Warmly welcomed by Marco, who spoke excellent English and gave suggestions for sightseeing itinary. He recommended local resaurants - we went back to Vino Ollio 3 times - not cheap but excellent food, ambience and friendliness. Enjoyed breakfasting in cafe across the road. Our room was warm, bathroom modern but there was no room servicing during our three night stay.No hairdryer! Good location within walking distance of all main sights. Flight of steep stairs up to room. We think we made a good choice.

I strongly recommend Academmia House B&B. Starting with a great welcome from housekeeper and good recommendations, the B&B is really nice and confortable. It's in the city center, with a walking distance to all interesting places. You get a better service from housekeeper than if you were staying in a hotel. The only thing to improve, the breakfast could be a bit bigger for the price you pay. I stayed in the Antique room, very nice furniture, big room, recently renewed bathroom, and nice views of the street.

Accademia House was a great place to stay. Marco was an awesome host and spent some time with us getting orientated to Florence - where to go, what to do, where to eat. We had our best meals in Florence - thanks to Marco's suggestions. The room was nice and very clean. The breakfast was across the street at this cute little cafe where all the locals come to eat. The location was very convenient, but nice because it wasn't a touristy area. We look forward to returning one day - hopefully sooner than later!

Our stay at Accademia House was the best B&B experience out of the 7 places we stayed on our 2 week trip! Accademia House is a beautiful apartment, but, more importantly, the proprietor Marco was very approachable, hospitable, and helpful in both accomodating us and helping us experience Firenze. Marco have us detailed directions to interesting sites, restaurants, as well as areas to avoid at night. It was obvious that enjoys what he does. The location is about 10-20 minute walking distance from the main sites, though if you do not want to walk, the bus stop is 5 minutes away. The breakfast is outsourced to the cafe across the street, which worked great, as you can have it as early or as late as you wish.

B&B Accademia House was very welcoming. Marco is very pleasant and helpful person. He showed us around Florence and we were very happy with our room. Breakfast was in coffe house just across the street and it was nice way to start a day. Great B&B

Our stay at the Accademia House B&B was excellent. Marco, owner/manager/chamber maid, was a fantastic host. My girlfriend and I had never been to Florence before and neither of us spoke any Italian. When we arrived, late, Marco welcomed us in perfect English with a big smile. He showed us our very comfortable room, we unpacked and then we went through into his kitchen and he gave us a map which he marked with a guide of what to see, where to eat, what shops to shop at, and what to avoid, all of which was tailored to our age, late 20s, and tastes. It was excellent advise, and even though we only spent 5 days in the city, we felt we eat the most scrumptious food, visited the finest shops and absorbed the principal culture of the city. Cheers Marco, perfect host, perfect holiday.

I'd stay there again if visiting Florence. The only problem was the smell of cigarettes, but that's unavoidable wherever you are in Italy.

Very welcoming hotel. Marco has excellent English and was extremely good at giving useful information to make our way around town, including restaurants, museums, etc. Very easy to get into and out of town with a 10 minute walk, though not so easy to find as the house number not clear, and confused by a strange 2-number system for ground floor and upper floor. You need to look at the enamel blue/black numbers, and ignore the red on stone. Breakfast fascinating at lively cafe over the road, used extensively by the locals. Excellent stay.

Excellent place to stay!!! Between fortezza da Basso and the centre. If you're having a congress in the fortezza it's simply the best and cheapest solution. If' you're looking for a b&b just for the holiday i recommend it. The owner is very very kind!!

We loved our room at the Accademia House and Marco Ziti, the proprietor, made us feel as though we were staying with family. The hotel was situated in a very central location, we were able to walk to everything. The room was clean and well equipped. We'll stay there again when we return to Florence and will gladly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Had a very nice stay at this accomodation. The location was perfect just a short walk to the main square with Duomo. Also the train station was only a 15-20mins walk away. Marco, the host, was most accommodating. He spoke fluent English which was nice as my Italian is only basic. He sat us down shortly after our arrival and gave us a map and he then proceeded to mark out all the places of interest and showed us clearly how to get to them all. He also showed us good places to eat on the map which was useful. The room was excellent most spacious (he had even bigger rooms than the one we stayed in) and clean. Breakfast was in a cafe over the road and was fine. It was nice to eat with people going about their ususal business rather than a room full of tourists. Would definitely stay here again if I were to visit Florence again.

Wonderfull week in Florence. Due to Marco we knew where to go and had some very good "insider" tips...Marco is the type of guy who know what to do to have you feeling like at home and the rooms are likewise. Thanks Marco.

We had a really good time at Accademia House. The room was clean and with very nice furniture. Marco was very welcoming and even showed us on a map where everything interesting was located. Breakfast is included, therefore you only have to go to the very nice café just opposite the B&B. To make it short: we enjoyed every minute of our stay and would definitely recommend to stay at Accademia House!

Room was excellent - huge & very well decorated. Bathroom good, especially shower. Mario was very helpful & gave us good advice as to where to go,what to see & where to eat. B&B is very well located within Florence. We found the room to be a little noisy but this improved after 10pm. Breakfast in cafe opposite was provided & it was ok - great coffee.

The rooms here are HUGE and well furnished. Marco is a knowledgeable host that was also one of the friendliest people we met on our trip. We had a chance to have a drink with him and had a great evening. This is in a fantastic part of town, central but not super busy. We didn't have any trouble sleeping as he just put in new windows that keep out most of the street noise, not to mention the bed was super cozy and one of the best I've ever slept in away from home. When we come back to Florence we'll be staying here.

This bed and breakfast was very nice. We were both quite satisfied. The bed and breakfast has three rooms and we had the smallest one and it was big. We seen the other two and they were beautiful as well. The place was spotless and there was no noise. The bed and linens were comfortable. Marco, the owner was the best, telling us about Florence, where to eat, where to go, making reservation for us at the Uffizi. The price also included voucher coupon for the cafe across the street. Our stay there was beautiful. Would definetly recommend it and would go there again. Also he provides your own keys so you can go as you please.

Marco, thank you for all your help! He was a great comfort when I arrived, without my mom due to a problem with her flight. He helped me find out about a previously booked tour, told me what I should see while I was there and gave me a great map! He was so nice and the room was wonderful! The location was perfect, just 10-15 minutes walking to the Duomo and he even recommended places to eat, the street was a bit noisy, but by 10pm had quieted down and wasn't bad during the night. He even called me a taxi the next morning! Thanks Marco for everything, the next time I visit I will definitely use you again!

Excellent accomodation, exceptioanly clean and well looked after. MArco very friendly. Room was at front and very noisy during the night. The only real fault was that the rooms weren't attended to during our stay, so no change of towels or beds made. Breakfast was provided in patisserie across the road.

Canadian couple spends 2 nights in late Sep/06. The room is nice and clean when we arrive. We got a room facing the light well so is quiet. The house keeper didn't clean our room in the second day. Breakfast coupon is offer in the next door cafe, coffee and sandwitch. The price is good $80 euro and is a 15-20 mins walk to town centre.

The house has a very good position if you want to wander around the old city of Florence. Marco is a perfect host and explains the whole of Florence with the help of a maap in 15 minutes. It is nice to have breakfast(sandwich and caffe) in a caffe with the the italians. You're sure to be awake. Me and my wife stayed for 2 nights and thats enough to visit the old city of Florence.

Thank you Marco for a wonderful stay! My mother and I stayed for 3 nights in early April. Marco was very polite, humorous, and spoke English well. The location is about a 10min walk from the train station and a couple blocks from where The David is displayed. I would definitely stay again.
