabble.. Absentee landlady except a short time, so we had the place to ourselves. Room overlooked lovely garden and was small but comfortable. Proprietor very helpful, kind and considerate when she was there.

The staff at the Bed and Breakfast were great. We were situated near the markets which were great for shopping and had easy access to public transport. Sadly the room is not large to accomodate a group of four. You are also not provided with regular linen service or room service. If you have a lot of baggage, be prepared to walk up four flights of stairs.

I was travelling with my husband & stayed there for 4 nights. Pros: Close to train station & the B&B surroundings is not too quiet, so you would have better safety feelings; guest kitchen for cooking. Cons: Breakfast was not provided with items as the paper described which was sticked on the wall. It said "Ham & Cheese were inside the fridge". But it was nothing there. The room was not clean enough. The Wi-fi didn't work, even we tried some public areas i.e. kitchen, dinning area, reception, etc.

We arrived really late at night and even that was no problem! Everything was way better than we had hoped for, the room was lovely, quiet, suitably atmospheric for Florence in that it was spacious light and airy with ample and tasteful furnishings, bathroom was again big and bright with everything the weary traveler might need to refresh themselves between the viewings of various antiquities.... Breakfast was more than enough, plain fare but perfect to keep us going and plenty of it!It's in a lovely quiet area yet very near the mainstream - we were able to safely walk( less than ten mins) from the nearby Stazione at 1.30am without mishap. Andy himself was present each day from ten to one to give us any info we might need - a welcoming and hospitable host. (there was also a huge supply of leaflets at our disposal, which we found very useful)I have already recommended Andy Florence to any of my friends and acquaintances who intend to visit Florence. We will be back!

Having booked for two nights for the five of us at this B&B based on the reviews, I was not disappointed. Andy was very helpful and friendly. As others had mentioned, we had freedom with the internet, kitchen and the apartment which were shared by four rooms. Please note that for those with luggage, the apartment is located on the second floor and access is by stairs. However Andy was at hand to help. Will definitely recommend to my friends. Thanks, Andy.

The facility of this place is the greatest of my stay. There are a guest kitchen, breakfast room with self-prepared, refrig, oven, computer for internet access, etc... the room is so clean, even the share bathroom is in good condition and clean. However, for those lasy with big luggage may find a difficult becuase you have to climb-up many floors

We enjoyed our stay at Andy Florence in general. Andy, which is very friendly, welcomed us when we arrived and helped us carry our luggages upstairs. The B&B was well located - walking distance from the train station and to the center of the city. The room was not as nice as we expected, but it had all the necessary and was very comfortable. The breakfast room and kitchen were great, and we also had free access to the Internet which was great. The overall experience was very good!

A very beautiful B&B. Andy can speak English fluently. We have a double room and a quadruple room with share bathroom. The rooms are decorated gracefully. There is a balcony with a nice view outside the double room. You can dry your clothes there. The breakfast is abundant. In additon, there is a kitchen in this B&B. And have free Wi-Fi. There are two shared bathrooms. However, one is very small and the water will flow out the door when you take a shower. The other drawbacks are that there are no lift and airconditioning. Andy is very kindly to let us put our luggage there for two days. He also provide his own computer to tenant.

Overall, a really wonderful holiday experience. The owner/proprietor is really friendly and helpful - without compromising on professionalism. I have stayed in other B&B's in Italy - I feel many others have a lot to learn from him. The shared bath could have been a concern - but not at Andy's. We did not even realize we were time-sharing with others. It seems to attract amazingly good crowd - every one very warm & accommodating. No problem at all for a family like ours with a 2-year-old kid.

We stayed at Andy Florence in December 2008. The weather was very cold and we felt a little uncomfortable at the B&B though the heating was adequate at night. The location is central, within walking distance of the railway station, but the area is not the best. My wife was not comfortable walking back after dark. Having read excellent reviews, we were rather disappointed, especially after staying in a wonderful B&B in Rome. I would recommend Andy Florence to younger travellers rather than mature couples.

Andy B&B was fantastic. The decor is basic but clean & more than comfortable. The facilities at Andy B&B were also great. Free internet 24 hours/day, a great kitchen facility so you can make food or a cup of tea / coffee at anytime you feel like. The breakfasts were great, with a good mix of food. Andy speaks English very well so sorting out any problems is easy. He is very helpful & welcoming. Andy waited at the B&B until about 11pm so that he could greet us when we arrived. One night we arrived home & there was a black out (no electricity) so we called his mobile & he was at the B&B within 5 minutes to fix the problem. The bathroom was small but clean & the water was HOT! The heating at Andy B&B came on in the mornings & afternoon to ensure the place was warm enough. A very well run B&B with everything you could need to be comfortable. We highly recommend this place for anyone to stay.

Andy is amazing. This B&B was perfect. Access to the kitchen saved us over 30euros a night per dinner. There's a grocery store just at the end of the street. And the B&B is blocks away from the train station. Also close to markets and all of Florence's attractions. We were able to walk everywhere. Andy is great about just giving you a key and letting you come and go as you please. The breakfast buffett was great. He also gives you access to the small fridge in the kitchen which was great for keeping pop and wine in .

My stay was absolutely wonderful. I stayed in many places in Italy, and Andy Florence was by far the best. The price was reasonable, the quality of service was excellent, the food and bed were wonderful. The building and apartment were quiet, clean and friendly. I would absolutely recommend to stay there for anyone who need to stay in Florence. It was more than I could have asked for.

We had an excellent stay of 2 nights at Andy's. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the main rail station as well as the historical center. Despite the central location, the bedroom was very quiet and has a nice view on the gardens. The bed quality is very good, so you can recover well after an exhausting day of sightseeing! There is wifi available for free and we could even use a pc to access internet. So a very good quality for the price and considering the central location. Only the bathroom was more basic but nothing to really complain about.

Day 1 initially a poor room, noisy TV next room, hard bed. Relocated 2nd day to much better and bigger room with en-suite and better bed. This made us much happier. Manager could not have been more helpful. Great breakfast. Both rooms had pleasant rear outlook and no road noise. Florence is compact so almost everything is within walking distance. Only downside is you have to lug your suitcaes up 3 flights of stairs so you need to be fit.

Location is good, 10-15 minutes walking from the train station and 10 minutes to DUOMO and the Central Market. It's not on a busy street so it's quiet enough to have a good sleep. The owner was very helpful with giving us maps and general guidance on touring Florence. He even gave us a takeaway breakfast when we had to go out early before breakfast started(830am to 1030am). This gesture was very nice. Free internet and the speed was very fast. The rooms and shared bathrooms are VERY clean. I never felt so comfortable using shared bathrooms before. No lifts, but you can ask for help with the luggages. There are kitchen facilities and microwaves if you are interested to cook your own dinner. No a/c but Florence on an August night was ok for us.

Excelent for students, young people. Not convinent for families with children, becouse bathroom is shared with 3 other rooms that were constantly full with guests. We had patientce and hosts were highly profesional, but somethimes young children could not waith. During the night it was a bit noisy but it is normal for the city center. I have to say that our hosts were excelent and they made our staing better.

We got the en-suite double bedroom. It was very large with a great view over a quiet garden. It allso had a very large bathroom with a shower. There was also a small kitchen and large dining area and a free computer and internet to use. You are given a key and free run of the premises including the kitchen and coffee plus snack food was freely available. It is also near a market and the staff left chocolates and a small bottle of wine for us, which was much appreciated. The hotel is around a 15min walk to the river and an easy walk to the train station. There was a bit of an issue when we arrived as we arrived early so nobody was present. This was quickly rectified by a phone call. This was great value for the price and i would strongly recomend it.
