Very nice place in the center of Florence in a beautiful area. Very cheap for the location and the service provided. Whether I have to come back in Florence it'll be in this B&B.

We highly recommend Alloro for a stay in Florence! It is well located - only 10 minutes walk from the train station, even less from Saint Lorenzo and Medici Chapels. All tourist attractions are within walk distance. The room was really spacious (approx. 25 m2), clean and quiet. The best thing however was the breakfast - delicious and delivered directly to your room!

This was our first trip to Italy and we truly enjoyed our stay in Florence. The Alloro was easily our favorite of the 5 stops. Cristian was so helpful in making reservations for us; providing an excellent map and directions; delivering a wonderful breakfast cart to our room each morning; and answering all of our questions. We enjoyed waking up to the aroma of home baked bread, hot chocolate, and cappucino. The homemade yogurt was delicious, too. We were in easy walking distance of the train station, restaurants, shopping and the main tourist sites. We loved Florence and will definitely be back to stay at the Alloro!

This B & B was adorable, roomy, and clean. It was also within walking distance of the train station even with luggage. Although it was not on the ground floor, it did have an elevator. Breakfast was served in the room along with your choice of cappuccino or coffee. The beds were hard as were all the beds we found in Italy. I would certainly recommend this B & B.

We loved our stay at Alloro and highly recommend it. Our room was spacious, gracious, quiet, cool and very comfortable, as was the bathroom. The location was excellent, two blocks or so from the railway station and close to all the sights as well as the market. Yet our street was clean and quiet unlike many of the other streets close to us. Perhaps our only complaint is that we would have liked to have seen a little more of the owner/manager who was only around when we went out in the morning. We missed the personal contact. We would nevertheless, highly recommend the Alloro - it was great!

This place was great; price/quality was unbeatable; bathroom was super clean and very spacous, room was as well, the building is historic and has a ton of character; location is unbeatable; breakfast was plenty; staff was super helpful. My only comment - a bit hard to locate - need better signage.

Breakfast was served in the room, and for the whole B&B it was prepared in the hall right outside the door to our room, which meant there was noise outside our room starting at about 7:45.

Lovely, lovely room overlooking a plant-filled courtyard. A huge triple with completely modern bath for a very reasonable price. Old building, high ceilings, marble floors, clean. Owner/manager has not much English to match our basic Italian, so communication was difficult, and his friendliness was underwhelming, but he got the job done. B&B style, so no front desk to call if you get locked out at night. Don't forget your keys! A few blocks from the station and the Duomo, this B&B really delivers for the price. To drive in, get a very carefully marked map. It's a rabbit warren, but there is a garage open @ 7 am just a few doors down for euro 24 a night. Absolutely perfect spot for touristing. Ate dinner at the Porcupine two blocks away, tourist prices, but outstanding food and fun service. Right in the middle of a vibrant neighborhood of shops and restaurants and blocks from the major sights of Florence. Have fun!

We loved our stay at the Alloro. We were welcomed on arrival - even when we were later than expected - and we were thrilled by our lovely, quaint rooms. We had two rooms; both were large but number 55 was very big. Our other room was also large and because this room looked out over the hotel courtyard (I believe room 52)it was extremely quiet and the ceiling was covered with frescoes. The bathrooms were large and modern and we really enjoyed getting breakfast in our rooms when we called for it. We travelled with our senior parents and they certainly enjoyed the elevator. The location was excellent, we could walk to everything. Also, we had excellent meals at the restaurants on both sides of the hotel. We particularly liked Ciro's- the family who runs the restaurant were great and the food delicious- if you call ahead you can request a table under the giant chandelier. The pizza restaurant across the street was also good and very reasonable. We will recommend to all our friends and family travelling to Florence.

This is my 1st time staying in Alloro, and with my hubby and my little son. We're Sooo happy with the room and service here, making our stay in Florence a perfect relaxation! The docoration is so lovely and classical Italian style, room and bathroom are both spacious, romantic, and you can tell how much the owner, Critian has put his mind and soul in to design this :-). Breakfast is also of high quality with fresh bread and Cuppoccino. I would say it's a comfortable 4 star level with good spend of money!

10 nights at Alloro B&B were well chosen. This was a wonderful base for me to schedule art visits in Florence, Siena, Arezzo and even as far as Orvieto. I looked forward to quiet evenings at Alloro after every foray. Next morning in room breakfasts were always fortifying.

We had an extremely pleasant stay at the Alloro. Cristian was very welcoming and the room was large and spacious with a wonderful classically painted ceiling. Although close to local restaurants and tourists sites, the room was extremely quiet and peaceful.

I was extremely happy with the accommodations at Alloro. The twin room was large and looked out over the inner courtyard. There was absolutely no street noise. I would definitely stay here the next time I travel to Florence.

Firenze was confusing if you are not aware of the numbering of buildings/locations, google put us 3 blocks away. Once we found Alloro, the B&B was clean and welcoming, and the rooms where the largest through our trip of Italy. The breakfast was wonderful and brought to your room. The inn keepers provided us an excellent suggestion of a tour for our short stay in Firenze.

My elderly father and I enjoyed our stay. Good hearty breakfast. Good room, although we had a street exposure, and it was very noisey for the first of 5 nights as there is much construction just down the street. I broke off one of the 4 keys needed to get into the room in a door, locking all guests out. They had it fixed in 40 mins. Safe, well located place 3-4 blocks from train station and Duomo, many places to eat nearby. Helpful, friendly staff. Note: Many maps show the B&B to be south (toward the river) off the main road from the train station. That is wrong. It is one block north of the main road (a left as one travels from the train station to the Duomo). Recommended.

The stay was wonderful and the hosts were very friendly and always willing to help. The hosts have tourist information avaliable if you would like to do some tours and have tourist guides avaliable for you to read. Our room was beautiful and I loved the historic feel of the palazzo. It is very close walk to everything in Florence and there is no need for a taxi. Just a note however, if you want breakfast you need to make sure you tell the hosts the night before and what time you would prefer to have it. We will definately stay there again.

Very pleasant B & B in excellent location close to San Lorenzo, main station and Duomo. Several good restaurants in area. Drawbacks were position of rooms on second floor, though there is an adequate lift and the fact that you have to use 4 keys to get into the room after dark. The owners could not have been more helpful, booking us into the Uffizi and giving advice when asked. Recommended

Hotel Alloro, is very conveniently located, in a quite area though in the city centre. The hotel is actually occupying part of a historic building, so for the first time you may pass by without spotting it. There are elevators well functioning, our room was very spacious and clean, nice furnished and very quite. You might only hear in the morning the noise made by the coffee preparation, depending on where your room is, but this is also a nice waking up, us you can smell the freshly made cappuccinos and you immediately get out of bed to get ready for your own breakfast, which is served in the room. The cappuccinos are excellent! The hotel service was good and we were given a city map when we arrived at the hotel. We had also requested bookings to museums prior to our arrival, and they had been arranged appropriately. General tip: learn a few Italian words before you go, because Italian people avoid speaking English...

The room was small, but adequate. The only thing I didn't like was coming to a locked gate with my luggage and not knowing right away what to do, or where to go. You have to find the intercom on the wall of the building on the outside, and call to be buzzed in. Then, you have four keys to let you in the four doors. I was always afraid that one or more of the keys would not work, then I would be locked out. I thought the picture of the lobby on the internet was misleading - it is the lobby of a former palace, the B&B is several rooms one the second floor - there are other offices, residences, etc in the same building. Although everything was fine, I don't think I would go there again due to the access situation (four keys, locked doors, fear of losing keys, etc.)

We stayed for two nights and were very pleased with the accomodation. The room was very spacious, clean, with a nice atmosphere and offered anything you would need. Comfortable bed, convenient, clean, and practical bath. Excellent breakfast delivered to the room with fresh products and exquisit coffee. No public area or lounge but sufficient chill out space in the room. Perfect location in the heart of downtown and a beautiful building. We had reserved 1 double and 1 single. They were out of singles but had organized with the neighboring B&B (one floor down) which was a great place as well. Fully recommend. Good value.
