Great availability and courtesy by the owner, even in solving a booking problem, rooms clean and comfortable (there is no shower box, but there would be no space to install it) and overall good quality/price, convenient location well served by public transport, as well as good public pay parking for the car.

It's an amazing house! The pink building is nice and cosy. Thanks to the owner, he has been very helpful, he gave us the map and gave many details about traveling in the city. We can feel the love from the his bottom of his heart. And the bed is really comfortable! We both miss you!

This b&b was just as it was advertised. Paolo was a courteous and helpful host. The room was clean and quiet, with a nice private bath. It was not close enough to walk to the heart of Florence, but very near the bus stop and only about a 10 minute ride.

We found this place to be very friendly, location was fantastic, very close to the city, only a 5 min bus rid to the centre of Florence at a cost of 1.20 euros each way. staff were very helpful. highly reconmended. GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY.

Very knowledgable staff. Provided good advice on the City and was very helpful at booking our trip to the gallery and getting train schedules. I would have preferred a better breakfast (it was a bed and breakfast) but we read the ratings and knew not to expect too much from the breakfast. The City has much to see, the markets are good, the food is good and the Tuscany area may be deserving of more time on our next trip to Italy. An in room safe or access to a safe in the hotel would have been the biggest improvement. The hotel is close to a train track so you can hear trains at times.

The staff were lovely. I would recommend it to other people. The room was small, but that's OK, there's not much else you can do with the building's space. Oh, one thing, the cab driver I got on the day I checked out ripped me off. You should not use them. He added in an extra charge for no reason I could see and the price to the train station was 5 euro more than I had previously paid. I didn't argue as I speak no Italian and he spoke no English. Also, I was with my child and did not want to let her know that I was not happy with this. Thanks.

Abatjour was one of our favorite places we stayed at throughout our trip. Everyone was exceptionally nice and the rooms were quite large by Italian standards, and the decor added to the warmth. Though not relatively close to any sights, they will help you find the right buses. My husband and I enjoy walking and were able to walk everywhere we wished to see in the city.

We stayed for a couple of nights and were really happy with the accomodation. It is a little bit out of the centre and not in the prettiest district of Florence but it is only a short bus ride to the main attractions or a few Euro in a taxi. The room was very nicely decorated and clean with decent quality bedding and towels etc. The breakfast is not great but we found that to be the case in a few places in Italy. You just get fruit juice, water a yogurt and some packets with croissants and such like in. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the B & B is in a nice quiet location. Its not the ultimate in luxury accomodation but it is very pleasant and comfortable with a good dash of Italian character and charm... I would recommend the place for a short stay.

Our room was actually a compact apartment in a remodeled attic space and though charming, had limited headroom in some areas. It also included a washing machine, dishwasher, sitting area and downstairs mini bar. The owner, Paolo, was gracious, charming, helpful and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was minimal (packaged everything) but adequate. Hotel Abatjour is a nice long walk from the center of Florence, but has nearby frequent bus service. It was enjoyable to leave the bustle of city for this area that bordered on residential.

I stayed only for one short night, not needing anything except for a shower and a bed, but the place is to nice for that. The owner is friendly, takes his time and is fluent in English. Also he pointed out the most significant places in Florence.

Paolo and his wife were very nice when we arrived. Breakfast is light, but you can easily have a good coffee in a Pasticceria just around the corner. We recommend this place, by getting bus number 28 you reach the center without problems.

We stayed in a twin room. The owner Paolo is definetly the best part of this B&B, he is very funny, welcoming and warm. He can't help enough and gave us a very good restaurant recommendation (ZeroZero). The downsides were the location - a bit out of central Florence, the breakfast was just sweets wrapped in plastic and even though we were quoted Euro 69 to stay both nights, we were charged Euro 79. It is not so good value for Euro 79. He said he made a mistake about the price on Venere. The beds were nice and the room is really pretty and clean.

Tiene un ambiente agradable y tranquilo, lo unico que no me gusto fue el desayuno, pero, esto es compensado con la ubicacion del ByB y la amabilidad del Sr. Paolo.

We loved it. The building was beautiful, clean, smelt of vanilla, and always a delight to get back to as a break from a bustling city. Paolo was the perfect host, and we'd love to go back...hopefully sometime soon!

The room was really cute and the hotel is well located. The hotel is near the railroad so we hear the train but this is not unbearable. The only real default is the Breakfast, which hardly deserve the name Breakfast. In spite of that I recommend this place as this is really comfortable and the persons available here speak english fluently (better than, me do not panic ^^) ********************************************** La chambre était vraiment jolie et l'hôtel est très bien situé.

A little far form the center of the Firence. The B&B is much like a family type. When opening the door, you can smell exactly like a home. The book-exchanging activity is quite interesting. Abatjour only receive "cash". That's unconvenient.

This is a very friendly B+B and in a good location for visiting Florence on foot. However, it is situated between a road and a railway track so it can be quite noisy, though there are shutters that dull the noise. Also the breakfast is a little disappointing as it consists of a small tray of food/drink on the table in your room when you check in so there are no fresh products. Value for money though overall is good.

L'établissement est bien placé dans Florence. Nous soulignons le très bon accueil. Seul reproche le niveau sonore dans les chambres dû aux trafics routier et ferroviaire.

I probably shouldn't complain much as I explicitly searches for b&b's of a cheapest kind. So actually I don't, but there are some afterthoughts. I found Abatjour one night price 45E ok, ( can't be lower anyway ), and paid 52E upon the check-out - this is o.k. What I didn't realize is that bus to the center costs 1E a ride, and the cheapness of the hotel was primarily due to the railroad in about 50m. Thus, as it usually happens, the price difference didn't pay off. Nevertheless, I don't want to make an impression that Abatjour is a bad place, because it is not, for such a low price. Once you've found a pair of ear-plugs and don't mind (relatively short) bus trips, there are no problems at all. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, and you can even rent a bike for 6E (half-day) or 9E ( full day). Still, next time I'm on a one-day stay, I'll look for the a-bit-above-the-cheapest class.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the bed and breakfast Abatjour compared to the price. Our host welcomed us when we arrived, provided us a map of the area with directions on how to get to town by foot or by bus. The room was fantastic for April. It may be a bit noisy for some with the train going by, but actually I did not mind at all. In the summer it may be a bit hot with no A/C or fan, but it was perfect in the spring. I would definitely stay there again.

This is an excellent Bed and Breakfast. It is located on a quiet residential street, but with some interesting neighbourhood shops and only a short walk (or bus journey) into the city centre. Our room was spacious, clean, beautifully-decorated and elegantly-furnished. But what made our stay so pleasant was the warm welcome we received from Paolo Manini and the other people who work there. Paolo took the time to tell us enough about the area, the bus service and the city to ensure that we did not put a foot wrong. Also, the idea of making breakfast available in the room is hospitable: it allowed us to follow our own schedule in the morning. We warmly recommend this as a place to stay. Mike and Helen Rapport.
