Bed and Breakfast Affittacamere Casa Billi - Florence

The only two good thing about this accommodation are: -the location : it is close to the train station, to the Academy gallery, to the Basilica and to the Cathedral. -the free internet. Five reasons why not to choose this hotel : -the room: small, humid, too many closets but no desk for working, archaic television, window that doesn't open. -the incompetence of the staff: I woke up the first morning not finding toilet paper in the shared bathroom. I realized when I left that for two days, toilet paper was provided by a guest (!!!). -the facilities: smelly towels, one big towel and another small one changed every 7 days (!!!), one dirty towel in the bathroom... -the cleanliness: doubtful about it whether it is for the chamber or for the bathroom. -The elevator: it doesn't work and the guest chambers are on the second floor.

This was a roomy room with a big bed and nice antique furniture. No sink (unusual for Europe hotels that have bath down the hall). Never got wifi to work with Panda Pad and no help from staff. Staff not around in evening unless by chance. Very helpful when there - Got museum reservations at time of booking for no handling fee (pay at museum on day of visit). Stairs are steep but fine (2nd floor?) No breakfast (bar very close with inexpensive one) Terrific location a block from huge leather markets at Lorenzo church and midway between train station and Duomo on quiet street. Inexpensive places to eat (and laundry?) very close. Quiet except rain on fiberglass roofs down below (plugged downspout?) outside window quite loud even through single pain window.

The location was good and the rooms were clean.

We stayed there for four days. They cleaned the room every day. Small bathroom, but it's okay. The aircondition works. We had a nice view. It was quiet. The hostels were very helpful because we arrived 8 hours later. We got good advises for sights and shopping. I think we'll stay here again some days.

This was so far the worst place I booked on Venere. The staff was very unhelpful and there was no hot water for the shower. We booked also another room for some friends and their heating was not working at all - the room was freezing! I do not reccomend this hotel to anyone

The location is great, few minutes from duomo. The room was big but noisy at night. The bathroom was small, and there was no proper shower. The whole bathroom was the shower. The staff was nice, even if they don´t speak fluent english. It is ok if you are planning to stay for few nights.

It is very centrally situated, making it easy to visit all major attractions, as most are within walking distance. They do not offer breakfast, so you have to add this to the price. To offset this there is a very good breakfast place just up the road where you can get a substantial breakfast for 5 Euros. The stairs are a bit of a hassle, but not too bad without luggage. Lorenzo is a very good host and most helpfull.

is not clear if the bathroom is shared or not, anyway is always outside the room. The personel was very kind with us, they recommend us some restaurants.

Ana and Lorenzo were wonderful and very helpful. I gladly recommend this B&B. There were no meals available.
